Chapter 7: Neyo
He shot at her speeder and watched as it plummeted towards the rocky stream below. The crash of the impact made his body quake, he'd just shot his ally, his commander, and his companion in the back. A cold feeling engulfed Neyo as he made his way back to base. While he had his differences with General Stass Allie, he along with his men of the Reconnaissance Corps revered her as their leader. Neyo would proudly admit that the atmosphere was a little brighter when Allie was around. Her charisma, youthful innocence, and playfulness made fighting a war that much easier.
Now it will never be like that again. Neyo thought grimly.
He entered his quarters and began to remove his gear. On his way back to base, Neyo and his men were ordered back to Coruscant, where the Reconnaissance Corps would be formed into the "Imperial" Army. The word left a bad taste in his mouth, but Neyo obeyed without question.
On the way towards Coruscant, Neyo had learned of the incidents involving Commanders Smokes and Deviss, as well as the cloning of Jedi by the Misfits. It amazed Neyo that the group of intelligence agents that he'd worked with routinely had kept such a big secret from virtually the entire galaxy. The knowledge of the Jedi cloning gave Neyo a renewed sense of hope in these bleak times. Perhaps his companion Stass Allie had been cloned, and was still very much alive, waiting for her men, and her commander to come back.
And by the stars we will. Neyo thought as he sank into a deep sleep.
Hi everyone! This fanfic is now complete, at least for me. I've decided that this chapter is a good place to stop the story because I feel like I've covered various clones from various positions and regiments. I initially was going to include Commander Thire but seeing as I already had Stone from the Guard, I decided against it. It has been a pleasure to write my two Star Wars fanfics over the past year, and I hope to do more when I have more ideas in my head. Right now, however, I have ideas for other stories from other "franchises" fresh and ready to write over the next couple of months. I WILL return to writing Star Wars, perhaps a fanfic dedicated to the Misfits, but again, at present, I have other fics in my backlog to write. IF you have further clones you would like to see, I would gladly give permission to anyone wanting to continue this little saga to do so, just contact me first!
