ANZU HAD A bad feeling. Her guts couldn't stop churning. Anzu glanced at her cell as if she were expecting a call or something. She had no idea what is going on, but she woke up in the morning and the first thing that came up to her mind is something bad is going to happen.

She kept pacing back and forth in her living room, her feeling of terror increasing.

Finally, Anzu decided that enough was enough. She needed to calm down. So she took a seat on the love chair…that is…until her phone rang.

It's funny how Anzu had been dreading the worst all day, which meant she could have expected this, but the sudden ring made her jump. Anzu took a breath to calm herself down and answered.

"H-Hello?" Anzu answered uncertainty. She knew something was happening! She knew it!

"Anzu?"

That voice. Anzu's stomach did a flip. Of all the people, it had to be that voice.

"Yeah?"

"Anzu?" the voice said again, this time Anzu could hear the urgency in its voice.

"Anzu, p-please...Could you come to the hospital?" the familiar voice asked trying to keep its voice even and calm. Anzu wasn't a fool, she knew this person like the back of her hand. She knew this person is freaking out.

"What?" Anzu asked her voice shaking, "What is it? what happened?"

"it's Mai. Something's wrong with Mai."

LATERS…

About an hour later, Anzu arrived at the hospital. Her eyes searching hungrily for the voice on the phone. It didn't take her long to find the familiar tri-layer hair style. She immediately headed towards her friend, who was sitting on the seats, his elbow resting on his knees causing his hands to dangle, his head was bowed. Anzu placed her purse on the floor and sat next to Yugi. Her mind kept screaming: I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT!

"Yugi," Anzu breathed, she was breathless since she practically ran throughout the entire hospital just to get into the emergency unit, "What happened?" What's wrong?"

It took a while for Yugi to speak, he kept taking deep breaths, "Mai's in labor..." he suddenly began, his voice hollow. "But…"

"Is Mai okay?" Anzu asked, "I-I mean, she's like a month early, right?"

Yugi slowly nodded, "She's fine…so far…" he replied. At this, Anzu sighed in relief…but something was wrong. If Mai is alright…then what's hurting Yugi?

"Y-Yugi?" Anzu said quietly, "Are you okay?"

"Wh-what if it's me?" Yugi suddenly said.

Anzu had no idea what Yugi was talking about, she raised an eyebrow. At that moment, Anzu realized that this is the first time since the last eight months that she and Yugi had an actual conversation.

"What if-What if I'm the father?" Yugi finally looked up, tears were forming in his eyes.

"What?" Anzu whispered. She couldn't believe what she was hearing: so this is what Yugi had been worried about all this time?

"It's not suppose to be this way…I-I mean…" Yugi looked away.

Anzu suddenly placed her hand over Yugi's. "I'm sorry."

Yugi shook his head, "No, I'm sorry." He said. He looked into Anzu's eyes, "Anzu…" He whispered softly, "Whatever happens…I'm sorry." A tear ran down his cheek, "I'm really sorry."

"No," Anzu said, now she was crying, "I'm sorry! I've been…jealous of Mai for a long time!" she admitted.

Now it was Yugi's turn to look confused, "What?"

Anzu hastily wiped her tears away with the back of hand, "I-I thought…I thought all this time….You and Mai…"

Yugi didn't say anything, his mouth was left slightly agape. He was stunned.

Anzu looked away, "That's-That's why I haven't been talking t-to you lately."

"Why?" Yugi asked.

Anzu sniffed and glanced at Yugi. Should she tell him?

MEANWHILE…

"Tick! Tock! goes the clock," Said Shizuka suddenly as she sat on her office chair. She placed her tippy toes and used them to make her chair spin.

"What game shall we play?" Shizuka then placed her feet firmly on the ground.

Okay, Shizuka had to admit it, she was bored. And she couldn't believe it either, usually Kaibacorp was so busy Shizuka would have a hard time to remember if she had her lunch or not. But not today. Everything was awfully calm in Kaibacorp. Which gave Shizuka an eerie feeling that something is going on. She just had to figure out what.

Shizuka would walk in to her boss' office and ask him if he had something for her to do, but Kaiba hasn't been out of his office since four in the morning. To which Shizuka assumed that he was busy and that meant he didn't want to be disturbed.

