Chapter 17

Taiki Kanbara rolls his shoulders as he makes his way stealthily to Odaiba. He knew damn well that the senshi would try and take him back, try to brainwash him again. He would not stand for that, he was Taiki Kanbara, dammit, it was about time he started living up to the Kanbara name. He knew Jaden and Selena were both caught up in the Digital World's current mess and he also knew they would be in Odaiba shortly. Taiki's viridian eyes narrow as he suppresses his power, sensing Mars scrying for him. Served them right, they were the ones that taught him how to hide from people trying to find him magically or mundanely, now it was time to put those lessons to use, Kanbara style.

This would make for many headaches for those that thought they could use him to destroy the Digital World, the first place that had ever felt like home to his mother. He was not going to let himself be used like that. Hell no, were they going to get away with that shit. He'd been bamboozled for six years too long. He didn't blame Jaden, he'd been closer to Selena. Better him than his twin sister, seeing as how they'd treated him decently they probably wouldn't have treated his sister decently as she would not have bowed to them. Selena was their father's daughter, she was a true Kanbara, her will was indomitable.

He was two when this all started but still, he should have had a good impression of what his parents looked like, so why the hell did he allow himself to believe Ikkuko and Kenji were his parents, unless Pluto screwed with his memories.

Time Gates:

Pluto curses the intervention of Sailor Psyche, she had freed their puppet and said puppet would be that much harder to get back under their control. That was if they could find him. They trained him too well. Taiki was very good at stealth and he would reunite with his siblings just as soon as he could. Thankfully neither of his parents were awake yet.

Charon Castle, Pluto:

Aurista smirks, when she'd gotten Takuya's message she'd grinned. Her child needed to be taken down permanently for interfering with the time line. Also for attacking the princess she was sworn to defend, well, technically queen as Serena had become Cosmos due to her soul mate's stupidity, as she'd put it. If keeping her daughter from knowing about Takuya's awakening would help them out then she would do it. Hey, she was bored and pissed at her daughter's audacity.

Hadia was the only one whom apparently had raised up a proper daughter. Dear Hotaru had gone into hiding due to what happened. Her soul mate being the Digital World's Darkness King, Kimura Koichi. She'd hadn't been old enough physically yet for them to have any children, yet dear Jaden had inherited the Spirits of Darkness from Koichi. Thankfully Koichi had managed to teach him about both sides of darkness and still was through Lowëmon. This way Jaden wouldn't be caught off guard by the nastier aspect to darkness, as Koichi had put it, tainted darkness.

Koji had mentioned something about a light source being corrupted and tainting people. He had said that was probably why Jaden had such a talent for dueling, because Jaden was the only one whom could truly defeat this light. Of course, Serena and Takuya hadn't been too thrilled with that but they accepted it.

Digi World:

Aldamon curses as he gets sent sailing backwards by his old foe. Dammit, where was Koji when you needed him. " Wildfire Tsunami! "

" Hurricane Wave! "

The combo attack of wind and flame knocks Murmukusmon back and Davis has Veemon digivolve first, then he spirit evolves to Erdemon, diving underground in order to set up a sneak attack. " Spiking Strike! "

" Hand of Fate! "

Ken and TK had been thinking along similar lines and managed to digivolve their partners to take some heat off of their warrior friends. " Needle Spray! "

Apparently Mimi had the same thought as well. Joe has Gomamon digivolve and stay back to protect the rest of them. Trying to give Matt and Izzy's partners a break as they had both attained Ultimate level not that long ago. " Dark Master! "

DunkelheitGepardmon makes his presence felt while Sora comes running up with Yokomon in her arms and Tai is following close behind her, " Nova Blast! "

" Seismic Sledge! "

Erdemon bursts from the ground and basically upper cuts Murmukusmon with his hammer. The still looking like Darcmon Murmukusmon goes reeling backwards. " Tail Crash! "

" Do it, Greymon! " Tai calls out, his partner couldn't handle another ultimate at the moment but he could handle being champion and keeping their current foe off balance. TK tosses an any flavor cabbage to Sora for Yokomon to eat so the in-training could get her energy up quicker. Sora nods her thanks as Kazemon zips in and nails Murmukusmon with her Tempest Twist again while Nǚhuǒyànshòumon pile drives Murmukusmon into the ground. Gabumon and Tentomon stay alert but they knew they were being kept in reserve. Veedramon stayed back with Ikkakumon to protect the others as best as he could.

Aldamon starts charging up what he considered his finisher, " Solar Wind Destroyer! "

Everyone moves out of the way of this attack and Darcmon's fractal code shows, " Murmukusmon let the flames burn away your impurities, fractal code… digitize! " Aldamon calls out, summoning his D-Tector to his hand.

Myotismon's Castle:

The vampire digimon curses when he realizes the Prince of Darkness managed to steal the Crest and Tag of Light from him. Then he gets a report from Impmon telling him they beat Murmukusmon. Wizardmon chuckles silently and prays Gatomon will come to her senses soon. How Myotismon got his hands on a partner digimon he had no clue. She shouldn't have even been separated from the other digimon to begin with. Of course, the Dark Masters attacking when they did screwed everything to hell. It was sheer dumb luck that eight of the partners had remained together. Gennai had done the best he could to get them all out and safe.

The last he had heard from Lord Cherubimon Kindness and his partner were with the other children and he had been freed from the impure darkness that had been planted within him. This had the children sitting well, plus Takuya was awake again, things were looking up.
