"L…." Mom said
"Lupus." I say "M…."
Rory said "Mumps….N…."
"Narcolepsy….O…." Mom said
"Are we going to have to do this every time we have to decide to cleans out the refrigerator….….."
"Is that what we're doing I thought we were just playing a game." I said
They both looked at me. "Why would we do that?"
"There's precedence." They both nodded. "Otosclerosis. Bony growths grow between the ear, causing the deafness." They looked at her. Then she said "P…."
Mom excitedly said Puppies! And ran off.
"That's not a disease and its my turn."
We went to see Buttercup.
"I'm not sure buttercup is the right dog for us anyway, we should get on the list for one of those reject seeing eye dogs, or a retired Police dog. I'm thinking a dog with that kind of training would more self-sufficient and able to remind us when it was hungry, and needed to go out, and would have less mental problems." I said. I had, had. "Besides a retired police dog would either have the ability to sniff out bombs or drugs so they'd be able to keep us safe."
"do not let these three anywhere near a dog they can barely feed themselves." Luke said
"That's why we were thinking of getting a retired police dog, or a seeing eye dog that didn't quite make the grade, they'd be more than capable of taking care of us." I said with a grin. I had, had a companion dog that had almost made the grade but was too friendly and affectionate to be a companion dog. So After Being on a list for five years I had a German Shepherd named Ringo, until I came here actually. He was one of my dearest friends.
"Mom need I remind you of Skippy." Rory said.
"Who's Skippy?" Luke asked.
"skippy was our hamster." I said
"He doesn't care." Mom said
"what happened to Skippy." Luke asked.
"every time mom stuck her hand in his cage he's bite her…." Rory said
"And Laughed
"Hammster's can't laugh."
"This one laughed….trust me…."
"So she finally got fed up…."
"By getting laughed at by a hamster."
"So she stopped cleaning his cage." I said. "And instead she just stuck some Kleenix in there everyday, and it finally became a cage of Kleenix that just moved a little."
"You didn't."
"It was the quilted kind."
"It smelled nasty."
"I can imagine."
"Oh, no you can't." Mom said
"So, then she goes to the place she bought him, waits until the guy to walk away, and dumps Skippy." I said
"You abandoned your hamster."
"Look I know this was bad, but this was a vicious hamster, like a Damian Hamster, with a little beedy eyes, and a forked tail, and cape with a hood, bye, bye Buttercup, Bye Luke."
"You did the right thing." Rory said
"I want a pet."
"You have me and Quinn."
"Neither one of you will get me my slippers in the morning."
"I might if you had slippers."
"Will you wear a collar."
"No…." Rory said
"Sure." I said with a shrug. It wasn't like Q had never worn one before when she went clubbing.
"it will pink."
"Your sick." Rory said "Both of you."
"Hey watch what will happen to me remember what happened to skippy." Later that Week before, we went to Grandma's house, I showed Mom, the Chilton, Newsletter, so she was prepared for Grandma's assault. It's not as if we don't get a copy, Mom just has better things to do than read it. The Stars Hollow parent's day isn't like that, it's just a day of parent conferences, and its not even that Wednesday some fan fiction with a little sister has them on the same day so I worried, while they were doing that on Wednesday, It was a disaster at the school thing like it was in the show. I comforted mom and Rory by buying Ice cream on the way home from school.
Before I knew it was the episode with the double date I decided not to the interfere in that episode and spent in at JR's house hanging out with her family, next was the Bangles episode which I couldn't interrupt if I wanted to, because JR's Mom, took me and JR to see RENT, the Children's art Museum, the metropolitan museum of art, the Hayden planetarium, and the natural History Museum for JR's Birthday. I couldn't not go it was my best friend's birthday. Mom gave my souvenir money, and I got JR a Vintage Charlie's Angel's lunch box with a TERMOS on eBay using Rory's computer she was pleased. We got in home in time for the rummage sale. I bought a typewriter, a guitar, and a model train.
Next we had the Donna reed Episode, and then Christopher showed up. When Rory hopped on the Bike I looked at mom.
"Why is he here?" I asked. I had the Memories of Q, but I also had the memories of a hurt little girl, who had no good memories of her father.
"I don't know baby girl."
"He likes Rory, better than me."
"That's not true…." Mom hugged me tightly.
"Well, I didn't say it was by much he barely calls and sees her at all, and calls me and sees me even less."
"Your dad is not very good at being a dad, but he loves you both very much." I showed him my room.
"So yeah, this is my room. I draw and I write, I'm going to be a famous artist one day. He smiled. He lifted up her stuffed Pink Stuffed fluffy Giraffe.
"I got you this."
"Gia…."
"Yeah, at the hospital gift shop."
"I still sleep with her sometimes."
"Good I'm glad…."
The next day, I go with Dad and Rory to the Softball game, and the Bookstore the town stalking us is funnier in person. Truth Is I kind of like Christopher, but I can't say that erases 11 years of hurts I feel as Quinn. The Book Store thing still happens. On Friday Night we were all invited to Friday Night Dinner, I knew it would be an Unmitigated disaster. When I arrived, to stop Rory from floundering I introduced myself.
"Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Hayden, It's a Pleasure to meet you. I'm Quinn Gilmore, Lorelei and Christopher's second daughter, this is my older sister, Rory."
The dinner went down hill from there. We ended up in the kitchen, and Grandpa threw Stroab and Francine out, Grandma told us we weren't disappointments and Mom and dad made love on her Balcony when we got home, Mom ended up painting Luke's in the middle of the night and Mom and dad decided they weren't right for each other. I gave dad a painting of me, and Rory for his House. He hugged me.