But she was so bored! She hadn't done any assignments for almost an hour! Shizuka pouted, she then reached into her purse and took out her phone, getting ready to play a game.

As she was about to open her app, her phone began to vibrate, which nearly caused Shizuka to scream and throw away her phone.

Honda was calling her. At this, Shizuka looked around to see if the coast was clear. Kaibacorp had a strict policy of no phone usage during work hours. If it were an emergency, all calls had to be handed in the Welcoming Center, whom will then transfer the call to said employee.

The thing was, everyone knew not to call Shizuka at work(except Jonouchi, who still had no idea that Shizuka is working for Kaiba). The best they can do is text to tell her what's up. It was the only way to get around Kaiba's strict policies.

Shizuka saw the phone shake for the third time. She bit her lip and glanced at the nearby security camera that was perched on the wall behind her, watching her like a hawk. Shizuka knew Kaiba had his eyes on her and he would catch her immediately. Oh, what to do! Honda! Why did he have to call?

To Shizuka's relief, the phone stopped vibrating. A second later, her phone vibrated. She was sent a text message. Shizuka quickly read it.

Honda: Shizuka did u hear

Shizuka raised an eyebrow.

Shizuka: hear what?

It took a moment for Honda to respond.

Honda: Mai's at the hospital shes having her baby

Shizuka gasped. "No way!" she whispered excitedly. She quickly texted back.

Shizuka: OMG! I want to go! Not sure if Blue Eyes will let me go L

Again, it took a while for Honda to respond. Shizuka could only guess that he may be on his way to the hospital now.

Honda: Just ask him

Honda: I'm sure he'll let ya go

Honda: u r his STAR employee after all :D

At that text Shizuka giggled, so she replied: LOL. Blue Eyes has no star employee

Shizuka: if he did, it would be a lot easier to work with! J

Honda replied quickly this time.

Honda: alrght then I'll send u the address so u can come later

Later?! Shizuka stared in disbelief at that text. She wanted to go now! The baby could come at any moment and she didn't to miss it!

What to do! What to do! Shizuka was flustered. She glanced at her computer, then at Kaiba's door. Then back at her computer, and then at Kaiba's door again.

"I want to go!" Shizuka scream shouted. Without thinking, Shizuka got up from her chair and headed towards Kaiba's door. She held her breath, and politely knocked.

She then slowly, but carefully opened the door, and bowed.

"Mr. Kaiba?" Shizuka politely asked.

Shizuka almost gasped at the sight. Kaiba was sitting on his desk, with one hand buried in his silky, neatly styled hair, the other hand, holding a pen, writing something. He looked so calm and composed, he looked very handsome that made Shizuka almost forget that this was an all-powerful man, with an arrogant attitude.

Kaiba slowly raised his head and slowly placed his pen down. "What is it?" he asked quietly.

Shizuka glanced nervously at the floor, what in the world made her do this? Asking Kaiba to let her off of work early?!

She nervously began to twiddle with her fingers, "Um…I-I was wondering if-if I can get off early for today…" she began. "Y-You see…a friend of mine…is going to labor…right now…and…"

She couldn't go on, she was too nervous to do so.

She watched Kaiba glance at his computer screen, "You don't leave until about another thirty minutes, right?"

At this, Shizuka nodded and waited.

At this, Kaiba frowned, "This is going to be your one and only chance," he said.

Shizuka blinked in disbelief, she quickly bowed twice and said, "Th-thank you, Mr. K-Kaiba!" she exclaimed.

She ran out the door, but then she ran back into Kaiba's office, "I'll get you something nice, Mr. Kaiba! Thank you!"

She was gone.

Kaiba frowned and sighed. He glanced at the clock on the screen, his eyes narrowed.

MEANWHILE…

"I-I like you," Anzu admitted. "I really like you, Yugi."

Yugi blinked, "Anzu…"

Anzu blushed, realizing what she was saying. She quickly looked away.

Yugi opened his mouth to say something, but before he could, he and Anzu heard the sound of footsteps running down the hallway heading their direction.

Then, person suddenly stopped right in front of them, placing his hands on his knees, his body heaving trying to catch his breath.

"Guys," Jonouchi huffed, "How's Mai?"
