Okay, I know this is short, but I'm almost done with the next one too. Please review!

Rose hurried with her team to get James to the hospital wing. He kept saying he was fine, but he could barely walk without Fred's assistance. Rose was especially anxious to check on Hugo. This was not the way she wanted his first match to go.

When they reached the infirmary Ms Abbott jumped up from her desk to assist. James refused to la down, but took his skele-gro with minimal grimacing. Considering he'd played quidditch for years, not to mention his other marauder-like antics, he was used to the stuff. Once he was settled, Rose rushed over to Hugo's bed. He was still unconscious.

Ms Abbott came over to Rose's side. "Don't worry hun, he'll be fine. He was awake earlier and took his medicine. I expect him to wake up again in about three hours." She nodded her thanks, and Ms. Abbott left to help the student who had just walked in. Rose looked down at her little brother and tears formed in her eyes. She didn't like seeing him hurt. Lily walked over and hugged Rose.

"He'll be fine. And we'll get him back on the pitch in no time!" She said hopefully.

"Yea, with some extra bludger-dodging training," Fred added, and Rose giggled. She looked up to check on James, and then looked to see what he was scowling at.

Scorpius had managed to avoid the beginning of the party by heading off to the hospital wing. Nott had stopped him as he left,

"Where are you headed off to?"

"Hospital wing, gotta get something for this shoulder."

"Okay, but don't take too long. You were instrumental in this victory, everyone will want you there."

"Yeah, okay" Scorpius answered, thinking of how he could manage to get out of it.

Nott stopped him as he turned to leave, "Wait, take someone with you, Gryffindor's whole team will probably be there, we don't want anything happening to our seeker,"

"No, it's fine. I can handle myself." He said quickly, and darted out before Nott could call anyone over.

Scorpius thought about the game as he walked through the castle. He didn't understand why Slytherin was celebrating so much. They barely won. If Gryffindor hadn't been down a chaser the would have been destroyed.

He entered the hospital wing silently, he had years of practice at going unnoticed. Ms Abbott came over and immediately started checking his shoulder. She had a knack for knowing a person's injury before asking. Scorpius focused on what she was doing and ignored the glares from six angry quidditch players behind him.

"It's a muscle tear. No big deal" Ms. Abbott said as she waved her wand over his shoulder. The pain vanished instantly. "There, that should stop the pain for ten hours. You will need to take this," she handed him a small vial of potion, "and then lay still for eight hours as the muscle repairs itself. Most people take it before bed." She seemed to notice the anger from the other students because she hurried him out of the wing before he could even say "thank you".

He stood behind the doors for a minute, before turning back towards the dungeon. He made it ten steps before he heard the doors open again, and an angry red-head shouted "Hey!"

Remembering his game, he put on the easy smirk as he turned to face her. "What are you doing here?" Rose insisted.

"I tore a muscle, needed a potion. Why am I bothering you?" he retorted.

"You knew we would be in here. No one wanted to see your stupid face!"

"Bitter are we?" he jeered.

She stalked forward a few steps and responded, "Why would I be bitter. We both know who the better seeker is. I caught the snitch!

"I won the game."

She was so furious that she couldn't even respond. Scorpius saw her hand twitch towards her wand, and recognized the blaze in her eyes from their duel in the greenhouses. He was so fed up with his house for their blatant cheating, and angry at himself for the games he was playing, that he didn't even consider drawing his wand. She was right. She was the better seeker, the better witch, the better person. Her anger didn't excite him any longer, it just made him feel very small.

Rose couldn't form words strong enough to represent her anger at him in that moment. Instead of hexing him into a toad she just turned her back and walked towards the hospital wing.

"Rose," the voice she heard was so soft and sweet, it couldn't possibly be coming from him. She turned back to him and saw no gloating or scheming in his expression, only concern, and maybe even… guilt? "How's Hugo doing?"

She was still too mad to be pleasant, "Why would you care!?"

"It was a cheap shot, when Nott hit him. I was just hoping… that he would be okay." This shy voice was the Scorpius from first year, not the devil he had been for the past month.

"Yea, he's gonna be okay." She responded in a daze, still stunned at his considerate question. He merely nodded in return and headed off towards his common room. Rose considered following after him, but she didn't know when he might snap back to the Malfoy she despised. Instead she rejoined her team.
