Ellie looked up at the darkening sky. It looked like it was going to rain. On this planet it never did, or at least she believed it didn't, it hadn't rained for as long as she'd been there, so what was the use to it then? The clouds looked pretty threatening though, looking ready to rain down all hell if they felt the need to. What was rain like on this planet, though? Was it usual, starts out with a sprinkle, then slowly leads into a hard pour, or did it just start dumping. She'd figure that out later it seemed.

Something also gave her the sense of impending doom, like in the movies. It was always dark and rainy when something bad was going to happen. She felt like Berserker wasn't done with her, she knew something was going to happen, and that feeling alone caused her to tense up. Tracker wouldn't let him hurt her, right? He'd be there to protect her. She just hoped that was the case and that Tracker actually cared about her much more than a silly pet. For Christ sake, he gave her courtship gifts that were still resting in her backpack reminding her every time about what he had done for her, if he didn't feel anything he'd be crazy.

It sounded like a thunder cat roared in the distance as the apparent storm was stalking closer overhead. It nearly scared Ellie half to death because she didn't expect that to happen out of everything else, it'd been so long since she heard thunder, the sound brought back memories from when she was a child and she was at her best friend's house for a sleepover when a storm hit. It was so loud, she couldn't stop freaking out, luckily, her friend knew just what to do to calm her down- stroke her hair and shush her. For some reason, it always calmed her.

She curled up, whimpering slightly, her head still hurt from the larger being's roughness with her earlier. She was so damn glad he wasn't the one who had found her and decided to keep her, God knows what he would of done to her by now, she'd be a total wreck.

It would have been like living with her mother all over again.

She squeaked when the trio came back through the entrance, Tracker and Falconer were carrying a strange looking creature in their hands, one she'd only seen on occasion because they ran so damn fast. She never had the chance to get a good look at one up-close.

Until now.

What a grotesque thing it was actually; long, thin limbs, bugs looking to be coming out of its skin, the grey skin tone, those... fingers, the face... Disgusting, absolutely repulsive. But, in a way, it looked kind of cool, like a mythological animal she couldn't put her finger on. It really reminded her of something... but what was it?

Berserker barked a command to the others, they nodded and dragged the body out of her line of sight. He stood there, watching them before following after them. She let out a sigh, glad he didn't turn to look at her, she didn't know how she'd feel if he did that. She'd had enough of him for one day. Ellie'd be perfectly fine if he just left her alone.

Ellie pursed her lips together, making her way over to see what they were doing to the creature. She peeked around a large fur-like covering that was hanging down from a few sticks that were held together by strange strings. They had already skinned the body, cut off the hands and feet and head, and were now hanging the body up like a display of art. She'd seen her hunting friends do that with deer, it was always kind of gross, but also intriguing.

So those were what the bodies that were always hanging, literally, around camp, then? Strange. She retreated back to her spot to think when Tracker approached her. She looked up at him and smiled, nodding to him.

"I take it you guys went hunting?"

"Sei-i." he nodded back.

He sat down in front of her, a grunt leaving him as he gestured to his shoulders, looking back at her. She remembered this, it'd been a long time since she gave him a back rub, even then she didn't give him a proper one.

She sighed, rolling her eyes playfully before she placed her hands on his bare shoulders, taking a moment to drink in the feeling of his back muscles before she began to massage his back. He let out a low purr, leaning forward.

Ellie continued after a moment, trying her best to not give in to the pain this time, her hands were already beginning to get a little prickle, the pins and needles kind, but it felt like more the aftermath of it- That numb, tickle like feeling.

"So... that other Yautja... the one in the back... what's that all about?" she decided to bring her question back up to him, she was going to get answers one way or another and she wasn't going to take any excuses.

"..." Tracker stopped purring, causing Ellie to get a bit worried. He had said he'd talk about it when he wasn't tired, and he sure as hell wasn't she knew that well enough, and she hoped she didn't strike some sort of nerve.

"...Uhh..." Ellie bit her lower lip, not liking the silence that was being shared between them, she decided to break it, taking a quick breath, "Is it something I don't need to know about or...? Cause I'm really curious... He looks like you guys, only a bit shorter and the mandibles are way different..."

"Think a Blood Feud." he suddenly spoke up, startling Ellie so bad she almost jumped out of her own skin. She shook her head, mulling over what he said.

"A blood feud?"

