This is a request for my thoughts on what made Oliver smile after reading Holly's poem during their final dinner together. It gave me a chance to get back into Oliver's head and explore his thoughts after his wife's unexpected return. The characters are the brilliant creation of Martha Williamson and beautifully portrayed by Eric Mabius, Kristin Booth, and Poppy Montgomery.

This story was prompted by my friend Jan Miller who wondered what that might look like. This is my first story from Oliver's point of view so I hope I do it justice. I've wondered why Shane and Becky, self-professed best friends in DC, didn't stay in touch after Shane's move to Denver. Becky's question about Shane being in the Dead Letter Office instead of Direct Line Operations had me thinking they'd not spoken in the several months since Shane's move. The characters belong to the brilliant Martha Williamson. I'm just playing with them.
