Hullo! Bet you never expected to hear from me again, huh? It has, after all, been over a year since the last update and for that I'm here to apologize.
Before I get ahead of myself I would like to extend my thanks and apologies to the Guest that reviewed most recently stating their hope for this story to continue. I hate myself for letting this story sit at a stand-still for so long but I want to thank you for renewing my hopes for it. Admittedly one of the reasons I'd managed to put this story off for so long was because I was worried that those who had originally read and loved this story had moved on, but thanks to experience shared with other writers and your particular message I now know that it doesn't need to end this way.
Sadly as I'm sure you can tell this isn't a new chapter, and in fact a new chapter may not come for a long while. The reasons for this are very simple. Most of the resources and details written out for Disney Academy were stored on an old desktop computer of mine that has been in storage since last September (and the short story as to why that is would be that my family is in the middle of moving). Because of this I don't have the vast and intricate web of details and relations between characters that I had built during the first months of this story's creation. The second reason is that I don't want to continue with this sub-par version of the tale, but to rewrite it and hopefully create a better version of the story that is set in my mind.
So at some point an update may come, but be prepared to move onto the newly made version of Disney Academy. And if anyone wishes to converse with me about the subject you're more than welcome to message me. I've always been very welcoming of ideas and if you happened to have been one of the submitters of the students mentioned in the original story I'll likely be messaging you when the time draws closer to the remake making sure I still have permission to use and exploit your creations. And - dare I say it - I may become interested in welcoming more submissions. I already have many main characters (nearing half of the original 32 students) but side characters are always a welcome touch to any story, and especially one taking place in a school. And should any of the character creators back down from the prospect there will be ample space available to refill the ranks.
But I must remind you that this is somewhat wishful thinking, and by no means will any of this happen by the end of the month or the next. However I wanted to reassure any and all of you who may still have hope for this story that it has never and will never be abandoned. And that is a fact.