"Our kinds... different..." he shook his head in a disapproving manner, growling slightly. Ellie wasn't sure if she should remove her hands, and it seemed she didn't need to make up her mind- he placed his fingers over her own, keeping them in place on his shoulders, his sharp, long claws resting like butterflies on the back of her hand.

"...How, exactly?" she asked.

"Complicated." he answered bluntly.

"... Do you guys have different rules you follow? different customs? Or is it just... a weird 'I'm stronger than you, no I'm stronger' kinda thing?" she pushed.

"...Elaborate what you mean..."

"... Err... I guess it's kinda like... You guys are trying to prove who's the better sub-species or something, so..." Ellie wasn't sure how to put it into words, "So you're fighting to prove who is better I don't know how to put it into better words, but you get what I mean- right?"

"..." Tracker looked to be thinking it over, even if he was wearing his mask, she could tell when he was being thoughtful just by the way his body language was; His head only the slightest bit tipped to the side, even though it didn't look like it he started to take shorter breaths, and his hands the way they either tapped on something of his, flexed or balled up into a fist or both. She'd noticed all of these little facts over the time she'd been with him. It was interesting to watch. He nodded after a few moments, confirming her suspicion.

Ellie cocked her head, "Ah... Why is he here though?"

"No concern of yours..." Tracker brushed off her question like it was just dirt that got on his armor. She puffed out a cheek, making a pout-y face.

"Look, if we're going to be together..." she leaned forward, pressing her body against his back as she rested her head on top of his mask, "You really need to start telling me things about you and everything you're going to do... It's not fun leaving me in the dark, you know..." she managed to snake her hands out from under his and wrapped them around him lazily. "I don't want to be clingy... it's just... you're my only protector in this place and I hate not knowing where you go..."

Ellie gave a happy squeak when he took her much smaller hands in his large, gloved ones. He entwined their fingers together so they were holding hands. The next thing she knew, she was being pulled forward, literally flipping and landing in his lap, his hands had released her own and they were now placed on her hips, holding her close to him.

"Don't do that!" she smacked his chest as hard as she could- well, as hard as one could without trying to hurt themselves. He just trilled, holding her close to him, his body heat completely engulfing her, "... Always full of surprises... You really just... need to stop I don't know if I can handle you and your form of surprises..." she smiled dumbly, brushing a few strands of her hair out of her face.

"...By the way..." Tracker muttered, running his hand through her hair, "... Berserker... He wished to... talk with you alone when we got back... Said was important... Not sure what..."

Ellie froze up, staring at Tracker with that deer in the headlights look, her mouth hanging open. She suddenly felt anger boil within her and she lashed out, "I don't want to talk to him! He's a bastard, do you know what he's done to-"

"Ooman." Berserker suddenly interrupted, stepping into view. She didn't dare look at him, her head hurt just thinking about it, she pressed her body as close to the larger being holding her the best she could. "Come... Things to do..."

Shit, shit, shit. This was fucking bad. She didn't know what he wanted and she was certain it was not good. She did not get good vibes off of him, he practically abused her, so it was understandable.

Tracker stood, holding Ellie in his arms. He set her down a moment later, patting her on the head, causing a strike of pain to course through her body from the - still sensitive apparently - area, she tried her best to not show it. "Brother wishes to know you better... made bad first impression..." he explained.

Ellie shook her head, practically clinging on to Tracker now, not wanting to let him go, "Don't make me..." she whined.

"...Ellie, calm... Berserker won't hurt you... I'll make sure of that.." he looked at Berserker, letting out a low growl, flexing his claws. The other gave a simple grunt, turning around and walking to the entrance of the camp, waiting for Ellie to come and join him.

Tracker had to practically pry her off of him, and with some convincing, Ellie - reluctantly - walked over to Berserker, trying to keep a distance from him in case he tried something. The thought of him actually abusing her in front of Tracker though seemed ridiculous. He wouldn't do that. And it appeared he was playing his brother in some way, he didn't even lay a claw on her as they walked out of the Camp and started their little walk. She was concerned, he wasn't someone who seemed like the 'lets get together and have a little talk' kind of alien.

This was going to end badly, she could feel it. Another thunderous roar escaped the dark sky. Oh boy, if Berserker was a villain in a cartoon, cue the evil laughing and lightening strikes. But, this was real life, this wasn't a silly little cartoon or anything of the sort.
