Darkness' Memory

Under the Candy Kingdom, Fionna threw the three defeated members of the Men of All Things to the dungeon and locked them up. Simon and Ice Queen froze their entire body up to their noses. The human girl laughed, feeling victorious. "How does it feel to be locked up again?"

Storm Hiker tries to speak but his mouth was frozen shut.

"Oops! I forgot. You can't talk. Sorry about that!" Fionna taunts them.

But then the guys were interrupted by a sudden and loud crash coming from the surface. Simon and Ice Queen ran first to check it out.

"Well, that was fun." Marshall commented, dusting off the sweet dirt of the Candy Kingdom. His counterpart's father approves and even gave him a high-five. Marshall checks the skies and finds no sign of the sun. Just dark storm clouds. "Oh, thanks for the cover, Cake. You can turn back to normal now." He patted the hat-shaped cat before she transformed back to original form. She answered, "You're welcome."

Surprised to see them again, Fionna jumps to Gumball and Marshall giving both a big embrace. "You're alive! Oh, I thought you were gone." Cake the cat moves in and gave her sister a hug too. "I missed you too, buddy!" Fionna said, expressing how proud she get to see them alive and well.

"We are just fine." Gumball replied.

FP and Flame Prince watched as the others exchange hugs. The two fire elementals looked at each other, realizing that they can't touch anyone without burning them. They just moped. "So, what happened here, Miss Finn?" Flame Princess asked.

Immediately, the human girl answered her. "We defeated three of them and locked them up in the dungeon."

"What? Really?" FP was surprised. Knowing how powerful those creatures are, she cannot believe that a normal human girl can defeat three of them. She started to feel like Fionna is Finn. "You are just like him."

"Who?" Fionna did not get what she meant.

But before she could answer, three creatures were spotted coming towards the kingdom. The Banana Guards sound their horns to warn everyone. "Reinforcements? That's quick." Gumball said. "We just got here."

"Alright! I want some more action!" Marshall Lee said. But they did not expect this. Those three creatures surprisingly drops down to the Candy Kingdom at ease. The Gumball Guardians did not react because they recognize one of the three. It was Princess Bubblegum of Eee and she's accompanied with Marceline and Hunson of Eee. The princess looked at Fionna, Cake, Gumball, Marshall, Flame Prince, Ice Queen, Ice King, Hunson Abadeer of Ooo and Flame Princess. "Are these your friends?" She asked the vampire queen.

"Marceline?" Her actual father asked.

Marceline looked at him and then the other one from Eee. "Whoa. I have two dads now. It's awkward."

"And a brother!" Marshall added with an innocent smile.

Bonny breaks the conversation and gets down to business. "Guys! I need you all to prepare for battle. I have a plan that will fix this problem once and for all."

"You already have a plan against those monsters?" Gumball said. "How did you even know they have escaped?"

The princess has no time to explain it all to her male counterpart but she can tell everyone just a few details. "Alright. Everyone, listen carefully."

The realm of Nightosphere changed when three beings from beyond battled. Fire Runner moves fast around his mother, creating a large distraction while his brother World Master launches a wave of molten magma. They are trying to restrain her as much as they can. Celestine used her powers to change the lava into smoke. Fire Runner found an opening when the lava turns to smoke, it created a large cloud that blocks her sight. He simply attacks her with a kick.

However, Celestine managed to block his attack like she knows their strategy. "Is that all you can do?"

"Yep." Fire Runner answered to her directly. "I'm really good in distracting enemies."

Unnoticed, World Master Heats up the ground beneath Celestine's feet caused her to sink in. After that, Fire Runner swings his other leg to make another kick to her face. With his fast kick, Celestine dodges it by lowering her head and then grabbed her son's leg. She pulls him down to the ground. Then she pulled him back and grasped his neck tight. "Brother!" World Master ran to save him but his mother's power somehow changed the environment. The ground where he's stepping turned into quicksand and slowly he sinks.

"Oh, my boy. Why did you betray your mother?" She wanted to know the reason.

"You want to know why?" Fire Runner hold on for his life as his almighty mother held him by the neck. "It's because you are the worst mom ever."

"Really? Why did you say that? I made your life beautiful."

"Yes. You did made our lives beautiful, peaceful and fulfilling. But then I learned your darkest secret."

"And that will be what?"

"It's the cube. Since the day you found that cursed gem, you were obsessed with it that you have to change things the way you wanted them to be. And then I discovered that all of us, my brothers, are just creations that you made. We started to wonder about our existence in this world. What is life for us now that we know we are created to be guard dogs of your precious unrealistic world?"

"Is that the reason you stole my precious gem?"

Fire Runner did not react or answer anymore. He just stared at her, waiting for her next move. Then his brother break himself free from the quicksand with his blast of air. Then he throws lightning bolts to their mother.

Unbelievably, she turned his attack into glittering dusts. Her reality manipulation is overpowered and can never be defeated. The only thing they need now is to attack her inside. That means they need to enter her mind and the only one who can do that is Fear Caster.

"Oh. Is that all you can do?" Celestine asked her son World Master. "Using all the elements against me?"

"I have a lot of things under my sleeves." He said.

Celestine felt excited to see her son's power. "Let's see what you can do! But first, let's go somewhere wide and open." She transport themselves to the Land of Ooo, on the middle of a grassland. A perfect place to start a big battle.

World Master spins around, creating powerful wind currents and then he shoots large fire to the ground. He turns and saw a lake nearby, he reached out his hand and then pulled it back like he grabbed the water. The lake moved towards him and revolves around his body.

Celestine watched her son preparing himself by gathering the four elements around him. But there is something different and interesting. The elements started to form itself into creatures. After a few seconds, the four elements are ready. The girl from beyond grinned after seeing her son what he can do. "So, you can create Elementals."

