First, I must apologize for not updating this sooner. I've been getting into this show that I love to watch and I can't seem to stop watching it. I'm so sorry for not updating. I will try harder.
Also, I think I am done taking OCs. I don't know where else I can get them in but the tournament and I'm already getting tired of the tournament. If you have already submitted an OC then I will be using them, but as of now, I am no longer taking any more.
Anyway, on with the story!
Sandra walked through the tunnel with Sora right beside her. She was recovering a little from the previous battle but she was still tired. She wondered how long she'd be able to keep going before she was too tired to go on. She knew that she still wouldn't feel like herself, but she would take what she could get. She wasn't going to stop battling no matter how she felt, though. Of course you won't. Kyoya would want you to keep going, she thought.
Sandra began to think about Kyoya again, hoping he was alright and that he wasn't worrying about her too much. She couldn't wait till the tournament was over and they could go and look for him. The only problem was that she had no idea where he was. Please Kyoya. Be safe.
"Sandra!" Sora's voice snapped Sandra out of her thoughts and back to reality. "The next checkpoint is up ahead." She paused for a moment, studying Sandra before asking, "Are you alright?"
"Of course. Why wouldn't I be?" Sandra answered. She then held up her hand to stop Sora's protest. "Don't answer that." Sandra knew very well why she wasn't alright.
Sora was silent until the reached the next checkpoint. Sandra was surprised to see Rex waiting with another boy that seemed similar to Benkei. Rex looked pleased that she was his next opponent. "We'll see if you're strong enough to wield that bey," he said.
Sandra looked at the other boy. "Who's he?"
"The name's Pence," the boy answered. (He looks like the Pence from Kingdom Hearts, so please look up a picture because I'm a little lazy at the moment. Sorry)
Rex pulled out his launcher. "Let's see what you're made of!" Sandra aimed her launcher and took a deep breath. Just try to beat him without using too much energy.
"3!"
"2!"
"1!"
"Let it rip!"
"Go Tyrannosaur!" Rex's bey clashed with Leone, knocking Leone backward a little.
"Not wasting time," Sandra commented. "Leone!" Leone recovered and knocked Tyrannosaur back. Leone then hit Tyrannosaur again and again. "Yeah! Just like that!"
"You thing that'll beat me? Ha!" Rex laughed. "You'll have to do a lot better than that to beat the King of Dinosaurs!"
An image of Kyoya flashed in Sandra's mind, distracting her for a moment and allowing Tyrannosaur to knock Leone back again. Sandra pushed all thoughts of Kyoya to the back of her mind. Focus Sandra! Focus!
"Try again, Leone! Don't stop!" Sandra shouted. Leone began hitting Tyrannosaur with more attacks.
"Nobody can overpower Tyrannosaur!" Rex exclaimed as Tyrannosaur began to meet Leone's attacks, slowly knocking it off balance.
"Tauros! Go Rex!" Pence cheered.
Sandra stood frozen. Thoughts of Kyoya filled her mind and she couldn't concentrate. The way Rex battled was just like Kyoya. He showed no mercy and wouldn't give up until he had crushed his opponent. And the way Pence cheered for Rex reminded Sandra of how Benkei always cheered for Kyoya. Sandra's worry resurfaced and she couldn't seem to push it out of her mind. What's wrong with you, Sandra? Why can't you focus?
"Oh no!" Sora exclaimed. Sandra looked up to see Leone had been knocked into the air.
"It's all over!" Rex said with a look of triumph in his eyes.
"Do it now, Leone! Special Move!" Sandra exclaimed before she even knew what she was doing. "Crushing Tornado!"
Leone circled back around, engulfed in a tornado and crashed into Tyrannosaur, defeating it. Rex looked shocked.
"Rex lost?" Pence said in disbelief.
Rex growled with frustration before turning away from them all. "I went easy on you! Next time you won't be so lucky!"
"Are you ok, Sandra?" Sora asked.
"Yeah, fine," Sandra lied. "Let's go." She walked toward the new tunnel, not wanting to talk to anyone right now. She could hear three sets of foot steps behind her as the tunnel's darkness engulfed her.
Well, I hope you liked this guys. We have several more battles in the tournament before we get out of it. Again, really sorry for not updating sooner.
Please R&R :)
