Hey, guys. Just to let you know, I have already gotten a few people into this story, since you should know. I have one other to introduce, and I'm stopping the intros. I'm not adding anyone else, and THANK YOU so much to those of you who chose to do it (Evangeline Pond, Guest, awesomefangirl30, TarmiGirlYoutube, and Th3Ph4nt0miz3r)! I will be having SO much fun with this chapter!

Erika's P.O.V.

I woke up the next morning with a headache. Well, I wouldn't say morning. It was 2 in the afternoon.

After I had rubbed my eyes, letting my eyeballs look around, I realized I was in my room. Last thing I remember was sitting at the kitchen table, listening to Honey and Gogo drone on and on about something, I don't remember that part. I must've fallen asleep waiting for Hiro.

"Hiro!" I exclaimed, sitting up with a jolt. A mass beside me jumped, promptly falling out of the bed and onto the floor. I quickly leaned over the side of the bed, trying to see if he was hurt.

"Ow," the lump said, sitting up. I couldn't see their face yet, but the hair pretty much gave it away.

"Are you okay?" I asked, kneeling beside him.

"Yeah," he said.

"How're the, uh, injuries?" I asked, helping Hiro to sit on the bed.

"They're fine." Hiro rubbed his back, luckily in a spot the bandages weren't.

"Good." I said, tossing the scattered sheets back onto my bed. A loud THUMP caught my attention.

My phone had fallen on the floor. I bent down to pick it up, my back and legs screaming in protest. I didn't realize I had overworked them, but I guess I had. I turned on my phone, and three messages from my friends shown across the screen.

"Shit." I whispered, quickly covering my mouth. I normally never cursed, unless I was really mad our just really out of it. This time, I guess I was in trouble.

I quickly typed back to each of them: Sorry I haven't responded lately. I've been a little caught up in things. U should come over. We could all have a sleepover!

As I hit send, Hiro came up behind me, looking at the phone over my shoulder. "What?" I asked.

"Just curious." Hiro said, pulling his phone out of his pocket. I didn't even know he had one.

"What are you doing?" I asked, mimicking his actions by resting my chin on his shoulder, reading the screen.

He didn't have a password. He probably couldn't remember it through all this. And whatever was going on back in his world while he was here. As he reached the home screen, a little reminder popped up.

20% Battery Life Left

He smacked his forehead, turning off the phone. He slid it into his pocket saying, "I should have charged it before we came here."

"Came here?" I asked, perplexed. "You didn't mean to come here. You simply hit the wrong button, right? You didn't know you were going to come here."

Hiro nodded. "But I still should've charged it the night before."

I shrugged. Apparently, Hiro liked winning arguments, and this one was no exception. Hurt or not, Hiro was still Hiro.

My phone dinged, signaling that I had a message. Before I could pull my phone from my pocket, it dinged twice more.

As I pulled out my phone, the lock screen was already pulled up and flashing, three texts showing on my screen. I entered my code, and it took me to the page one of the texts were on.

Sure! What time? Amity had texted. Dante can bring me over in his new car.

Eva had said, Sounds cool. Time?

Rose had simply sent me a thumbs up emoji, with a smiley face afterwards. Then, without waiting, she sent me another one.

My cousin Amelia is over. Can she come too? She isn't much younger than us. 13 yrs. I need the time too.

I sighed. My mom never let me do this on school nights. I looked over at my calendar. Actually, it was Saturday! I guess my mom had simply taken off work. I'm not sure why, though.

I practically screamed with joy, without the screaming part. I wasn't going to be responsibly for anyone to be woken up.

Hiro sighed, amused. "What is it now?"

"We're going to have a sleepover!" I said, smiling so wide my cheeks hurt.

He looked confused. "Why?"

"Because I want you to meet my friends!" I said, laughing. "I'm not the only kid out there who is practically in love with you . . ." I trailed off, but realized what I had said. " . . . 're movie."

Hiro shook his head at the ground. Then, he brought his mouth next to my ear.

"Nice save. But I know what you meant," he said, walking to the door. He gave me one last glance, laughing quietly at my reddened face. I could see it in my mirror.

"Erika?" Hiro called from down the hallway.

"What?" I called back, putting my phone in my pocket. I needed to ask my mom what time they could come over whenever in the world she got up.

"Can you come here?" He asked, slight agitation apparent in his voice. I groaned, pretending.

"Too much work," I complained, chuckling as I drug myself down the hallway. Hiro was in the middle of the living room, staring out the sliding glass door.

Hiro motioned for me to come closer. As I did, I looked outside. It was raining, and I couldn't see anything past 3 feet from the door.

"This is the worst rain we've ever gotten here," I said, surprised.

"If so, where do you keep your candles?" Hiro asked, stepping away from the door.

"Um, in the closet. Right there." I pointed to a small door in the corner of the room, and Hiro opened it.

He turned back to me. "They're not in there. Are you sure this is where they are?"

I took my own turn, looking through the closet from top to bottom. I huffed when I found there were none.

"Maybe your mom moved them?" Hiro asked. He looked amused, but quickly hid it as I stood back up from searching the bottom shelf again.

"She would've told me." I thought out loud. I jumped as thunder rumbled, lightning quickly following.

Hiro shut the closet door, and we both started looking for possible places my mom could've put them.

I figured we could split up, and Hiro told me that I should look in my own room. What are the chance my mom would have hid them in MY room?

But I went, searching in my closet, my drawers, even my dresser. I screamed this time as lightning lit up the whole room from the window in the hallway. The window didn't break, thank God. But Hiro did come running. He came into my room, and as he saw I wasn't hurt, just scared, he relaxed. But only a little. He helped me search the rest of my room, and as we went to walk out of the room to search other rooms, the door slammed shut in front of us. Then, my worst nightmare came true.

The lights went out.
