Ellie was silent, her scrawny body pressed firmly against the tree, her body still frozen from the larger beings sudden appearance and how he just murdered someone right before her eyes. Berserker kept his gaze on her until he reached down, ripping the spine and skull out of the man's body with ease, holding it up to look at it closely through the lenses of his mask. Ellie swallowed hard, thoughts racing through her head at the speed of light.
"...Y..You saved me..." she mumbled, looking to the ground.
"..." Berserker didn't say a thing, but the way he was looking at her made her feel like he was glaring at her from behind the mask. He was fairly scary compared to Falconer and Tracker, with more colouration and an intimidating mask, a jaw of some sort lining along the bottom, amplifying the eeriness, and not to mention he was taller. He growled lowly, "M-di." that meant no, and she knew it, it was one of the few words Tracker had taught her in his language when he had found the time.
"...Y... Yes, you did... He was... probably going to kill me, or do something much worse, and you saved me from him..." Ellie pressed, not daring to step closer to him, wishing to keep at least some distance from him in fear that he might rip her own spine from her body. Berserker ended up taking a step towards her, she grabbed onto the bark of the tree as hard as her fingers would allow, staring up at the being with scared eyes. She didn't push him too much, did she? She really wasn't prepared to die.
"...Don't... Say... Anything." he grabbed her by the collar around her neck and brought her closer to him, nearly choking her with it. She brought up her hands, wrapping them around what she could of his wrist, "... Tracker... can't... know." he hissed, releasing her. Ellie rubbed her neck, coughing before raising a brow at him. He can't know what? That he saved her? What the hell was he going on about?
Berserker never really liked her, it was astonishing that he didn't decide to turn his blade on her and ram it through her chest just in the same manner he had the other human. What was his purpose? There were questions racing around her head like a swarm of angry bees, yet she couldn't find the courage to ask any of them. She swallowed hard, opening her mouth to say something before Beserker turned away, taking a few steps in the opposite direction.
He stopped, slowly looking back at her, "...Coming? Or... Do have... drag... you?" he trilled, seeming to almost be... joking. Did his kind do jokes? She thought that they were serious at all times, not letting or doing foolish and childish things. Ellie forced her body to move, preferring to not have Berserker touching her, knowing him, he wouldn't make it pleasant for her.
"...What about... the others?" she suddenly asked as she stood behind the taller being. He snorted, letting out a growl, holding up the bloody skull and waving it around to silently tell her his plan. Ellie frowned, tears for some reason springing to her eyes, almost causing her to cry, but she refused to show weakness. She held up her head, looking up at the sky, trying to make the tears dissipate. She didn't even know everyone in that group, but she didn't want them to die, they didn't deserve it. Sure, some were quiet and didn't really seem to happy about her. Then there was the Russian, Nickoli, and she really liked that guy. He was like an older brother to her, even if she barely knew him. "... I don't want you to kill them..." Ellie spoke as she walked behind Berserker, trying to keep up with him, "They're my friends, I-I c-can't let you do t-that." she bit her lower lip, prepared for what was to happen, if anything. Nothing. He just stopped in his tracks, standing still, looking like a statue of pure muscle and strength. She backed away, not wanting to be within grabbing range, she knew she said something wrong.
He slowly turned to look at her, his hands flexing, sharp, bloody claws looking ready to rank across her flesh, exposing her bones and insides. She whimpered, looking down to the ground, a sign of submission. She upset him, and now she was probably going to get it.
"...Poor little... pet..." Berserker suddenly spoke, approaching her. She backed up, feeling around behind her for a tree to lean back against. Eventually, her hands found one and she pressed herself as firm as she could get to it, not daring to look at him. She whined when his bloody hand came up, his thumb running across almost all of her cheek, his thumbclaw nearly touching her eye, smearing blood over the flesh and the bandage, "afraid... caring... weak." he hissed, "... yet... interest... in you..."
Interest? What kind of plant had he been smoking? Though, that could be taken in different ways... She just hoped it wasn't the one her thoughts went to first.
Ellie gave a soft sigh once the warm, gross hand left her features, allowing her to breathe without having to inhale the scent of death into her nose, there was a slight tinge of iron from the blood that was resting on her face, but at least it wasn't that powerful.
