Disclaimer: Still don't own it

I watched as Mike got out of the car and put his hoodie up.

Phasing out of the car myself, we stood in the darkness of the night and Mike seemed to be looking at something on his phone.

Before I could go over and see what he was looking at, my boyfriend took off into the woods and I chased after him in order to catch up. He simply ran through the darkness at a quickened pace and I was amazed that he wasn't tripping over anything given the thickness of the woods. It was after a few minutes that he began to slow down and be a little more careful by creeping between the trees. I slowed down as well and stuck close even though it was getting harder to see him.

It was at times like this that my inability to communicate by using a phone just plain sucked since the entire plan was starting to collapse. Since I now missed my meet up with Ezra, he was bound to be worried by now and would have contacted Caleb; who would tell Hanna thus causing the dominoes to drop. Along the way, Alison or Courtney might find out and make their way back here to destroy the evidence. All because Mike had to charge in and screw things up; if I didn't love him so much, I'd be furious.

I saw a light emerging from the woods ahead and Mike crept towards it with me trailing behind him. As we got closer, it was a broken down house with a single light coming from one of the windows. Since it was overcast, there was very little to see of the place so I couldn't get a good read on it. From what I could see however, was an old dirt road on the other side of the house that seemed to lead in the general direction of Radley.

I was then left in a conundrum; do I stay with Mike or make my way into the house to see if it really is the Lair. As much as I wanted to stay with my boyfriend and make sure he is safe, this was too much of an opportune moment to pass up. Taking one last look at Mike hanging out in the trees, I left him and walked towards the house feeling a bit uneasy. As much as I have looked forward to finally seeing the home of the enemy, I could not help but be apprehensive about it since I was walking in blind.
Then again, I was dead so it is not like I could be hurt in any way.

When I entered the house at the closest wall, all I could see was an empty room. The walls were covered with peeling plaster will the carpet dirty and horribly stained. The ceiling was covered too with holes in the roof with some spots that showed the outside of the house; which told me that the rain must really flood this room. Since there was nothing of importance here, I decided to make my way to the rotted door that lay opened slightly with some light coming through; hoping that it would lead me to something more.

I walked into the hallway and saw nothing but darkness with the same broken down layout as the room behind me. The light seemed to be coming from the end of the hall so I simply headed down it, ignoring all the ruin around me. I began to get apprehensive as I approached the light and I thought I could hear the sound of music coming from the source. Taking a deep breath, I entered the lit room and stared at the horror of what I found.

When I had first brought Spencer to my Lair at the motel, I knew that she had seemed horrified at what she saw; especially since I had seen her look at the time. While this setup was similar to my old hideout in certain ways, it was also radically different as well. There were pictures of the girls all over the walls in various incidents that I had used against them during my time as A; but there were no shrines to Alison like I had back in the day. There was nothing but blackmail material everywhere.

The room was also very well kept too with none of the rotted elements from the rest of the house depicted. This appeared to be the front room which had been converted to be the main part of the Lair. The carpet was clean and a reddish color with the ceiling being intact with no holes to let the rain in if it poured. The walls were a white plaster and looked to be cleaned though the pictures of the girls were covering just about every square inch of them. If I could smell anything, I would have no doubt that there would not be a stink to the place at all.

I could see the kitchen on the opposite side from me and a bathroom on the right side. There was a cot in between the two rooms and it showed signs of being used given that it was set up with a blanket as well as a pillow. There was also a little dresser next to the cot with some hoodies hung up on a coat rack next to the dresser. Both the bathroom and kitchen were full of modern appliances with a shower to boot. Someone could definitely crash here if they needed without being hampered.

There was a big black table in the middle of the room, surrounded by a series of matching color chairs all tucked in. These were not just hand me downs but looked to be quite expensive given that they were made of oak as well as well polished. Overhead, there was an old antique chandelier with ports for both candles and light bulbs; probably for when there was a disruption of power to the place. On top of the table was my old laptop as well as another one that looked to be more high tech than that one.

Currently, the room was empty and I decided to look around to see if there was anything relevant. Both laptops were off so I couldn't see what was on the screen; not that it would have worked out for me since they probably had screen savers. So I turned to the pictures to see if I saw anything new. One of the pictures showed Alison in a nurse's uniform and the timestamp indicated that it was the night when I had hit Hanna with the car. The way she looked back at the camera told me that she was posing; thus she clearly knew that the picture was being taken.

One other picture that caught my interest was one of Shauna holding a gun and pointing it at the girls. They looked to be on some sort of stage and I wondered if that was when she had been killed. Come to think of it, I still never found out which of the girls had killed Shauna since they had all been tight lipped about it. I had found out about them being in New York from Noel when he needed help against Alison. I had told him to keep an eye on the girls thus was how I knew that Alison and Cece were communicating with one another.

That is when I realized that my memory was starting to return and I wondered why now of all times. Given that all the information we needed was already revealed, it was now a little too late for me to start remembering things when there was no need for it. We now knew who A is, where the Lair was, and had a plan of attack to end this. So I remembering things now was kind of useless in my opinion; unless there was a detail of importance that I was missing and needed to know just in case.

That is when I was suddenly hit with some feeling and I struggled to find words to describe it. It was like I was being drawn to somewhere and I made my way to the door. Leaving the room and once again into the hallway. I just walked down the hall until I reached a door that was padlocked on the outside. Since was a new lock and required a key, I assumed that A was holding something inside that I felt I needed to see. Taking a deep breath, which I never understood why I needed to do given my current state, I entered the locked room.

Coming face to face with my corpse.

