Haruko: Hi there, umm... I'm back with someone new. Meet my husband, Sekai.
Sekai: Hello! As Haru-chan had already said I'm her hubby and I'm glad to help her continue this story~!
Haruko: Cute hubby. Anyway, I would explain myself further but if you wanted to know what happened to the old crew, you can check my bio later. Alright on with the chapter.
Ben Tennyson, brown hair, green eyes and regular student extraordinaire, is having an existential crisis. He is facing his biggest foe since the start of the school year, Math.
Oh how deadly the subject is in his eyes. And he's sure other students feel the same way as well.
Earlier at school, the Math teacher had told the class that there will be a quiz tomorrow about their current topic, in which he didn't pay attention to the previous lessons and he will probably never will.
God he is so in trouble.
He would have called help from his friends. Unfortunately, Gwen had to attend martial arts lessons, he's not gonna ask Kevin because that guy's as stupid as he is and Albedo...
Come to think of it, he hasn't seen the albino after school. He's probably busy entertaining his adoring fan girls.
Ew. Ben thought as he shuddered at the idea of Albedo entertaining girls. Like how he wooed the school nurse who is probably ten years older than him. Now that is just wrong.
Since he has crossed all of his friends out, he might as well do this himself. Who knows, maybe the God of studying will bless him since he's been a good boy after the last time he lied (which was the day he skipped Math class with Albedo).
Or maybe not.
The male was about to call it quits and just lay on the floor like a puddle of goo when he heard a plink! from his window. He lay still before he thought it must be just his head playing tricks on him after all of the numbers and equations abusing his brain. The brunette sighed before he continued reading the cursed Math book.
Hey, if Benjamin Franklin did mathematics to lead him to some success, then Benjamin Kirby Tennyson will too!
Plink!
"What the—?" Ben said as he sat up, looking at the window that was being continuously hit by small pebbles that came out of nowhere. "A meteor shower during broad daylight?" He muttered as he walked over to the window, opening it wide before he looked around. There was nothing around nor was there any falling meteors showering the neighborhood. Maybe it was some kid pranking him.
That was what he decided and thought of ignoring it for the rest of his day before he was hit on the forehead with a sharp pebble. "Yowch—!" He screamed in pain as he held the part where he was hit. The brunette looked at his palm and paled slightly at the sight of blood.
"Whoops! Sorry!" Ben looked up and saw Albedo raising his hand in a peace sign while sporting a sheepish smile. "Wasn't looking when I was throwing rocks at your window!" The older male said as he scratches the back of his neck.
The boy glared (pouted) as he grabbed a pebble that laid rest on his windowsill before he threw it with all of his might towards Albedo.
Unfortunately, his throwing arm wasn't as strong as it used to be, so the pebble just flew halfway before it ended up falling down and hitting a stray cat instead. Violent hissing was heard before the albino laughed at the brunette's attempt.
Ben blushed a few shades of red before he shouted: "Shut up!"
"Okay okay! Sorry!" Albedo said as he lets his laugh die out. He sighs loudly then looked at the other. "What's up?"
"Studying and bleeding." The boy said rhetorically, wiping away the blood from his forehead with the collar of his shirt.
Albedo just chuckled before he laid his chin against his fist. "Why study? You were never the studying type."
"There's a quiz tomorrow on Math, Albedo. I'd be damned if I get another F or B because the next thing I know, mom's going to take my sumo wrestlers video games." He replied as he huffed.
The albino raised a brow before he shrugged. "Okay, I'll leave you to it."
Ben snapped his head at the other who was about to close his window before he shouted: "Wait!"
"Yeah?"
"Help me! I don't know a thing about Quadratic Functions!"
The older male chuckled before he looked at him. "Alright alright, I'll come over. You better be there with pizza though." He said and then closed the window.
The boy muttered something before he closed the window, wondering if there was still left over pizza on the fridge.
Ben took the half of the whole pizza out of the oven before he placed it on the plate. He placed the hot sauce next to it and two cans of root beer. He's not actually sure if his company would like hot sauce but he does know the albino would drink any soft drink he was given. The brunette tossed away the oven mittens before he heard knocking at his front door. "Coming!" He said as he walked towards the door, opening it then grinning at the self-proclaimed bad boy. "Glad you came."
Albedo chuckled. "I wouldn't pass on helping a damsel in distress and pizza."
The boy rolled his eyes before moving away to let the other in. "I'm not a damsel." He muttered as his companion entered.
"Yes you are, you were shouting how much you need help in Math." The albino teased.
"My video games are on the line, not my life." He said before closing the door.
The heartthrob looked at the younger, specifically at the small cut and dried blood on his forehead, before he pulled out a band aid from his pants' pocket. "Here, sorry about throwing rocks at you." He said sincerely as he removed the paper from the band aid then placing it on the boy's injured forehead. Albedo stroked the band aid to smoothen down any wrinkles before placing his chapped lips against the bandaged area. "Better?"
