I slumbered against the ancient tree. How long have I been here? How did I get here? Since when did I get here? Questions filled my head like an overflowing bathtub. It came in to my head again.
"You're Gaia," this voice said in my head, "The Earth Spirit."
I finally managed to relax and close my eyes. I've been through enough confusion today. And then my worries kicked in. I don't have food, water and shelter. What am I to do now? The sun is rising, what if someone finds me here? Oh yes, I am the Earth Spirit. I focused on the ground. Shimmering little trickles appeared in front of me. I watched the glistening water slowly turn into an all mighty lake.
It was a long time since I had used magic. I cupped my miniature hands and scooped up a load of pure liquid. I gulped it down like a horse who hadn't drank for two years. All I needed now was food and shelter. Shelter was solved in a matter of time. I held my hands together and focused on the elongated trees. They curved, swirled and bent into a shape of a cave. I quickly snacked on some juicy berries off an olive coloured bush. I then shuffled back into the wooden cave.
I looked to the sky. I had been there longer than I anticipated. The blazing sun was balancing on the horizon like a spinning coin.
"Who's there?"
I shifted uncomfortably as I heard the sweet crunch of the leaves beneath their feet. But in this case, it was bitter.
"Do you remember a lake here, Sir?"
"No."
I then heard a familiar voice.
"Sir, according to the map, the smoke filled the air over here."
"Where the lake was located. Hmm…"
Oh my, their close. I smelt their scent drifting aimlessly in the air. I had no choice to wait and see. Why didn't I move earlier? What will they do if they find me? I shook the thoughts out my head.
"Sir, it's a cave made out of trees."
"Check it out."
"Sir, There's someone here."
I sat there with fear in my eyes.
"Aim!"
"But, Sir?"
"Aim!"
They pointed swords at me. I needed to get away. I untangled the treed and ran for possibly my life. They were chasing me, and they were close. I jumped from tree to tree up to one which looked over the world. Their scent lingered away. I had lost them. I hid in the leaves hoping not to be found. But without knowing, I drifted asleep.
