The Faceless' Turn

Before these crazy things happened in the Land of Ooo, long time ago in a world outside the Multiverse, an object fell from the sky, burning with strange yellow light. It landed on a dark snow forest. As it was lying there glowing, a darkness approached the object. Its cold hands picked it up.

What do we have here? The darkness inspected the cubic object. It saw a description engraved in the cube. The Darkness recognized the writing. It's a dead language that only few cosmic beings used.

Dilek.

The darkness read it and knew the meaning of the word. Its glowing light signifies Reality. As the living darkness recall, a powerful golden light gave birth to the universe. This is a wishing stone. One of the six. Interesting. The darkness was planning to use it however, he cannot. The artifact would not allow an entity or any cosmic deities to use its power. Only mortals can use it. What am I going to do with this?

Now, he wondered. How did it get here? Then he heard a girl crying nearby. The darkness went to see the mortal girl. When the darkness found her, kneeling next to a frozen lake sobbing, he disguised himself into an old man in a dark cloak and approached the young girl. What's the matter, little girl?

The girl saw the old man and answered him. "I lost my brother. He drowned in this lake. It's... it's all my fault!"

He watched the girl crying but then he noticed the cube blinking. What if I told you that you can bring him back?

"Is that possible? You can bring him back?"

Not me. You. He gave her the cube. Just make a wish.

The mortal girl touched the cube and its almighty power flows through her veins. It was warm and satisfying. Her mind changed from 'need' to 'want'. Her plan to bring her brother back was erased by her burning desire of other things like wealth and power. The cube started to control her and the darkness controls the cube. "What am I going to wish first?" She asked the old man.

Create eight powerful entities that will help you give whatever you want.

"Why not I just wish that everything will be mine?"

The darkness has some plans. Listen to me and you will achieve everything.

And now, the living darkness has joined the Men of All Things and he's waiting for the right moment. While he waits, he listened to his captors' argument.

"Wait. Let me get this straight." Prince Gumball tries to process everything he heard from the old Ice King. "You made a fan fiction about us?"

"Yes. It's pretty good." The old man shows a nasty and creepy smile. But when he saw their negative reactions, he nodded and regretting for telling them.

Princess Bubblegum was frustrated at the Ice King. Now she knows what he did when he took the cube in the first place. "You wished for your fan fiction characters to be real."

Ice King clarifies, "Actually, my wish is to bring my characters here in our world."

"Then it's just a coincidence that we entered your realm after we defeated the Lich Queen." Marshall Lee said.

"But enough of that!" Fionna said. "We should think about the things outside right now! Those monsters and their mother are all there outside. We should do something about that. We must stop blaming this old man for making a huge mistake."

"Thank you." Ice King smiled.

The blond adventurer whispered, "Oh, shut it. We'll discuss this later. I just want everyone to focus at the enemy first."

"Right. Sorry." Simon nodded.

Celestine enjoyed beating up her children even though she didn't land a single finger on them. She dodges, made them slip and lose balance. She controls the gravity, the time and space. She even controls matter and energy. Her power was limitless. She levitates above the arena, looking down at her three sons. Storm Hiker, Cosmic Speaker and Dome Maker are getting tired. They know they can't defeat her. They know she's omnipotent. Their only hope now is Fear Caster.

"Brother, where are you?" Storm Hiker said as he crawls away from the battlefield.

The girl from beyond saw her three children, tired and beaten. "Are you done? Are you all ready to surrender?"

Dome Maker responded with a grin on his face. "No. Never."

Celestine knows the meaning of that grin. There is something coming. Coming behind her.

"I know how you love the color red, mother!" Her son, the most powerful one she created, brought a planet towards her. "This is the only thing can find." World Master drops the planet Mars to his own mother. Immediately, with little strength left, Dome Maker creates a protection shield around the Colosseum and pushes his mother outside the shield.

"Game over." Storm Hiker said as he watched Celestine got crushed by the big red planet. Surprisingly, three of his brothers fell from the crumbling red planet back to Earth. Light Eater, Realm Bender and Shadow Walker fell on top of the energy dome. Those three were recognized by the energy shield and so it opens up for them to get in. But it made a mistake, the large pieces of the red planet falls inside.

"What were you thinking, brother?" Dome Maker yelled at World Master. "You could have destroyed our new home!"

"Well, I'm sorry. I had no choice. But not to worry. I used a portion of the planet to crush mother." World Master simply pushed one-third of the planet away from Earth. "See? Done."

"Are you sure?" Light Eater and the two who's with him at Mars got out from the red ruins. "Are you sure that a planet can take down our mother?"

"She may have the power to manipulate reality but you guys forgot that she's still mortal."

