DIZCLAIMER: Me still no own.

A FEW DAYS later, Yugi was in his grandfather's store dusting the merchandise his grandpa had displayed on the selves behind the register. After his talk with Anzu, Yugi couldn't help but to feel a huge weight off his shoulders but at the same time he felt a bit…unease. As if…something wasn't right.

Yugi placed his feather duster on the self and sighed deeply. There are times Yugi wished that Atem hadn't gone. If he were still here, what would he say to him? If had be around when Anzu visited, would he had sensed something was wrong?

Yugi heard the doorbell ring, "Good afternoon!" Yugi began, "Welcome to…" Yugi's eyes lit up.

He saw Shizuka standing in the doorway, looking very worried.

Yugi walked behind his register to greet his unexpected visitor. He grinned at her, "So Kaiba let you take a day off?"

Shizuka, kept her eyes on the floor and shook her head, "No," she said quietly, "He let me off early,"

Yugi nodded, "I see," Despite everyone's protest of Shizuka working for Kaiba because they all assume he's a big jerk. Yugi, on the other hand, had total support of Shizuka's choice and did not find it all surprising when Kaiba turned out to be a very exceptional boss. There are times though, Yugi wonders if Kaiba's being a little too lenient too Shizuka.

Yugi noticed the sadness in his usually cheerful friend, "Hey…" He began, "Is something wrong?"

Shizuka started sniffing, Yugi saw a tear fall from her face, "Yugi…"she began, "I'm-I'm really sorry to bother y-you but…" Shizuka began to sob.

Yugi quickly took Shizuka by the hand and lead her to the kitchen, where he offered her a seat and a glass of water.

"Take a deep breath," Yugi said softly, "Then tell me what's wrong."

Shizuka took a long sip from her glass and took several deep breaths and finally said, "It's B-Bakura!" she cried, "S-Something's wrong and he-he won't tell me!"

Yugi placed his hands on Shizuka's shoulder's and shook his head. He had known for a long time Shizuka's soft spot for Bakura. Ever since Battle City, Shizuka seemed smitten by the soft-spoken boy.

"Maybe you need to give him some time," Suggested Yugi, "Maybe he needs to straighten things out on his own."

Shizuka shook her head, "I don't think I can give him time, Yugi…" she then whispered, "I have a feeling he's going to hurt himself…soon…"

"Is it that bad?"

Shizuka looked away, "I'm not sure…It seems that way…."

Yugi frowned, he had no idea Bakura was going through so much trouble. Last time he had spoken with Bakura, he was looking for a job.

Yugi was stumped, he had no idea what to say to Shizuka.

MEANWHILE…

Mai laid on her couch in the living room. Mai was having a terrible headache, so she shut all her shutters and kept the lights dim. But as she tried to get her afternoon nap, her mind began forming memories in her head. Memories, she did not know she had before…

Mai looked down and saw that she had a glass full of punch. She laughed. There was a tall man standing next to her. The tall man was Seto Kaiba.

"I've always knew there was something wrong with you," He said coldly, he then glanced down at his punch.

"So you're saying I'm weird for having fun at your party?" Mai asked laughing. Kaiba didn't respond, Mai glanced at him, "Y'know Kaiba…I don't really think you're such as dick as you want us to believe," she said.

Kaiba scolded, "Please," he said, "I'm not like you, or anyone else…"

Mai laughed, "Please," she said, "Don't try to fool me…" She leaned in towards the 6'1 tall man and whispered, "I think you have a secret,"

Kaiba whispered back, "And I think you are a fool to think that," he smirked, "I have no secrets, if I did, only Mokuba would know and no one else."

Her mind then gave her another memory, a memory that she wasn't sure if it had happened later that night or earlier.

"Wait, wait, wait…" Mai said as she placed her glass on the table and she turned to Honda, "But you still love her," She shook her head, "Why would you give up on Shizuka like that? Why don't you even try?"

Honda glanced at the table, somewhere behind them someone yelled, "KAIBA! SETO KAIBA! CAN YOU PLEASE COME HERE PLEASE?!"

"The…the reason wh-why I've given up," Honda took a deep breath, "Is because I think there's someone else…"

Mai raised an eyebrow, "Someone else?" she repeated in surprise, "Who?"

"Mai! Honda!" Ryuji called as he waved at them, "Do you guys wanna play some dice?"

"No way Dice Boy!" Mai yelled back, "I'm having a conversation with Honda here! Besides, we all know who's going to win anyway…"

At that comment, Ryuji laughed.

Her memory seemed to be jumbling up everything that happened that night.

Mai then spotted Kaiba practically looming over his small secretary, Shizuka. Mai nearly busted out laughing, Shizuka looked so small next to the Sasquatch of Seto Kaiba. He was practically bending over her so that his ear could be inches away from her mouth as she saw saying something.

As he was listening, Kaiba noticed Mai gawking at them. He glared at her, to annoy him, Mai smiled innocently and waved. He then straightened himself and gave a curt nod to Shizuka, who bowed at him and left without another word.

The next thing Mai knew she was in a room, feeling very hot and sweaty.

"Wh-What the hell are we doing?" Mai found herself saying as she pulled away from a deep passionate kiss.

