Once the two groups have met up again, TK had nearly been made into paste by Veggiemon only to be saved by Joe whereupon Matt got his crest to glow and WereGarurumon had been born, Takuya explains the protections around Ken set up by Lord Cherubimon, " Hey, that is handy. " Matt admits, he liked the older Kanbara and Takuya really only advised them though he told them that he would be going in to help Izzy as Vademon had him. Vademon was one of the digimon that the Celestials had ordered him to deal with.

The others have no problem with this and decide that they would train while they waited on Takuya to get done retrieving their Knowledge Duo. By the time Takuya got in there Izzy had already given up his curiosity and his partner was devolving at an alarming rate. Takuya grabs up Izzy's curiosity and heads straight for the red head while Impmon talks with Vademon about the importance of keeping the kid contained. " Pabu pabu. "

Pabumon uses his Bubble Blow attack filled with his memories of him and Izzy. Takuya watches as this would be a defining moment for the Child of Knowledge. His eyes light up, " Oh, Pabumon, I'm sorry. "

" You did good, kid. I believe this belongs to you. " Takuya says, handing him his curiosity. Izzy immediately reabsorbs it and then he curses his own stupidity before realizing something.

" Vademon has my crest! " Izzy exclaims, furious with himself for falling for such an obvious trap.

" Oh, don't worry about that, he'll come back into this pocket dimension once he sees your curiosity is missing. I'm Kanbara Takuya, King of Flames and Selena's father though her older brother hitched a ride in with Tai to escape from my well-meaning mother. My boss' sent me out after Vademon but I figure I can give you first shot at him. I'll only step in if I need to. " Takuya tells him.

" Izumi Koushiro but call me Izzy. "

Pabumon quickly digivolves back up to Tentomon, " It's good to have you back, Izzy. Now, why don't we get ready for that idiot with the overinflated ego. " Tentomon says.

" With pleasure, Tentomon. " Izzy says and his digivice lights up.

" Tentomon digivolve to… Kabuterimon! "

Vademon enters the other dimension just then to see Kabuterimon. " Electro Shocker! "

Vademon blocks the attack with some random junk just as Takuya snatches the crest from his long spiny fingers and tosses it to Izzy. Izzy's crest starts to glow vibrantly and then his digivice whines louder as it starts to glow purple and maroon. " Kabuterimon digivolve to… MegaKabuterimon! "

" Kabuterimon was successful. He digivolved to ultimate MegaKabuterimon. Let's see if you can take him on now, Vademon. " Izzy says.

" If MegaKabuterimon can't kick your ass the Celestials have sent me to deal with you instead. You might have heard of me, I'm the Flame King. " Takuya interjects.

Vademon blanches the Flame King was not known for his mercy against those that have defied the will of the Celestials, it was why he liked the sovereigns being around, he had more free reign. While this is going on topside Matt can be seen sparring with Jaden while Selena spars with Mimi and Davis with TK. Ken was running through a new kata that Jaden had taught him, " Oh, Tai, loved your beat down on Lobomon. JaegerLowëmon allowed me to watch through his eyes. That was epic, bro. " Jaden says.

Selena makes sure to lightly hit all the spots Mimi was leaving open in her defenses and the Child of Sincerity was doing better. Palmon was sparring with Agumon while Veemon sparred Gomamon and Tsunomon sparred with Wormmon. Patamon was working on his strength again by training with Kazemon and Meteormon. Selena doesn't even pause when Izzy, her dad, and the other half of the Knowledge Duo make their appearance. Takuya shakes his head, though he knew that the training was vital. The children needed to be able to act quickly and decisively if they were to win this. Takuya had already contacted Aurista to set things up for his return, though she was not to tell his mother he was awake yet.

She was also going to make it so Mr. Fujiyama would be expecting him to pick up the kids and that Jaden had been there all along. Sometimes having a Plutonian Queen as a friend came in handy. That way there would be no awkward explanations to deal with and the kids would be able to go wherever they needed to. He'd have to make sure he got Takato before things got to hairy, that way Takato could get some training and help out with the situation in their world, give him some hands on experience.

Jaden only sensed their watcher after he had already left, " Damn, Dad, I think DemiDevimon's been replaced. " Jaden redirects Matt's left hook and rams his knee into his stomach. Matt groans and drops, " Not bad, Ishida, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. First off, you need to get those abs into better shape and learn how to take a hit. Selena's being gentler with Mimi, letting her know with soft touches where the holes are in her defenses. Davis is doing the same for TK, though maybe your mom would let him take some self-defense lessons. "

Takuya curses, now the current big bad would know he was active in the Digital World again. Takuya goes over to Ken and corrects his form while he goes through his katas, " Yo, Izzy, this is Ichijouji Ken, Child of Kindness, his partner is Wormmon. " Takuya says.

" A pleasure to meet you, Ken, I'm Izumi Koushiro but everyone calls me Izzy. Motimon is my partner. " Izzy states, introducing himself to their newest member.