Ben sputtered some incoherent sentence, earning a light chuckle from the taller male, before he coughed to focus his attention somewhere else that is not Albedo's handsome face. "Y-Yeah. C-Come on, the pizza's in the kitchen."
The older male followed the other to the kitchen, finding the snack and drinks already sprawled about. He chuckled before ruffling the brown locks. "Thanks Ben." He said as he sat on the chair and opened the can of root beer.
Ben sighs before he sat next to the crimson eyed teen, taking a slice of pizza and eating it.
There was silence as both men ate. It was uncomfortable for the younger because he was slightly fidgeting and chewing on the pizza a little bit too fast, whilst the other seemed to be acting as normal as he was supposed to be, taking interest at the paper stuck on the refrigerator that consists of an alien doodle made by a three year old.
Damn it, he knew he should have removed that before.
"So Ben."
Oh sweet, the male would probably tease him about his stupid crayon drawing of Heatblast (which was a doodle of a molten lava skinned figure with a torchlight for a head) beating up Vilgax (a bulky alien with an octopus for a head). Wonderful.
"You're alone for now?" The albino asked, adding more hot sauce on his pizza before eating it.
At least he didn't ask about the doodle. "Yeah, mom's out with some friends and dad's at work. They'll be back by dinner." Ben said before he drinks his half-finished root beer.
"Okay, I guess I'll stay here until dinner." Albedo announced before he finished eating. "You done? I want to start as soon as possible so I can raid your video games."
Great.
"—So you graph the coordinates then boom, you're done." The albino said as he placed down the pen and looking over at the brunette, who looked like he just discovered the secrets of the world.
"It was that simple?!" The male screeched as he took the paper and studied it close, finding something he could find hard about the equations and answers, but none. It was all too easy now that he has seen the light.
"Yeah." Albedo said as he continued his game of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3.
"Jesus, if I knew sooner I would have just slept for the rest of the day!" Ben said happily before shoving his book and papers back into his bag then tossing it across the room. "Scoot over, I'll be player 2." He said as he sat beside the older male, taking the other controller in his grasp.
"Right. So Ben, I propose something." The other said as he exited the game and changed the settings to two players for the younger to play with him.
The boy raised a brow at him before he went on to choosing his character and available firearms. "What?"
"If you get an A+ on the quiz tomorrow, you'll owe me." Albedo said as he chose his own character.
"Well, it's only fair so—"
"You'll have to follow three of my wishes." The albino blurted out nonchalantly.
"What?!" Ben screeched as he looked at the unflinching male. "Why is it three?!" He continued.
"Well for one, you had me help you in Math. I bought you a smoothie and chili fries last week and..." The older male trailed off as he thought of another excuse.
"And what?"
"And it's not like every day I get asked by a cutie to help him ace a quiz." Albedo said as he chuckled, obviously lying for the third reason.
"I'm not cute!... And the third reason is not acceptable!" Ben protested.
"Nah son, you're gonna do three and that's final." The other replied as he smirked victoriously. "You done with your character? Come on I want some combat on firearms."
"You son of a fuck..."
Now he's hoping he won't get an A+
The next day, it looked like black and blue for our young and cute protagonist.
Math class started without a few minutes study or even a break, indicating the beginning of the quiz on Quadratic Functions. Much to the brunette's dismay.
He tapped his pen on the desk, growling in frustration down at the printed paper with sprawled questions, numbers and graphs. Ben did study for the test, but it seemed that his brain started blocking itself from processing the x coordinates.
Fuck damn it. The young one thought as he looked at Albedo at the corner of his eyes, not surprised on finding him writing on the paper with a bored expression on his face. Ben guessed that his cousin is sporting a determined look on her face to beat Albedo in this quiz too and Kevin...
'I don't even wanna know,' he thought before sighing, well he might as well hope for the best for his bulky best friend.
Ben resumed writing, fearing that someone might catch him looking at Albedo like he was cheating (which he actually is not), his chicken scratch text made sense for a bit to himself but he's sure to get a note from the teacher (which is "Improve your writing, Tennyson!") about it.
Okay so the x coordinates are... He thought as he writes the answer and immediately went to the next question at hand, not bothering to double check his answer since he does have a limited time for this blasted test.
A yawn was heard as he knows his seatmate had already finished and took a short nap on his desk. 'Lucky bastard,' Ben thought.
The day of the Math quiz passed and then came in the next day. It was lunch time and Ben smiled happily at his paper which was covered with check marks and a big fat A+ next to his full name.
"I'm so proud of you Ben." Gwen said as she pats the male's back, who grinned in return.
"It's the first." Kevin groaned as he crumpled his paper graded F before throwing it at a near garbage bin like an NBA star.
Ben smiled happily before he saw a certain albino making his way towards him, a smirk on his pale face. Well, this looks like it won't end well.
