A Girl's Past

In the Candy Kingdom's dungeon, Dome Maker, Cosmic Speaker and Storm Hiker felt their brother's presence above, being beaten by four dark creatures of the night as well as their mother's sudden presence. Storm Hiker moves his toes a little, creating a small friction. There, a white smoke slowly appears. That smoke turned into a small cloud that produces heat, melting the ice. Dome Maker can see his brother about to finish. "Hurry up. We must leave this dungeon and face mother. She will wipe this place out from existence if we don't do anything."

"I know, brother. I know. I still hope she has not found the other pieces of the cube."

Elsewhere, Marceline heard a girl's voice in the dark woods behind her. "Jack, I'm scared." She turns around and saw the little girl standing still on thin ice of the frozen lake. In front of her is an older boy, trying to calm her down to avoid any panic. He tries to find a way to get her to safety from the fragile ice. "I know. I know. You're going to be alright. You're not going to fall in." The boy said.

He tries his best to calm the girl down so that he could save her. "We're going to have a little fun instead."

"No, we're not!" The girl cried, scared of the cracks beneath her feet. With her quick reaction, Marceline flew to save the little girl. But her efforts did not work when she passed through the girl like a ghost. "No. What is happening? Why can't I grab her?" Then she remembered she took a bite at Fear Caster's neck. She must have in the creature's memories, which are why she can't do anything but watch.

Then Marceline turned back to the two and saw the boy Jack using a staff to grab the little girl to safety. The girl was saved but the boy did not. The thin ice cracked open and dragged him down under the frozen lake. Marceline cannot look. It was very hard to watch.

After that tragic incident, the place changes and so is the weather.

It was night and the dark clouds sprinkled snowflakes to the woods. Marceline saw the girl all grown up and went to the cold lake bringing flowers. The girl sat down beside the lake and talks about what happened to her today. It is like she's visiting someone. Marceline noticed that it's the same lake where the boy Jack fell and drown. This girl must be visiting his grave, Marceline wondered.

"I missed you, brother. I really wish you were here." The girl said as she placed the flowers near the lake.

And then with an unexpected surprise, something flashes from the night sky. The bright light shines like a small sun and then disappeared in just a second. The light dropped something towards the lake and it caught the girl's attention. The object started to glow bright yellow just like a golden star under the dark and cold water.

Marceline recognized the girl's face somewhere. As the vampire tries to recall, the girl takes the object. Marceline saw on the girl's palm was a bright yellow crystal cube.

"No way." The vampire was surprised that she did not recognize the girl in the first place."Celestine."

The power of the cube surges through the girl's veins, boosting her mind and body. In a blink, she transforms into the cosmic being that Marceline knew. Her hair turned into a galaxy of stars. Her skin brightens up like she became a living light. After the transformation, the girl tests her new ability and able to create what mortals can't do: create life from nothing. Marceline saw the young Celestine creates the first creature and it was later named as Fear Caster. After the birth of the monster, the place shifts into another place.

Now the vampire landed on a huge castle and saw many royal people came to attend a grand ball. The vampire looks around the place and saw the owner of the glorious castle, the queen who is just sitting on her enormous golden throne. "Celestine." She and a knight said at the same time.

Nine knights approached the queen of gold and kneel before her. "Mother, we have bad news. Enemy forces are closing in to our shores. They already know, mother. They already know about your cube."

Now that is what Celestine worries the most. If those people take her cube, she will be powerless and send her back to the wilds, back to that depressing place. "Destroy them, my sons. Don't let them set foot on our shores!"

"We will not fail, mother." The knight leaves, followed by his brothers as they went straight to the front line to face an army of strong and brave men from the distant lands. Their enemies know what Celestine is capable of. If that cube is not used properly, it can cause the end of their world.

Marceline watched as the nine knights slaughters an entire fleet. Ten thousand ships against nine men. Their power is so great that no mortal can withstand it. Soon, these knights will become the Multiverse's Monsters called the Men of All Things. The glorious kingdom remained strong and impenetrable. No army or kingdom can destroy this golden wonder.

But then the vision takes Marceline to a secret vault. It's one of the nine knights. He sneaked in to the vault to take something from their mother. It's the cube. The nine took the cube and used it to take them somewhere where their mother can't find them. The reason behind this is that Celestine doesn't give up her power to her children. She doesn't share the land to anyone even to her children.

That's the reason these monsters arrived in these five lands and tried to conquer them. Thanks to the Cosmic Gods, they were defeated and the cube was split into separate pieces so that the nine creatures from beyond will never find it at all.

Now the visions took her to the last stop. A world crumbled into darkness. Marceline knows it as the Land of Iii.

"MARCELINE!" The voice of the vampire boy Marshall was heard, enough to wake her up from the dark visions. "Are you okay? You passed out when you took a bite on that creature. What happened to you?"

"I... I..." Then Marceline remembered about Marceline and the cube. "Oh no. I need to speak to everyone. Especially Bonny. Everyone needs to know about this."

"What are you doing?" PB watching the vampire wielding the cube.

