"It's been three hours! Don't you think you could at least tell us something!?" yelled Yang at one of the nurses. The nurse apologized and walked away. With defeat, Yang sat down in one of the chairs outside Ruby's operating room and buried her head in her hands. Blake sat down right beside her, rubbing circles on Yang's back and trying to comfort her.
"I'm sorry…I'm so sorry…" Yang manage to muffle as she wiped her eyes and looked at Weiss, who sat across from them. Yang got up and kneeled down to Weiss, trying to make eye contact with the young heiress. She saw that Weiss's eyes were red, but somehow she held in the tears.
"It's all my fault, Yang. I'm a terrible partner. I should of made sure that monster was dead…" and before Weiss could continue, Yang pulled Weiss into a tight hug, and Weiss finally let the tears fall.
Another hour past, and Team RWBY was still outside Ruby's operating room. Blake had finally got Yang to get some sleep, letting the young girl sleep on her lap.
"You should rest too." Stated Blake, looking at Weiss, her eyes still puffed up and red from crying, "It's not your fault, Weiss."
"Blake…I love her, I can't lose her." Replied Weiss.
Blake nodded, "We know Weiss." Then they heard Ruby's operating room's doors open. Yang quickly jumped up, and walked quickly to the doctor still wearing his operating gear. Weiss and Blake followed her as such.
"Doc?" Yang asked anxiously.
"She lost a lot of blood…" he started. Yang could feel the tears forming again. Blake grasped her hand from behind, and Weiss kept her head down.
"But miracously she's a fighter. We'll be sending her to recovery soon. You all will be able to see her." Finished the doctor. Team RWBY felt a prang of joy enter into their bodies and group hugged.
"Yeah! That's the Ruby we all know, a fighter!" said Yang proudly.
Team RWBY made their way to Ruby's recovery room. They all looked very exhausted, but seeing their leader alive and well gave them the drive to keep going. Yang was first to enter the room followed by Blake, then Weiss.
"Ruby!" cried Yang as she made her way towards her sister. Ruby was sitting up on her bed. Weiss cringed at the sight of Ruby's bandages that covered most of her chest.
"Whoa there big sis, refrain from the hugging please, I don't wanna die again." Ruby lightly joked. Yang stopped mid-way from bear hugging her sister. She made a little chuckle also.
"How you feeling?" asked Blake, making her beside Yang.
"Like I just got stabbed." Laughed Ruby, but quickly stopping and clutching her abdomen slightly.
"Ruby, don't joke around! You almost died!" Weiss said sternly. Ruby tried to look at Weiss, but Weiss wouldn't meet her gaze.
"Weiss I'm…" Ruby didn't know what to say. She looked at her sheets. Ruby then felt a pair of cold hands clutch her face, and her silver eyes met with light blue ones. Weiss closed the gap between their lips. The kiss felt like they haven't seen each other in centuries.
"I almost lost you…" said Weiss, with tears forming in her eyes. Ruby gave her signature smile, and wiped the tears away with her hand.
"But you didn't." replied Ruby, going in again to kiss Weiss once more. Their little moment was stopped from a throat clearing behind them. Ruby and Weiss parted and looked behind them. Yang had a large smirk on her face, while Blake was blushing, trying to hide her smile.
"So when were you gonna tell us little sis?" questioned Yang. Weiss backed away from Ruby, her face turning red as Crescent Rose. Ruby smirked back at Yang.
"When were you gonna tell us Yang?" fired back Ruby. Yang's face became red.
"What on earth are you-" argued Yang but was interrupted.
"Oh please Yang. You two aren't slick at all! Sneaking into each other's sleeping bags/beds in the middle of the night. I'm not blind, Yang." Said Ruby. Yang was speechless, trying to make up an excuse, but none came out.
"Well I guess.." Yang started.
"Yang I swear to god and all of Vale." Blake said sternly.
"The cat's out of the bag." Yang laughed hard, unfortunately the rest of Team RWBY groaned.
How's that? Two chapters in one day! I'm fairly impressed with myself haha! I think this will be all for a while. I uploaded two chapters because I wanted to get a basis of the story down. Next chapter I will start developing a conflict and what not. Please stick with me on this one because I will try to make it awesome (to the best of my abilities). Until till then, chiao!