Once the snow-haired bad boy got to their lunch table, he smiled mockingly at the younger. "Congratulations on your A+, Benji." He said as he winked, which earned a blush from the brunette, a glare from a ginger female and an "I don't care what's going on, but I might as well act like I do" face from a black haired male. "So, about our deal."
"What deal?" Gwen blurted out, still glaring daggers at her rival.
Albedo chuckled before he looked at Ben, who suddenly grew interest on his quiz paper. "I'll talk to you later, Benji." He said, not wanting to be bothered by the people around them ruining their privacy, and left.
"That arrogant prick!" Gwen said as she stabbed her mashed potato with a spoon.
"What happened anyway?" Kevin asked, not bothered by the mashed potato flying to his cheek and shirt, oh no not at all.
Ben remained silent as he gripped his paper tight, feeling his heart beat faster than Gwen beat the mashed potatoes to a pile of dust (if that was possible).
School ended sooner or later; Ben went to his home, accompanied by Gwen since she refused to leave her cousin alone because of something Albedo had said earlier at lunch. Kevin would have tagged along but he got detention for the F he got on the Math quiz.
As soon as they got to Ben's house, the male showed his mother the quiz paper, which brought Sandra to tears. Hugging her son with her arms and kept telling him that he's allowed to play his video games as much as he wants and that at dinner she would be making his favorite food to celebrate the miraculous event ("Sweetness!").
Right now, Ben was playing his sumo wrestler video games whilst Gwen used her cousin's computer for her blog on Tumblr. She looks like she was having fun being occupied by squealing at some cute baby animals and science stuff on her dashboard. The brunette didn't bother with her, so long as he finishes his game on his television.
Just as he was about to do a combo, his door busted open, startling both Tennysons in the process.
"BENTENNYSONWEHAVETOGONOW!" Was all the brunette heard before he felt strong arms carry him and rest his stomach on a strong shoulder, seeing the ground move underneath him soon after.
"ALBEDO!" Gwen shouted as Ben saw her cousin running after him and, assuming his captor is, Albedo Galvan.
The teenagers ran out of the house, earning a chuckle from Ben's father ("Ahh, young kids these days~") and confused stares from the neighborhood ("Damned kids these days.").
Albedo quickly got into his house then slammed the door behind him, locking it in the process.
"ALBEDO, YOU BETTER OPEN THIS DOOR RIGHT NOW OR YOU'LL BE WALKING WITH YOUR HANDS AND WRITING WITH YOUR FEET!" Gwen shouted as she slammed her fists on the wooden door, willing it to break for her.
The albino chuckled before dropping the younger on the floor. "That was close."
"You didn't let me save my game..." Ben muttered as he lied down on the floor, sobbing on the carpet because of the realization of his favorite sumo wrestler character is probably beat up by now due to his absence.
"Sorry, but I wanted those three wishes now~" Albedo chimed, still hearing the shouts and threats of the female ginger.
"Okay, what do you want?" Ben asked, straightening his jacket.
"A kiss."
"... What?"
"A kiss. Right here." On the lips. Oh boy.
"... Why?"
"We had a deal, Benji."
Oh yes, the deal.
"Fine." Ben said as he leaned towards the male, lips trembling slightly as he closed his eyes.
Soft lips met chapped ones. The banging on the door didn't stop but it seemed like the world died down just for the two of them. It's like someone pressed the mute button and all he could hear is his heart racing into a million beats; he's just hoping the albino wouldn't hear it. At least Gwen's shouts and banging covered that.
Ben pulled away, his face pure red and green eyes wide at the kiss he had shared with Albedo. It's not like it's their first but it still made the brunette shy away from the prodigy. (A/N: *chokes water*)
Albedo chuckled as he ruffled his hair. "Too short, but it'll do." He said before he pulled out something from his pocket. Oh, it's the cursed Hello Kitty hair clip. "For the second wish, you have to wear this all day tomorrow." The albino said as he grinned.
"... What." Ben didn't even bother making himself sound like he was questioning Albedo's existence
"A deal's a deal~"
"Fine fine." The brunette said, taking the cursed hair clip. Probably devising a plan to destroy the clip and lie to the other that someone broke it. But the older male knows he can't lie; he could practically see right through the younger male (and of course because he knows that Ben can't lie). "And last?"
The male fell silent for a moment as he stared at the other, who looked at the door which is still being abused by his cousin. He's surprised that it's not been turned into a pile of small splinters yet. (Gwen probably thought she would be sued if she broke the front door because she refused to act like a civilized person.) "Go out with me on Saturday."
"..." Now Ben didn't bother saying anything as he looked at Albedo like he grew a second head.
"You heard me. Saturday. I'll tell you the other details tomorrow. You need to save my front door." Albedo said as he stood up, bringing the younger with him, opening the door and pushing the male out before closing it shut again.
"BEN! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!"
"I'm swell..."
Yeah, just fine and dandy.
Haruko: I did it all in one day! *Pterodactyl screech*
Sekai: *happy crow noises* Q7Q
Haruko: Anyway, review/comment please!