She watched as he took a few steps away from her, only following after him once she saw fit, keeping distance. She wanted to go back to the group, but, she would be dangering them if she did that. Berserker wasn't the most friendly alien around, so there would be no doubt he'd take great joy in chasing both her and killing the others. Ellie felt bad, she had to stay away from them in order to keep them safe and alive and not die a brutal death at the hands of the being. She really wanted to stay with them... but, Tracker would flip if she didn't return. He'd also flip if Berserker did anything to harm her.
Silence was shared in the long walk through the dark, jungle-like biome. It was night time, she relied on mostly the moons to help her see. She tripped over a few branches here and there, but stayed on her feet, not wanting to seem like she couldn't handle herself even though all her limbs were begging her to rest. Eventually, she couldn't take it.
"Can... w-we stop for a moment? I need to rest..." she whispered, but was loud enough for him to hear her. Berserker gave a soft growl, looking to her over his shoulder.
"Keep. Moving." he growled, not seeming pleased.
"I'm tired..." she mumbled. He turned to her, causing her to instantly stop in her tracks, everything locking up. This was not the best time for fear to take over.
"..." He was having a staring contest with her, neither of them moving or breaking eye-contact. Then, he just, turned away, walking over to a tree before resting up against it. "...Rest. 3 Ooman minutes." he crossed his arms over his buff chest, looking in her direction as if to watch her, like he didn't
Holy shit, he actually was allowing her to take a break? She decided to not question it and sit down, rubbing her sore legs to get the feeling back into them. She really didn't like to walk, at her job she spent a lot of time sitting down, barely moving around unless she needed to use the restroom or get something to eat. She never fancied walking miles on end to get to a place, her legs would become itchy and they would hurt, almost falling asleep and going numb. Ellie looked at Berserker, feeling her cheeks begin to burn. He was still watching her like a hawk, making her feel like a small piece of meat. Ellie tore her gaze from him, trying to imagine he wasn't standing there, but it was too hard. His eyes were searing holes into her. After a couple of moments, she finally spoke up, "I, uh... feel better."
He grunted, pushing himself off the tree before he began walking once more, the young woman quickly bouncing up to run after him, not wanting to be left behind. Yet again, silence was kept between the two, not a word or sound was uttered, it sort of got to her. She wanted to talk to him, for they never really spoke, even if he was intimidating as all hell, she wanted to see if he, too, had a soft side in him, he hadn't killed her yet, so maybe that was the start of something. And about his interest- what the hell did he mean by it? She needed to know, but how could she ask.
"...Ooman... Tell... emotions... Tracker..." Berserker suddenly spoke, catching Ellie off guard. He really didn't seem too well in his English, but she believed she got the gist of what he meant. he was asking her how she felt towards one of his brothers, Tracker obviously. She bit her lower lip, trying to think of what to say.
"Well... he's a... really nice... alien... guy.. uhh... I don't know..." Ellie felt a bit awkward talking about this, especially to someone she didn't really trust, "He cares a lot about me, but... that might be because... I'm both his pet and probably soon-to-be mate... I guess... I'm feeling something for him..."
Berserker let out a soft trill as they stepped into the camp, he placed the skull down on a nearby rock before he looked around, as if checking for his brothers. Ellie stood on-top of the rock, copying him. She had never taken notice of the large, strange stone totem near the back, a Yautja hanging from it as if he was crucified. His mandibles and looks were far different from how Tracker and his brothers looked. How she never saw him before stumped her greatly.
"...Who's that?" she muttered, pointing at the other alien.
"... None... Business..." he growled at her before he walked away, grabbing the skull to go and clean it. She frowned slightly, wanting to know who the hell that other alien male was. He had to be there for a reason, right?
Ellie was going to sit with the sleeping Hell Hounds and wait for Tracker to return, but she wanted to do a little sneaking around, see what was up if the Yautja was up to talk to her while she waited, if he knew any English at all. She didn't expect it, still a bit surprised that even Berserker talked to her in a language she understood.
And if all else failed, she could try their native tongue, well, what she knew of it.
