"Come on.. Tell me what it is you're thinking.." Ellie whined, making a pout-y face at him. He had remained quite for a couple of minutes, and it made Ellie feel a bit awkward. He let out a trill, walking in a bit deeper, just until the water touched the top of his hips.
"Tell you what... if you can't... avoid me for... three minutes... you have to get out of the water and come enjoy the scene with me.. but, if you win.. well, what would you like?" he placed his hands on his hips, letting out a growl when he realized some of his fingers had dipped into the water.
"...What do I want... hm..." she thought about it, then grinned. "I want you to take off your mask so I can see your face." she nodded, thinking that fair enough. "I have been meaning to ask you, but every-time I see you I can't talk, my mind goes blank so I always forget." she sighed, blowing some bubbles in the water with her mouth. Tracker nodded.
"Very well... Seems like a fair trade. You enjoy the scenery with me if I win, and I'll remove my mask if you win. I don't know how well you'll like my face, though... A lot of people tend to get very... frightened."
"Well, I promise I won't be as scared as other people. I won't scream and try to run away, you have my word." Ellie assured him. But, she couldn't be too sure herself, it depended on how different his face looked, how alien it would be for her to flip her shit and try to run away from him. Though, she'd seen things that should have scared her, but didn't. She'd grown up with the worst monster around, there wasn't a way he could be any worse, right?
Tracker arched his back, letting out a soft growl, "... You better start swimming, Ooman..." was all he said before he began swimming towards her, causing some waves to wash her way. Ellie stared, watching him for a few moments before she felt the urgent need to keep herself away from him, she wanted to win the little 'bet'. As fast as she could, she began to dogie paddle, trying to splash water onto Tracker's mask so he couldn't be able to see right and disorient him. He let out soft roars, shaking his head every now and then to get the water off of his mask, his dreadlock-like hair flailing around wildly as water flew off the tips, making him look like some wicked, eerie lion-like creature.
She knew he wouldn't hurt her, but it was the small competition that made her like this. And the fact that there was a large being that could crush her if he wanted chasing her in the water. Ellie got water in her eyes, taking a moment to wipe them clear, but when she looked around, Tracker had vanished. Her heart began to race as she tried to search for him through the water, the shine from the sky blocking her view to the bottom. She kept moving around, making sure to check for air bubbles or any movements in the water to indicate where the being had gone.
She felt something brush against her leg, causing her to scream as she flailed her legs, trying to kick away whatever may have touched her, thinking it was some sort of fish or snake. She wanted to get out, but that would mean Tracker would have a better chance at catching her.
There was a tug on her leg and she let out a scream that was cut short as she was pulled under. She opened her eyes to see what grabbed her, she was met with a mask close to her face, tusks gently touching her cheeks. It was Tracker. He nearly scared her to death.
Ellie felt her lungs begin to shorten with air and she frantically tried to get to the surface, trying to gesture to Tracker to release her. He cocked his head, but eventually got the idea, bringing her up to the surface.
Ellie gasped, swimming over to the edge as she coughed up some water that had gotten into her mouth and throat. Tracker let out a soft trill, standing right behind her. She glanced at him, narrowing her eyes.
"That... wasn't... fun. You don't do that... to a person." she growled out, splashing water his way. He held his head up high, and she knew the exact reason. He had won in his eyes, but in her eyes he cheated. Though, it wasn't like there were rules against going underwater to get the other person... so, she couldn't say anything against it.
She let out a soft squeak as his large hands wrapped around her, picking her up before he made his way onto dry land. He sat down, Ellie safely in his lap. He wrapped his arms around her stomach, holding her to him as he looked at the sky. It was a bit darker now, but the sky still looked beautiful. Ellie rested her arms over his, letting out a huff as she laid her head back against his large, buff chest.
"...I wanted to see your face..." she mumbled, seeming a bit disappointed as she nestled in his lap, enjoying his warmth.
"Eventually you will..." he whispered in her ear, a soft purr rumbling through him.
"Wheeeeen?" she whined.
"... Maybe now..." he cooed, gently grabbing her chin to push her head up so she could look at him. She blinked, quickly switching the position she was in in his lap, she was now laying across his lap as she kept her gaze to his face, eyes wide with both excitement and curiosity. He let out a soft trill, cocking his head to the side. "Such a cute pet..." he trilled, gently grabbing her collar, "You seem so eager..."
"I..." She slightly flinched when his hand came near her face, silently cursing herself about that damn twitch. She sighed, then quickly nodded. "I've been curious for a long while..." Ellie looked at his hand as he lightly tugged at the collar.
"Very well... I'll 'throw you a bone', as you Ooman's would say." he shrugged, bringing his hand to his mask as he pressed down on it, a soft hiss coming from it before he pulled it off. Ellie let out a soft gasp, her body feeling like it had been paralyzed. His face was unlike anything she'd ever seen before, and it terrified her. The mandibles, how the bottom set curved in menacingly, and the sharp canines jutting from the top gums, and a small row of razor-sharp teeth along the bottom gums... His face was not what she had expected at all. The colouration of his skin around his face looking to be turquoise in some spots, and a shade of lime green everywhere else. But, the most captivating of all things were his eyes. The outer part was a deep red, and the inner part was a light green mixed with slight red streaks. "...You look surprised."
Ellie snapped out of her trance, shaking her head as she looked away, "...I just... I didn't expect your face to be like that..." she mumbled, fumbling with her hands. "I knew you weren't human-looking... but, I hadn't expected, well, this..." she brought up her hand, wanting to touch him, but stopped, she was too scared to.
Tracker gave a soft purr, taking her hand within his own, "You're not... frightened, are you? I do not wish you to be scared..."
"I'm... kind of scared, I mean... It's new, and I kind of have to take it in..." she mumbled, bringing her gaze to match his. He looked so menacing and that's what got to her, just the look of his face, the way it sent shivers down her spine and froze her entire body, making her unable to move. "... I don't know how to respond, really..."
"Hm..." he shut his eyes, holding her hand close to him, his mandibles twitched slightly. Ellie cringed slightly, the way his mandibles worked kind of reminded her of a spider, it was kind of creepy. "You'll come to enjoy seeing it..." he suddenly spoke, holding his head up high.
"...I guess so... It'll be like learning to love a pug. They're... kinda ugly, but, they do have that weird charm that makes people love them anyway... Not that I'm saying you're ugly or anything I'm just saying that you're... uh... shit I totally fucked myself over with that." Ellie tugged her hand away from Tracker and quickly covered her face. She just could not say anything right now.
Ellie heard a soft trill after moments of silence. Her hands slowly being brought down by Tracker's own. His head was cocked to the side, "... Calm yourself, pet... it's okay..." he cooed, leaning closer to her as he held her hands in his. "I understand what you're getting at... I believe..." he shut his eyes, resting his forehead against hers, his mandibles spreading apart to slowly capture her face. She felt her heart rate quicken, unsure of what to do in the situation.
What was he doing? Was he just holding her, or was there more to this weird thing? She didn't want to move, the tusks that were attached to his mandibles looked very sharp, ready to cut her cheeks if she cared to do anything, and so she just sat there, her body once more frozen.
"So full of fright..." he whispered, his maw opening a bit more as he took in her scent. "... I think... I should find a way to put that fear to rest..."
