'What's wrong... Just come and sit down with me' Jen said lovingly while patting the space next to her. Tilly shakes her head in disbelief letting out a sarcastic chuckle.

'Is it that easy?' She looks at her older lover with wide eyes.

'W..what do you mean?' Jen stumbles. Thinking of what she could of done wrong to make Tilly have a negative attitude towards her.

'Is it that easy...to act as if I mean nothing to you?' Tilly replies.

Jen looks at Tilly with a confused expression on her face then the conversation with Diane flashes through her mind. Jen quickly realises what Tilly is so upset about. She looks away deeply exhaling before answering Tilly's question.

'Ohh, you heard...I had to say those things Tilly. She was on to us...I didn't mean what I said, you know that' the brunette says in a pleading tone while looking up at Tilly.

Tilly is now pacing the room while Jen is talking. She turns to look at Jen while holding her hands up in the air. 'Do I? Because it sounded very convincing to me Jen' Tilly huffed. Jen looked at Tilly in shock, she was hurt that she would think so little of her. Before she thought about what to say, her voice just ran away with her.

'Oh don't be stupid Tilly. What did you expect me to say? Oh don't tell anyone just let me carry on having fun...screwing my student!'

Before Jen can process what she has just said, Tilly instantly jumps in, reeling her head back in disbelief, growing increasingly agitated 'Oh so is that all I am to you huh?' She shakes her head with her hands on her hips.

Jen places her head in her hands. Instantly regretting what she said. She starts to rub her forehead trying to calm herself down. She continues in a soft tone, generally sincere.

'Tilly I didn't mean it like that, I'm sorry.. I love..' Before Jen can finish what she is saying Tilly interrupts in an explosive voice while walking towards Jen.

...'or maybe your just in this because getting it on with a student excites you' Tilly is now standing beside Jen's bed not thinking before she speaks.

Jens hand suddenly touches her own lips in a shocked expression. The brunette feels the need to defend the accusation that has just been thrown at her.

'How dare you Tilly. You have no idea how hard this is for me... I'm risking everything for you, you know that.. Do you think I would just be in this if it was just for a bit of fun?'

'Well how am I supposed to know that, it's all about you and your career. What about me? This is risky for me as well you know. You only ever show me you love me in secret, when the doors are closed. It isn't easy for me either you know, sneaking around... and as soon as we get out there you don't even acknowledge me. You act as I I don't exist or mean anything to you' tears start to build, Tilly instantly blinks them away, not wanting to seem weak; however she feels hurt by this conversation and how far it has escalated.

All Jen can think about is how selfish Tilly is being. Asking herself..why can't Tilly just understand and see how much I'm risking to be with her.

'Ohhhh yeah, what do you want me to do? walk around holding your hand in school. Just to show you I love you. Come on Tilly, stop acting like a child. Grow up, I thought you were smarter than that?'

Tilly feels a sting in the words that are being thrown at her. She grits her teeth 'Don't patronise me Jen' her heart now throbbing from this conversation.

Deflated, Tilly continues...'this is ridiculous. I'm going...Maybe it's better if we have a break for a while. Just so we can figure out what we want'. The young woman starts to walk away.

WILL JEN FIGHT FOR TILLY OR JUST LET HER WALK AWAY?.