"Oh, yes." He replied with a smile on his face.

She was amazed by her son's new skills. "You made a Salamander the Fire Elemental, an Angel the Air Elemental, a Siren the Water Elemental and a Dryad the Earth Elemental. Interesting. But why not a Gnome?"

"Because Dryads can control the life underneath us!" World Master commands his Dryad to turn the plain grassland into a huge forest. When the forest was formed, the Angel blasted a powerful blast of air to Fire Runner so that he can be moved away from Celestine. Then, the Salamander swings its flaming tail to Celestine. The elemental has able to hit her and pushed her to the largest tree. Knowing it does not cause any damage, World Master turns to his brother. "Fire Runner, find the others especially Fear Caster. I'll stall her."

"Good luck." Fire Runner disappeared like a flash, leaving trails of ashes and burned ground.

"Alright! Are there any questions?" Bonny just finished a ten minute explanation of her story and plan and hoped she get a response. "Guys?"

Then Fionna raised her hand. "I have one."

"What is it?"

"So my boy counterpart and his friends are looking for the last two cubes while you guys defeat or stall these Men of All Things, am I right?"

"Actually, we must stall them before Finn get back with the cubes."

"If so..." Flame Princess speaks. "What do we do next? Trap them inside the cube?"

"No. We are giving it to the Girl from Beyond. When she absorbs those cubes, she will be powerful enough to defeat her sons and send them back to their home realm. That's our plan."

Simon the Ice King has a question, too. "So, if this trouble is over, where will they live?" He points at Ice Queen and the rest of the counterparts. Flame Princess answered. "They can't go back to their world. It's completely gone."

"We will discuss this later, Ice King. Glob, even in this world, you are still a fool." Bonny frowned at the old man. Simon has never seen the princess got really mad and disappointed. He behaved after he heard her. But suddenly, a banana guard interrupts them. "We have a problem!" Everyone followed him to the upper wall of the kingdom. He points at the distant and saw a large forest, growing rapidly. Bonny takes out a binoculars and saw someone shooting fireballs inside those dark trees. "That must be Celestine. She's fighting two of them right now."

"Are we going to help her?" Marceline asked.

"No. Not yet." Bonny said. "We need to gather more people." The pink princess of Uuu gave them each specific instructions. But while doing that, Cake the Cat felt something appeared behind them. She called everyone's attention. "Um, guys. My danger sense is tingling."

Fionna faced to her friend. "What is it, Cake?"

"Someone is behind us." She points at the back. Everyone turns and saw a tall dark figure standing still and silent.

They recognized the creature in an instant. It's the faceless Fear Caster.

"They found us!" Marceline panicked. The Sound Slayer sword turns on; Fionna is ready. The Bass Axes rose up; the Vampire King and Queen are ready. Two Flame Swords lights up; the two last Fire Elementals are ready as well. The tall figure slowly shows his dark tendrils behind his back, spreading them wide. Then he placed his palm on his pale faceless face and gently pulls it out like a mask. They heard the sound of sticky goo when the entity removes it. Knowing what he is trying to do, Bonny warned them. "Don't look at him! Turn away!"

Before the creature reveals his face, everyone closed their eyes. Some of them turned away and letting the creature catch them off guard. He attacks them all quickly, tackles them down with his dark tendrils. "What do we do now?" Fionna asked Bonny but keeps her eyes closed.

Most of them begins to panic.

The pink princess yelled at them. "Everyone! Stay calm! The only people who can face him are the ones with demon eyes. Marceline, Marshall and the two Hunsons opened their eyes. The four looked at each other and nod. All of them transformed into their demon forms, breaking themselves free from the dark tendrils of the creature. After that they attacked the Fear Caster in the most savage way.

Everyone were free from the clutches of the Fear Caster and they let the vampires and demons handle the monster while they go ahead to their plan. "Alright. That was close." Bonny commented.

The two demon fathers subdues the Fear Caster and let their children attack the creature. Marshall swings his axe to cut the creature. He made a perfect slice however the creature quickly heals itself. Then Marceline comes up from behind. "Let's see if you have red inside you!" She takes a bite.

But when she bites the creature's neck, there was no blood inside. No red fluids to suck out from Fear Caster. But Marceline felt something new and bizarre. She can feel something flowing in to the tip of her fangs.

Something dark and cursed. Then the vampire girl was struck by multiple visions. Random images flashes before her.

A cold forest.

A frozen lake.

A wonderful castle.

A glorious kingdom.

A secret door to a vault.

A world crumbling into darkness.

They are the memories of the Fear Caster, maybe everything that happened to him. Her senses slowly fades away from reality as her fangs sinks in to the creature's skin. When all went out, she fell down unconscious. However, she woke up in an instant. She finds herself in a cold dark forest, the exact same forest that she saw from the visions. "Where am I?" Marceline looked around the place and then to her hands. Both of them became transparent and so is her entire body. "What in the world is going on? Am I dead? Am I ghost?"

But then in the dark woods, Marceline heard a girl's voice behind her.

"Jack, I'm scared."

"I'm not sure about this." PB just be honest to the Marceline of Eee. Sending an army of undead to her world feels like a really bad idea. "I'm very grateful that you are going to help us. But your army is... well... how can I say this? Not fit to be in our world?"

Marcy did not like the princess' answer. Knowing that the princess will never change her mind, she has no choice but to do what's best to protect her friends. "If you don't want me to help you, then I'm going to do something that you won't like. But this is for your own good." The vampire swoops towards the princess and snatches the cube from her. "Marceline! What are you doing?"

"Forgive me, Bonnibel. It's for your own good."