"I would ask you the same thing…." Said the man over her.

Mai woke with a start, "Oh my god!" she gasped. Mai looked around wildly for her cell, she read the clock, it was 2:13 pm.

"Oh my god!" Mai gasped as she quickly put on her slippers and made her way to her room to her closet.

"I can't believe it!" she whispered again, "I've finally remembered!"

Mai finally reached the door and opened it, she was shocked to find Ryuji standing at the door.

"H-Hey," Ryuji said taken aback, his hand was raised obviously to knock at the door.

"H-Hey yourself," she replied.

"What's your hurry?" he asked.

Mai hesitated but then she found herself saying, "I-I know who the father is!"

Ryuji heldback, "Wh-What do you mean?!" he asked, "E-Explain this…"

Mai didn't think she'd have time to explain, she felt like she needed to tell him before it was too late. But then again, Ryuji deserved the explanation since he'd came by two months ago and confessed that he thought he was the father.

Urgh! What the hell should she do?!

LATERS…

Shizuka was heading back home. She stopped at the corner, and waited for the lights to turn green(or red, for the other countries). She quickly crossed the street, Yugi's advice running through her head. His advice was to be patient with Bakura and let him know that she will be there when she needed him.

But what if waiting wasn't the right thing to do? Shizuka had a bad feeling that Bakura would do something…dangerous. Or that something bad would happen soon. She wasn't sure. She then remembered how Bakura eventually confessed to her that he had another 'Self' as he'd described it. This, "other him" was an evil part of him, and constantly, whenever he had the chance, tormented himself and his friends. Eventually, he said that with the help of his friends, his "Other Self" left his mind for good.

"I know it sounds crazy," he had told her, "I would completely understand if you'd got angry with me and never wanted to be my friend again,"

Shizuka shook her head and gave him a hug, "That's silly," she replied, "I would always want to be your friend!"

Bakura smiled.

Could his "Other Self" returned? Could he really be in grave danger? If he was, why didn't he tell her? Could this mean they weren't close as she'd thought they were?

"Hey, Miho, do you want to get something to eat after this?"

Shizuka recognized that voice, she snapped out of her thoughts. She saw Honda and Miho walking out of the theater. They were holding hands.

"H-Honda?" Shizuka said uncertainly.

Honda, at the sound of his name turned around. He quickly let go of Miho's hand.

"Sh-Shizuka…"he said nervously, "U-Uhh…" he scratched his head boyishly, not knowing what to do.

Miho noticed Honda's fluster as he tried to speak with Shizuka. She turned to look at Shizuka, her face holding no expressions.

Shizuka smiled, "Ah! I didn't know you were going out with Miho!" she said excitedly.

Honda turned to Miho, who looked at him back, he glanced at the floor, "Actually, no one knew." He replied, his voice hollow.

Shizuka, who didn't notice the tension coming from Honda, said, "Well, I actually have to head on home! See ya!"

Honda lips trembled as he watched Shizuka walk away. Miho noticed this, but decided to keep quiet.

MEANWHILE…

After Mai told Ryuji everything she remembered Ryuji shook his head, "No," he said, "It wasn't like that. I remember it clearly."

"You were talking to me for a while," Ryuji explained, "I was telling to you that I was planning on confessing to Shizuka and to be my girlfriend. You told me you had my support, but…" at this point he chuckled, "But you told me, that if I'd hurt her, I would have to answer to you…"

His eyes glanced at the table, his eyes looking so distant, recalling the whole night.

His emerald eyes turned to her and he said, "That's when I laughed and asked why I couldn't have fallen for you instead." He sighed, "And from there, I think, the alcohol may have taken control of our minds."

Mai was silent. She sighed, Ryuji was right. She could recall some of the moments in Ryuji's story. Some, she'd had to admit, she didn't like that part when Ryuji asked her why couldn't he fall for her instead.

She hated herself for thinking this but could Ryuji be right? Could he be the father of this unborn? Or could she be right and it's him? Mai hated this…she couldn't think properly. She blamed her hormones.

Ryuji sighed, "If you want," he said, "Maybe you can tell him, and see how he reacts. If he reacts negatively, then…well, you know you've got me."

Mai nodded, and smiled. "You're right," she said, she got up from her couch, "I'll tell him!" She then headed towards the door, but she stopped at the door.

Her hand could not reach the doorknob, "I-I can't…" she confessed, "I don't think I can tell him,"

Ryuji got up and held her hand, "It's okay," he said softly, "You don't have to do it today…you have all the time that you need."

Mai shook her head, "No Ryuji, I don't have time…but you're right. I don't have to do it today, besides I need to calm down first. Then, it would be safer to tell him, without letting her emotions get the best of her.

She nodded, "Thank you, Ryuji," she said, "Thank you!" She hugged him.

Ryuji smiled, Mai didn't notice the sigh of relief that came from him.

Ah! I had to laugh at the part where in Mai's flashback someone yelled, "KAIBA! KAIBA! COULD YOU PLEASE COME OVER HERE?!" Oh mah glob! who was that loud obnoxious person? Haha! Yeh, i know, many of you probably hate me for not revealing much in the chapter, but i assure you all that in many ways, I did. That is all i could say for now, untill next time. Please read n' review! :3