" Likewise, Izzy. " Ken says.

Takuya calls a halt to the training half an hour later and Selena supplies their food, Meat Apples while Takuya gets a fire going. Jaden finds the sticks they need to cook their meal and everyone pulls out their water bottle, Davis hands Jaden and Takuya's to them. " Refilling bottles, one of Ser's better ideas. " Takuya says as they Kanbaras set to work cooking for everyone. After a good meal Tsunomon digivolves back up to Gabumon and Motimon to Tentomon. " Now all we need to do is find Sora. Joe, how's your stock of natural medicines? " Tai asks.

" I'm good on that front. "

" We stocked up on bandages and the like when we got Mimi. " Davis adds on.

" Okay, so we're sitting good on medical supplies and food thanks to Selena. Our training is going well though Ken needs to catch up on that. Still, the fact that he plays soccer is a plus, have a better base to work with. " Tai states.

" You still need to find your last member though. Check the tracking function on your digivices, seven of you are here, the lone dot should be Sora. "

" Eight signals will show up here though, I have my little sister Kari's digivice. Selena suggested that I grab it and we try and get Kari's crest before bringing her in on this. " Tai says.

" I was right about the missing puzzle pieces then. " Selena says, eating her third Meat Apple.

" Looks like it. " Tai admits.

" We still need a plan. " Izzy says.

" For that we need to know whom we're up against currently 'cause there's no way we've reached the final boss yet. " Davis says.

" Oh, now that's depressing. " Mimi says as Matt's digivice locks on to Sora.

" Davis is right, you'll go through a lot of enemies before you reach the end of why you were called upon in the first place. Our first major foes were the corrupted Legendary Warriors Mercurymon of Metal, Grumblemon of Earth, Kazemon of Wind, Beetlemon of Thunder, Duskmon of Darkness, and Arbormon of Wood. Cherubimon had been corrupted by Lucemon whom had been beaten by AncientGreymon, AncientGarurumon, the only two to live through to the end of that fight, AncientKazemon, AncientBeetlemon, AncientWisemon, AncientSphinxmon, AncientVolcanomon, AncientMermaimon, AncientMegatheriummon, and AncientTroiamon. Jaden has inherited AncientSphinxmon's will, Selena and I both inherited AncientGreymon's will, Davis has inherited AncientVolcanomon's will.

Before the final take down of Cherubimon we ended up on this island known as the Island of Lost Digimon. There were two villages there, one of Beast Type digimon and one of Human Type digimon that were at war with each other. Unknown to us at the time the situation was the fact that a digimon by the name of Murmukusmon had discovered the place where a digimon by the name of Ornismon that had been sealed there at some point by AncientGreymon and AncientGarurumon. See there had been a mural there that told how to revive this bad ass digimon and Murmukusmon destroyed it and then went about stirring things up as Darcmon for the human tribe and Hippogriffomon for the beast tribe.

See he needed a lot of sacrifices and Tommy, JP, Zoey, and all the kid digimon along with Bokumon and Neemon were able to piece together all the writing, the Digi Code. Bokumon read it and JP and Zoey decided that Koji and I needed to know immediately. That was when they caught the Slide Evolution of Darcmon into Hippogriffomon and they revealed the duplicity to everyone. Unfortunately that had been enough sacrifices and Ornismon rose once again. The sacrifice of one little Kotemon was enough to awaken the spirits of AncientGreymon and AncientGarurumon with his best friend Bearmon's prayers. Tommy and the others managed to put the mural back together in time. Serena was protecting the elderly while we were all more directly involved.

Cherubimon was our next big fight and before we finished him off for good and IceDevimon that had been imprisoned under his castle, the Rose Morning Star, attacked us. He froze mine and Koji's D-Tectors leaving us unable to fight. Koichi, whom we freed from Cherubimon's grasp after we took down Sakkakumon, the Beast of Metal, rallied the troops and they took him down. After that we had to deal with two corrupt RoyalKnights, Crusadermon and Dynasmon. Then we had to deal with Lucemon himself, he tried to break into our world and that was when we all Ancient Spirit evolved to Susanoomon. " Takuya says.

They all look at him, " Damn. " is all Tai has to say to that story.

" Yeah, you're a chosen child of flame, that didn't even phase you, did it? " Takuya asks Tai.

" With all the crap Jay's talked me into, why would it? " Tai retorts.

Takuya looks at his son, " Jaden, what did you do? "

" Tai's an umbra kinetic, I had to get him trained somehow. " Jaden retorts.

Tai blinks and then looks at his best friend, " I have umbra kinesis? "

" Yeah, you do, all those little games, sneaking in and out of places, all of that was designed to teach you in a way that you wouldn't notice and that no one else around you would notice either. I wasn't sure how your parents would feel about having an umbra kinetic son. " Jaden admits.
