"They have to be here somewhere! Keep looking!" commanded Yang towards Team JNPR and Blake. They have been searching for both Ruby and Weiss ever since Yang discovered that both their beds were empty. Both she and Blake immediately called Team JNPR along with a couple members from Team CVFY. They were very worried since they knew that Roman Torchwick was after Ruby for some reason. Yang frantically checked throughout the town, especially near the bakeries, where the smell of fresh baked cookies were filling the atmosphere. No luck.
"Dammit Ruby, where are you?" Yang said to herself, just then her scroll started to beep. It was Blake, and she found Weiss. Yang made her way back to their dorm as fast as she can. She messaged everyone else that they've found Weiss and was hoping that Ruby would show up soon. Yang entered their dorm to find Weiss sitting in a chair across from Blake. Weiss's eyes were puffed up and red, her hair was messed up, and her sleeves showed that they were wet.
"Weiss, I'm glad we found you. We've been worried sick." Blake said, Yang kneeled down next to Weiss trying to look at her eye to eye, but Weiss avoided her gaze.
"You mind telling us why Blake found you on top of the roof?" asked Yang. Silence. Blake looked at Yang with concerned eyes for their team mate. Yang could think of a couple things that would make the great Weiss Schnee be in this state and have her younger sister missing. Yang looked at Blake once more, and they both made a silent agreement.
"Weiss…did you and Ruby…" Blake understood that Weiss was still saddened by what had happen between her and Ruby, but they still had Ruby missing. Weiss nodded, and tears finally started to fall from her eyes. Yang got up, and wrapped her arms around the young crying girl. Blake came over and did the same. After a couple minutes, Yang released herself and told her two other team mates that she was going back to look. Weiss perked her head up from Blake's remaining arms.
"Wait? Ruby didn't return last night?" asked Weiss, she started to panic a little inside. Yang closed their door once more, making her way back to Weiss.
"Well I think she did come back and went back out. Crescent Rose wasn't there this morning." Replied Yang. Weiss started to think. She knew their breakup was bad, but it seem unlikely for Ruby to leave without telling Yang where she was going especially if she took Crescent Rose with her. Just as Weiss was about to speak, Blake's scroll started to ring.
"It's Pyrrha…they found something in the forest." Blake said, and all of Team RWBY was out the door a split second later.
"Ruby…please be okay." Thought Weiss, as she followed behind Yang and Blake. They made it to the coordinates that Pyrrha had sent them in no time. Team RWBY found Team JNPR gathered in a semi-circle around an object. When they got close enough to see what was that object, both Yang's and Weiss's heart stopped for a moment. It was Crescent Rose on the ground, with a couple stains of blood on it.
"Ruby…no…I won't believe it." Yang started to say, her worse nightmare becoming true right before her.
"Wait, Yang," Jaune said, handing Yang a piece of paper," We found this on it."
Yang opened up the note and started to read it with both Blake and Weiss reading over her shoulders.
"We have your beloved "leader". Go to the castle where Summer Rose was slain if you ever want to see little Ruby Rose alive. – R.T." Yang instantly crumpled the note and started to run towards the castle, but Blake held her back with all the strength she had.
"Yang stop! We need to think this out!" said a struggling to keep Yang from running off. Yang used all her might to get herself free. Weiss knew that things were going to turn for the worse when she saw Yang's eyes turn red. She approached Yang with haste, and firmly slapped her across the face. Yang's head twisted to the side, a red mark clearly visible on her left cheek, but somehow she stopped struggling, and her eyes changed back to their normal lilac color.
"Sorry guys…" Yang said looking down, ashamed of her little tantrum.
"We all want to rescue Ruby, but we need a plan." Replied Weiss, putting a hand on Yang's shoulder, she looked apologetically to where she had slapped Yang.
"Okay here's what we do. Team JNPR, you guys go back to Ozpin and tell him where we're going. Bring back up, also." Said Blake, Team JNPR agreed, and started heading back to Beacon at full speed.
"So what's our plan?" asked Weiss, she looked at her two other team mates. Honestly they did not know what to expect when they got there, but they knew that they had to get Ruby.
"Get in, get out. And if anyone gets in our way..." Yang punched her right hand into her left palm. Weiss understood clearly. Deep down inside, she hoped that Ruby didn't mean all those things she said on the roof the other night, she prayed that maybe they'll have a chance talk.
Team RWBY made their way quickly to the castle. Yang already knew what the note was telling them to go. She remembered when she came to visit Beacon before the school year and found herself making her way to her step-mother's death place from what her father had told her. Yang loved Summer Rose just as if she was her real mother, and she told herself that she would take Ruby there when the time was right. Guess that time was sooner than she thought. They've finally arrived at a castle surrounded by henchmen. Yang readied Ember Celica, Blake cocked back Gambol Shroud, and Weiss took out Myrtenaster out from its sheath. Roman came out from the entrance of the castle, with a sly smirk on his face.
"Welcome ladies, so happy you could join us."
"Where's Ruby!?" yelled Yang, trying to keep herself from jumping at Roman herself.
"She's inside waiting for you. Why don't you come join us, there's much to discuss with my partner." And with that Roman went back inside, leaving the doors open. Blake was surprised and looked around at the henchmen. They had no weapons out or anything, they were just waiting. Yang and Weiss caught onto Blake's observation, and they made their way towards the door, not letting their guard down. Team RWBY made it half way across this large hall when, they noticed a green gas was released.
"Shit, a trap!" coughed Yang, their consciousness slowly fading. Roman once again entered their blurring vision.
"See ladies, how are we going to talk with you all stiff like that hmm?" Roman said, knocking away all their weapons.
"Damn you Torchwick." Cursed Blake, she finally passed out along with Yang. Weiss was trying hard to keep awake, but the green gas was strong.
"Take them to her, and get the runt too." Was the last thing Weiss heard from Roman before losing all consciousness.
"Ruby…" she whispered.
I felt bad for not updating the last other times, so here you go! Things getting super interesting now. Not sure how long I'm going to prolong this, I'm thinking about doing a one-shot soon, something cute. I dunno haha! Hope you're enjoying the story. Till next time.