At first, all I could do is stare in utter shock as I saw what Alison and A had done with my body; which wasn't pretty. It had been bad enough that they had taken my corpse thus depriving me of a proper burial but it was how they treated it that really insulted me. The room had a massive hole in the floorboards and from the looks of it, my body had been buried in that hole; wrapped in some sort of cheap rug. When A had sent that text of my body to taunt Hanna, Alison and her sister must have dug me up and then left the body where it was.

My body was currently strung out on the carpet with my arms at their sides. My flesh was rotted and there looked to be quite few bugs eating; almost making me sick to my stomach. I was still dressed in the same clothes that I had on the day that I died; with the bloodstains very visible all over what I was wearing. In fact, it amazed me that I was wearing the same thing except my clothing was clean of blood and dirt. What really disturbed me were the eyes; open and staring at me even though they were lifeless.

Without even seeing if there was anything else in that hole, I left room and knew that if it had been possible, I would have thrown up right then and there.

I didn't even want to know what had been going through those sadistic bitches' heads when they had decided to take my corpse. It was bad enough that they had murdered me but to take my body and dump it some hole was a little too much. They had done the same thing to Cece as well; burying her in some field so that even her family could not give her a proper funeral. I know Cece was a murderer and a part of all this brutality; but still I would never have wished that upon her.

Maybe this was some sort of psychological blowback from when Alison had been attacked and buried. Come to think of it, we still didn't know who had done the deed and I doubted it had been Courtney; maybe Alison believed that I had done it and wanted to punish me for it. I wasn't the one and it occurred to me that maybe Bethany had some part to play in all of this. There was a chance that she might have thrown the rock that hit Alison because she knew how evil the blond was and tried to stop her.

I was about to go back in and see if there was anything else of any value when a sound from behind me caught my attention. Turning around, it sounded like it was coming from the Lair so I cautiously made my way back towards that location. Given the state of my emotions, I couldn't afford some sort of reaction to the environment and cause a premature alarm to go off. The girls needed to get here and find everything intact; not a burnt out husk because A decided to cut and run, destroying all of the evidence.

When I entered the room, I was horrified to find Mike lying unconscious on the ground with a clearly visible wound on his head. By the looks of it, he was still breathing and the hit to his head didn't seem to be that serious. Standing over his body was a very angry looking Alison; dressed in a blood red satin dress than went all the say to her feet though it a had a long slit going up the side to just below her thigh. Given that she was supposed to be at the dance, I concluded that something must have gone wrong.

It was obvious that she didn't see me given that I was standing almost right in front of her; allowing me some relief. Given that more and more of the people closest to me could now see my ghostly form, I was still surprised that she as well as Mike of all people could not. Mike was practically my soul mate and Alison was my worst enemy. If there was two people who should have been able to see me the most, it should have been them. I was starting to regret that I didn't take the chance to ask my Reaper or Benny about that when I last saw them.

"You should have stayed out of this Mike; now you have to join your girlfriend," Alison said and I became fearful that I was about to watch the blond murder him right in front of my eyes.

"How did he find this place?" asked a voice from behind her and we both turned to see a hoodie with an Alison mask enter the room.

When she took off the mask, I was dismayed that the girl in front of me looked so similar to Alison but different as well. The girl was older for sure but not too old; maybe around the same age as Cece. Like Alison, she had long blond hair and blue eyes; as well as a similar facial structure to the teen. I recognized the face though and knew I was now face to face with my murderer; obviously making this Courtney in all her glory. She was even the same height as her sister which must run in the family.

"He was dating Mona so I am not surprised that he learned a few tricks from her," Alison answered and gave Mike a kick to the side, making my anger rise.

"Well we need to move fast, I have no doubt that the others might be here soon," Courtney said as she went to the laptops and turned them on.

"If you hadn't grabbed the wrong girl, we wouldn't be in this situation," the blonde said angrily and I was curious to what she meant.

"I had no choice; I wasn't supposed to be seen and somehow that bitch stumbled onto me so I had to grab her," defended the sister as she began typing away. The way she sounded, my plans weren't the only ones that were screwed up tonight.

"Well now I don't have Emily so thank you sister," Alison said sarcastically and glaring at the other blonde.

"Why is Emily so important to you?" I asked out loud, more curious than ever since it was a question I often pondered.

"Why is Emily so important to you?" asked the elder sister, mimicking my words as well as my curiosity.

"Because she is mine; not pigskin's and I won't let anyone touch what is mine," answered Alison with a snarl and I could see the possessiveness on her face. To Alison, Emily was nothing but a doll that she would not let anyone else have.

"Wow; you really are unbelievable sometimes and I am amazed that you managed to exert so much control before the night that I saved you," Courtney said with a mocking laugh while she continued typing. Alison just glared at her sister and started pacing, making me contemplate on what I was witnessing.

It was obvious that these two were more allies of convenience than actually bonded by a sense of family and sisterhood. I cannot imagine what it had been like for them to work together these last couple of years and was amazed that they hadn't killed one another by now. There had to be something behind this partnership and I was more than curious on what it was. I still didn't know what their endgame was or even why Alison was still doing all of this.

"I am going to get our guest; make sure he is tied up," Courtney ordered and disappeared through the other door that I must have missed when I had last been in here. Alison didn't look happy at being ordered around but went to the dresser and grabbed a pair of handcuffs; which she then placed on my boyfriend.

After a few minutes, Courtney returned, dragging a body in some sort of large blanket; laying it on the floor next to Mike. From the movement of the blanket, I could see that whoever it was, she was still alive since I could see movement. When Alison started unwrapping her, I caught a familiar sight of blond and fear began to rise in me since I had a feeling on whom it might be. This made things even more dangerous and I hoped that the others would get here soon.

I was correct when I saw it was Hanna.