"Um, guys... can a mortal rebuild itself up?" Realm Bender points at the yellow light gathering in mid-air. That light transformed into a woman. "It looks like mom made herself immortal, I think?"

The girl from beyond had no time to comment after that last attack of her son. She screamed in rage for the first time. Her children trembled in fear as they felt her almighty anger so big and wide that it shook the fabric of reality. "I've had enough!" She then projected a bright golden beam out from her mouth, shot directly to her children.

With quick reaction and timing, Realm Bender opened up a portal in front of the beam, transporting it to somewhere away from them.

Somewhere far away from the Candy Kingdom, the Fire Runner runs as fast as he can away from his horrifying and almighty mother. He can never forgive himself for ditching his brothers but the thing he regrets was taking that diamond from her. But it's too late now. There is nothing he can.

"Whoa!" A woman in robe walked in front of the running speedster.

Fire Runner instantly stops but the ground was slippery. He slides and crashed to the woman. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"

"Get off me! You're burning me!" She pushed him away and puts the fire out. "Now my robe is ruined."

"I'm sorry! I'm just running away.. I mean, I'm just looking for my allies." He lied to her.

The woman removes the robe and fixed her glasses. "Who are you?"

"It doesn't matter. We will be dead anyway."

"What do you mean?" She doesn't know what's going on. That stranger has no clue what's happening in her world. "Is there something wrong?"

"How did you not know? There's a psycho out there who has the power to control everything!"

"Reality Manipulation? You are telling me that you guys can't beat a person who controls reality?" The woman has something in mind. Fire Runner can sense it.

"Wait. You have any idea how to stop her?"

"Cast an illusion. Trap her. It's very easy." She said it like solving a simple math question. "Do you have anyone who can do that?"

Fire Runner remembered someone with that kind of ability. He completely forgot about his brother. "Fear Caster!"

"Who?"

"My brother! He can create illusions!" He has a plan how to defeat his mother. No more running away. He has found an objective. Fine his brother. "Thank you for the advice, Miss."

"Betty." She said her name.

"I'm Fire Runner. Thank you again." The creature ran back to battle to tell his brothers about his plan.

"You're welcome." She then commented. "What a strange world. First, I encountered a floating purple glob who claims to be a princess. Now a blazing creature that runs fast. Strange but fascinating world."

Then, something came out from the woods approaching the woman. "Help! I need help!" It was Lemongrab! He has escaped the ruins of the Nightosphere for some reason. "Help me!"

"Um... hello? How are you doing, lemon man?"

"The Nightosphere!"

"The what?"

"It's collapsing! It's collapsing!"

"Please. Explain it straight!"

But before Lemongrab say anything, a portal opened and let out a powerful beam and obliterate him. Betty fell down, unhurt. However, she felt the strong energy. "Whoa."

"Is it done?" Marshall Lee cannot stand idle, waiting for the princess to finish her work. "Can you speed it up?" Bonny of Eee exclaimed, "It will take a while. Don't worry, it won't take a day."

"I'm getting tired of this!" Ice Queen of Aaa screamed. She charged towards Bonny, going to do something stupid.

The two Hunsons and Marceline stopped the raging ice lady. "Hey, Simon! Calm your girl-self." Marshall said.

Ice King replied to the teenage vampire. "She's not my girlfriend!"

"I didn't say girlfriend."

"Oh."

"Um, guys." Jake suspected something going on outside. "We have big problems now."

Cake took a peek and saw what her counterpart saw. "Yep. We are in a middle of a big battlefield. We should get out of here."

Now, everyone looked outside except for Bonny. They saw an infinite numbers of dead soldiers and warriors hovering above Celestine and her weakened sons. The Cosmic Owl, the Party God, Death, the head of Grob Gob Glob Grod and the late-president Abe Lincoln. They have come to stop her and her children. The cosmic deities gave their command to their infinite army, "Get her!"

Countless of brave souls attacked the girl from beyond head on. Their dead weapons slashed her and shot her many times but they're not effective.

However, their efforts to stop her was not powerful enough. Prismo knew it but doesn't want to stop his friends' big hope of winning an unbeatable battle. Celestine raised her hand, knowing that the pieces were near her. "Is this all you can do? You call yourselves deities! How cute!" She gathered all the energies in her body including small pieces mixed in those Mars boulders. The yellow light begins to transform into a cosmic cube. "Yes! My precious gem is complete!"

Everyone knew they are dead after she completely formed the cube.

She laughed at them, knowing they have lost. She has the most evil and loud laugh in the entire world. Ice King and Ice Queen were impressed at her.

"What are we going to do now?" Marceline panicked and so were the others. "Bonnibel! What are we going to do?"