"I'm going to seal you inside this cube until this trouble is over. I'll save this realm from those monsters." The vampire plans to imprison her just like PB's male counterpart did the last time. "Please. You have to understand." But it was too late. The cube projects a powerful yellow ray to PB in a speed of light. Instantly before it fires, the princess dodges and drops down to cover from the crazy vampire. She has no idea what to do next. The best move to do now is to call for help. So she screamed loud like all damsels in distress do. "HELP!"

Her voice was heard outside. Finn pulls out his sword and ran back to the castle. "PB!" Jake and Pen followed him as well to see if they can do anything to help. The three heroes bust inside the room to save the princess. "PB! Is everything okay?"

The princess yelled, "She has the cube! Stop her!"

Marcy saw the three and turns to them. "Go away! This is for your own safety!" The vampire blasted them with the cube's yellow beam, powerful enough to destroy a tank. Jake grabs the two boys and leaps away from the blast. The shape-shifting dog rolls to the other side and then he threw both boys towards the vampire. "Take her down!"

Finn manages to grab the cube from the vampire while Pen crashed at her. "Ouch! Sorry, Pen." Jake apologizes, squinted after seeing the crash.

The crazy vampire of Eee shrieks in anger grabs the boy Pen and threw him out of the window. "PEN!" Finn yelled. He cannot believe a version of Marceline can be so cruel and crazy. "How could you? This is not you Marceline!""

"Enough! I'm tired of explaining it to you. I'm doing this to save your lives!" The vampire girl changes herself into the most terrifying form she ever transformed. "I'm going to keep you all to an isolate and safe realm!" Jake expands his body to match the size of Marcy's monster form. He simply pushed her outside to fight her away from his friends. Finn hurriedly ran to the princess and gave her the cube. "So what are we going to do?"

"We must leave this place."

"But how about Jake and Pen?" Finn asked.

Princess Bubblegum has no idea what to do. She needs a distraction to hold off Marcy and her undead army but that means there's someone among them must stay behind. Finn told her. "We can't just leave Jake here!"

"Don't worry about it. I can do it." Pen appeared from the large hole of the room, levitating with his flames. "I'm going to be the distraction. You three must go."

"But..." Finn was worried. Pen is still young to fight that kind of monster. "If you will stay here, you know that we can't get you back. You'll be trapped here."

"I know that. Just do something for me, Finn."

"What is it?"

The flaming boy looked at the human very close. "Take care of Aunt Bonny and my mother for me."

"Who's your mother? I don't recall you ever mentioned about her."

Pen smiled at him and just said. "Just go and save the day... dad."

That word struck Finn to his heart as he realized who that Pen boy is. His eyes opened wide as he heard the words from the flaming boy. Before he could show his reaction, Pen flew up towards the monster Marcy like a rocket. He delivers a powerful burning blow to the crazy vampire, makes her trip over and crushes her undead army.

"Wow! That was awesome, dude!" Jake shows a thumbs-up to Pen.

"You must go now. Go with Finn and PB. I'll hold her off!" Pen transforms himself into a molten titan to face the colossal Marceline of Eee. Without any hesitation, the dog shrinks back and leaps back to Finn.

PB used the cube to open up a portal back to Ooo. "Let's go!" She steps in first and then Jake. But Finn looks back and saw the boy doing his best to fend off the monster. The human can't accept to leave him behind but he knows what's more important. So he made a promise. "I'll find a way to get you back." He steps inside the portal, leaving the Land of Eee.

"NOOOOO!" Marcy saw the three leaving her realm. Before the portal disappears, she stretches out her dark tentacles and hold on to Finn's right arm. "I won't let you escape!"

"Let me go!" Finn struggles. He tries to call Jake and PB but they are far away now. Marcy slowly pulls him back to her realm. The human tries everything to release himself from the clutches of the crazy vampire girl. He then noticed that the portal is about to close. So there is still little hope for Finn to escape. What he must do now is to tug back, resisting her pull.

However, his right arm got out from the mouth of the portal. The dimensional doorway slowly shrinks. Finn can feel the energy touching his arm. He knows what is about to happen. Finn can't help it but to close his eyes and wait. The portal closed shut but cuts of Finn's arm. The pain was excruciating. His bones, nerves and flesh felt the sudden and intense burning sensation. After a minute of losing his arm and screaming in pain, he fainted and floats away to the unknown.

Back to Ooo, PB and Jake both made it back. Unfortunately, Finn did not make it. "Where is Finn?" Jake asked the princess after he saw the portal disappeared. PB fears what could happen to Finn. "Oh, no."

"What is it, princess? What happened to Finn?"

"He's... he is now lost between realities, Jake. Not a good place to be."

"Then how can we get him back?"

"It will take centuries to get him back. But don't worry. I'm sure he will land to another alternate reality where there is a 'Me' who can help him get back here. I just hope that he's not trapped at Eee. That place is the worst."

Jake looks up, watching the sky and imagine the space beyond. "Oh. I hope you're okay out there, buddy."
