Chapter 5 Firelight festival, the third Lorelai, Emily in Wonderland, PS. I Love, and Daisies, and troubadours

It's the firelight festival and Mom got me out of Friday night dinner because I was such a huge part of the festival and Rory's going on a date and she's going to break up with Dean, because she can't say I love you, I did a preemptive strike, I asked Mom what does it mean to say I love you in Rory's presence, a few weeks earlier.

"What do you mean?" Lorelai asked

"Well, like when I'm like 16 or 20 or whatever and I have a boyfriend or a girlfriend or whatever, and they say I love you, do I say I love you back?"

"Or a girlfriend?" Rory asked

"I'm pretty sure I'm Bisexual."

"One thing at a time, do you love this person?" mom asked

"Yes."

"Then yes, you tell them you love them back."

"What if you aren't sure?" I ask

"Then don't tell them what you don't feel, don't feel pressured to say what you don't feel." Mom said "But if you really love them, don't be afraid to tell them you love them. Now about you being Bisexual."

"I like a girl at school."

"JR?"

"Eww she's like my best friend, no, Nat."

"Okay, just because you like doesn't mean anything should happen you're still only 11."

"I know." It was the night of the firelight festival, and I dragged JR, and Nat around everywhere. We got hot chocolate and Hot apple cider, and hot dogs, and pretzels and churros, and we played the games. I ran into the Bannion boys and kicked one of them in the nuts, Frankie Bannion and I have a long-standing feud the Bannion boys go after everyone but Frankie Bannion and I are in the same grade and we've been hard-core feuding since 1st grade. We're never put in the class anymore. For good reason. Frankie's the oldest, and my Nemesis, followed by Johnny, Liam, Connor, and Kyle. Liam actually isn't that bad he's usually just along for the ride, but the rest are evil incarnate. And Frankie is the ring leader. Kirk is usually they're target when it isn't me, Mom says he likes me. I hope that's not true, I'll have to kill him. Rory didn't break up with Dean after all Yay. I didn't get more details then that.

Gran or Trix, Lorelai the first is coming to town next week Grandma is going completely nutty, Mom is reveling in it which I guess makes sense. At dinner, I'm introduced to Trix. Who is happy I plan to go to Yale Art School. Not so happy about Harvard. The next night I go with Mom and have dinner with Gran and Grandma and Grandpa. I tell her a little bit about my art, How I got the art museums in Hartford, Boston and New York every chance I get and spend hours there, and how I've already sold some work not much. Mostly murals I've painted around town, and I've been hired to the post cards in stars hollow. That Grandma and Grandpa paid for me to get art classes at the museum on Saturdays in Hartford, they had the expected fight about me and Rory only I convinced Mom to wake up Rory and tell her, of course the fight at the tea still happened and we lost out on the money.

Emily in Wonderland still happened and I went along for the ride. I filled the fridge before hand. She knows I'm an artist. We showed her some of murals and the post-cards I did she bought some post-cards. We went to Kim's Antique's Rory found that dresser thing, and I found a small side table. We walked the town and Rory still showed her the potting shed, Grandma surprised us with our own rooms, mine was blue, and had fresh Irises and freesias, and had pictures of the rat pack, had some art on the walls, and It had a sketch pad and pencils for me. It was very well done. PS. I Love…. Happened sort of, it was me who had run away, but it was an emergency, one of the teachers, My Gym teacher had tried to touch me, I kicked him and went to Emily, arriving by cab, in my gym clothes just as Richard got home for work.

"Richard pay the cab…."

"who took a cab…."

"Quinn did….she looks like she's been in a fight."

"Now darling, come sit down and you tell grandma all about it." We sat down.

"I had to get out of there it wasn't safe, Mr. Donnelly the gym teacher tried to touch me, I hurt him I kicked him in a very sensitive place but it wasn't safe."

"Of course not."

"Can We call Mom, She'll be worried?"

Grandpa came in. "He tacked on an Extra five dollars, just for waiting. Emily?"

I was crying. "Richard call our Lawyer, her gym teacher tried to molest her, I'm calling Lorelai we need to take action."

A storm brewed on his face. He calmed down and looked at me. "Quinn what's his name?"

"M-Mister D-donnelly."

"What's his first name?"

"Kevin."

"Thank you."

Emily gets her phone and calls Lorelai. "Lorelai you need to come my house, Quinn is here, it's an Emergency. She's very upset, yes."

In the end Mr. Donnelly was arrested and fired and Mom said I had to go therapy. Which she didn't tell Grandma and Grandpa about. My new Therapist. Dr. Langdon was played by Jasmine Guy, She specializes in kids. I always think she's going to tell me I'm nuts.

In the last week, Mom and Max get together, Luke is fixing things around the house, there's Troubadours around the town, Rory is first in her class or something, max Proposes, the town has a meeting, and Taylor doesn't like the troubadours, but after a bit of an argument names the one with the brown short hair and glasses as the town troubadour, Grandma and Grandpa tell us about Rory, Mom decides to Marry Max and we all jump up and down at Grandma's and lie about why.