"I don't know." That's the only answer Princess Bubblegum can give. She looked at her counterpart, still waiting for the download to complete. "I just hope Finn gets back."

"You know what we can do before Finn gets back. We fight back!" Flame Princess stepped up. "I don't know if we can beat her or not. But we can still stand against her or we will die trying. We fight to the end!"

"This is crazy, Flame Princess! She's way beyond your level." Bonnibel begged the princess to stay and wait.

Flame Princess ignored her. "If you're just going to wait for Finn, then fine. Just wait for him." She lit up her flame sword. Her counterpart did to as well. Then she made her final words. "If Finn returns, just tell him..."

"Tell him what?"

"I forgive him."

After that, the two last fire elemental in existence bursts out from their hiding and attacked Celestine, aware that they won't survive. They do what they can to stop her. Celestine saw the two flames and immediately pointed the cube towards them. Then she made a wish. "I wish you all-."

But then faster than light and sound, the Fire Runner found the opportunity to make a wish. He got close to the cube and whispered, continuing his mother's wish." Although, he has no idea what to say that will save his brothers and the world. He tried to remember what he came for. Seconds later, he remembered and then knows what to say. "Fear the Faceless!" He meant that to his brother Fear Caster.

Once he said it, the cube granted his wish. All mortal who were near the Fear Caster were affected.

The memory download was complete but the wish was granted. Bonny's eyes opened wide and felt intense fear as she saw the faceless creature. The princess screamed and moved back away from it. Everyone turned to the Fear Caster and they all panicked. Fear rushed around their body, making them tremble.

Fire Runner found him when he heard the screams. He approached his brother in a flash. "Brother! It is time to release your true power."

Finally. The Fear Caster spoke for the first time. He removed the device and threw it to the frightened princess. I can feel the Fear around me. Thank you.

Fire Runner nodded. He knows that he did the right thing. "Now save our brothers."

No.

"What?"

I'm not going to save them. Fear Caster has other plans. I'm going to take that cube from her.

Fire Runner pleaded, "But I came to rescue you! Because I know you can save us all!"

We're not really brothers. The faceless creature removed his pale void face and looked at Fire Runner. The runner screamed in fear as he saw the face of the darkness. The Fear went inside of him and he trembled. I don't need your help anymore. He went outside to face his mother one last time.

Celestine saw her youngest son approaching her with his revealing face. She squited her eyes so she cannot see her son's entire face. "You! How dare you disobey your mother? I made you!"

No, little one. I'm grateful that you made me into a mortal. It's just that I want the cube so bad. His shadows turned into tendrils and quickly snatched the cube from her. Celestine was terrified for the first time. She made him as the Fear Incarnate and if he has the cube, he will bring down all reality into the void of Fear. "Son, give me the cube."

I'm not your son, you deranged child! He yelled. I'm the Darkness. Fear incarnate! The Shadow Man! I'm nobody's son!"

"Get the cube!" Abe Lincoln and the other cosmic beings attacked the Faceless, hoping that they reached in time before he makes a wish. Celestine just watched them attack her child. She has no idea what to do next. She's terrified.

The Faceless whispered to the cube inaudible to everyone. After that, the cube granted his wish. Its light burst out and spread across the Multiverse in a blink of an eye. As the light touched an object, it split their molecules and their atoms, turning it into nothing. Everyone were blinded by the light. That goes to the cosmic gods as well. The souls of the fallen soldiers in history felt the light eating them and turning them into nothing. It's not hot or cold.

It's just nothing.

They're not in pain but they were horrified. Horrified that they will be erased from existence.

Prismo paused as he saw what happened to the Multiverse. He was shocked. Speechless. "Oh my glob. What have you done?"

Then his backdoor opened and three people entered his Time Room. It was Older Finn, older Marceline and Finn of Ooo. The adult Finn asked the cosmic being. "How are you going, Prismo?"

"Finn?" Then he turned to the younger one. "And Finn?"

"Yes. It's me!" Finn said. "This Older Me told me that I can get back to my own timeline by getting cross your Time Room."

"You were too late, Finn. Everyone is gone."

Finn felt his heart sunk. "What... what happened?" The first people he thought about were Jake, Princess Bubblegum and Flame Princess. "What happened to them?"

Prismo showed them the current image of the Multiverse. It's completely turned into a vast void. Endless darkness and fear. Shadows moving strangely around the new Reality. Billions of life are gone. Worlds. Dimensions. All gone. EDeath are gone as well. What was left in this new Reality was Prismo's Time Room and the tiny pale head of the faceless and his yellow cube. The Darkness felt satisifed for the first time.

He just killed the Multiverse.
