Before we continue with this I want to clear one this up about this chapter. When it says Darkrai, it means like the Pokémon Darkrai.

Also, why I'm at it, I'm so sorry for not updating sooner. With marching band practice and late night football games that I'm supposed to be at it's hard to find time to update. Plus I'm looking for a job. I'll try to update more often but I can't promise anything.

Anyway, on with the story! :)

Sandra watched as Leone and Lady Shadow's bey circled around the stadium. She didn't want to attack right away considering how tired she felt from her battle with Sora. I have to be careful. I don't know what Lady Shadow is capable of.

"Go Darkrai!" Lady Shadow shouted. Her bey charged at Leone.

"Move Leone!" Sandra commanded. Leone narrowly avoided Darkrai's attack. Darkrai attacked again and again but Leone kept dodging.

"Why are you running, Sandra? Afraid you're going to lose?" Lady Shadow taunted.

"I'm not running!" Sandra retorted. "You should know why I keep dodging! You already know everything else!"

"Don't be so bitter, Sandra. You have been hanging around your boyfriend too long," Lady Shadow said.

It's exactly the opposite, Sandra thought. I haven't seen enough of him lately. I wonder where Kyoya is. Is he far from here? Is he safe or is the killer after him? I really hope he's ok!

"Sandra! Watch out!" Sora's shout snapped Sandra out of her thoughts just in time to see Leone be sent flying.

"Leone! No!" Sandra exclaimed. She sighed with relief when Leone landed back inside the stadium. That was too close.

"You'd better pay attention if you want to win this battle, Sandra!" Lady Shadow said as Darkrai began to attack Leone again.

How can I focus when I'm so worried about Kyoya? Sandra gritted her teeth in frustration.

"Darkrai! Double Team!" Lady Shadow commanded. Her bey suddenly multiplied. Sandra's eyes widened as she glanced around at each bey. Which one is the real one?

"Now Dark Pulse!" Lady Shadow shouted. Dark, shadowy waves came off of all of the Darkrai beys, trapping Leone in the middle.

"Leone! Hang on!" Sandra exclaimed.

"You really think you can defeat Nemesis as you are now? You can't even defeat me!" Lady Shadow said. "I'm ending this now! Darkrai!"

Sandra shut her eyes tight as Leone started to wobble. I can't let it end here! I need to know who the killer is! I need to stop this person, whoever they are! Leone began to glow with a turquoise aura.

Lady Shadow blinked. "Huh?"

"I won't lose! Not to you, Nemesis, the killer, or anyone!" Sandra shouted. "I will protect my friends at any cost! Here me! As long as I'm alive I won't allow harm to come to my friends!" Sandra opened her eyes and stared into the light. "Do it, Leone! Lion Gale Force Wall!" The tornado appeared pushing away all the shadowy waves of energy. "Now! Special Move! Fierce Tornado Clash!" Leone built up its momentum as it circled until it collided with the real Darkrai, taking out all of the illusions in the process. Darkrai was sent flying out of the stadium and landed at Lady Shadow's feet. Lady Shadow closed her eyes and calmly picked up her bey.

"Perhaps I was wrong about you. Maybe you are capable of defeating Nemesis," she commented.

Sandra narrowed her eyes, hiding how tired she felt. "Now tell me who the killer is!" she demanded.

Lady Shadow shook her head. "I can't."

"We made a deal!" Sandra snapped, rage rising inside her.

"You can't always hold people to their promises," Lady Shadow said, calmly, making Sandra's anger rise even more. "I will tell you this: the killer is planning to kill again. Now I must go and find the lost Legendary Blader of the four seasons before the killer gets him on their side." With that Lady Shadow leaped away like a ninja. Sandra glared at the spot that she had last seen Lady Shadow, but her exhaustion soon got the better of her and she began to wobble. Before she could fall, Sora stabilized her. Sandra cast a her a grateful glance.

"Thanks Sora," she said.

"Anytime," Sora replied. "What was that all about?"

"Let's head to the next checkpoint. I'll tell you on the way," Sandra promised. The two began to head into the tunnel, Sora helping Sandra along the way.
