Hey Readers! I know its been awhile... a couple years actually...
Well my excuse is writers block/ I knew nothing about pregnancies but lucky for me my sister got pregnant 7 months ago so now I know a little bit more about how to write a pregnant girls story! YAY!
Also I didn't want to post this chapter without the next chapter because of how it ends and I got stuck for a long long long time.
I hope you guys enjoy my update. Hopefully it wont take me as long to write the end of this!
Chapter 9: Wedding Details
"There's so much to do in so little time Kyouya!" Haruhi screamed in frustration. "I don't want to get married like this! I don't want to get married next month! I don't want to marry you!" Okay that one hurt.
"Haruhi… I'm sorry…" I said reaching over and grabbing her hand. We were at my kitchen table surrounded by cake samples and napkin colors and flower catalogs. "I'm sorry, if you really don't want this then I can tell father the truth, we don't have to get married. You don't have to marry me."
"No, Kyouya… that's not what I meant…" She looked over at me with those sad brown eyes. "I never imagined it like this… I wanted to get married after law school, start my family when I'm financially secure. And this is just happening so fast… I just wish… I wish I hadn't been an idiot, I wish I had never dated that idiot, I just wish-" she stopped abruptly and her eyes widened.
"What is it? What's wrong? Is there something wrong with the baby?" I asked. But she just laughed at me.
"No, Kyouya. He kicked," she said smiling. A smile I hadn't seen all day. "Here, feel." She took that hand I was holding her's with and placed it on the left side of her stomach. Not even a minute later I felt a little kick against my hand. "He likes you, you know," she said looking at me with this little smile.
"What do you mean? He doesn't even know me."
"I just have a feeling, he's likes when you're around just as much as I do. He always starts moving around when you're talking," she said smiling. I just smiled back not really understanding what she meant by that.
"Well… how about this Haruhi. We have two weddings, the one of my fathers dreams; big, fancy, expensive, exactly what the press wants. Then we can get married the way you want later when everything has settled. How does that sounds? I know it's not exactly what you want but its something." I asked her while I grabbed her hand. I wanted her to be happy, that was what I had always wanted, why I was in this mess to begin with, I wanted her to be happy and taken care of.
"Well… it's not perfect but I think that's okay," she paused and looked back at the samples on the table. "So we'll pick what you think is best for the media and then I'll have time to make decisions about our real wedding…" our real wedding, she had said our. I knew it was ours, I knew I was marrying her, I knew I had proposed to her but a shot of happiness hit me when she said it. I was always worried I was pushing her into things, that she didn't love me, that she was only doing this so that she wouldn't be alone but every time she said our wedding it made me smile.
"I'll call my sister," I said to her pushing the samples of napkins out of the way and moving the cake samples closer to her. "She's already had a media wedding with her husband so she can help us pick exactly what father wants, just worry about the cake."
I got up to call my sister while Haruhi stared tasting cakes. She mood had almost completely changed; I knew the wedding was stressful on her. With her already being four months pregnant and starting to show the wedding was on Friday, just 5 days away. It had been two weeks since I proposed to her at the beach house and only half the wedding was planned. As soon as I was off the phone with my sister we were going to go to the twin house for another dress fitting. With her ever-growing stomach we had a dress fitting every day this week just incase. The twins and their mother had made the dress for Haruhi, and though I haven't seen it, I heard they did a fantastic job hiding her baby bump.
I walked back into the dinning room after the phone call, my sister was more then happy to help, really she was ecstatic in an almost Tamaki like way. Haruhi was still tasting the cakes, there were at least 30 different samples on the table, and it looked like she narrowed it down to three.
"Here try these three, you have a say as much as I do you know," she said gesturing for me to come over. I internally sighed, I was not a big sweets fan but I would help her choose. I looked at the three choices, chocolate on chocolate, white on white and white cake with strawberries, this would be easy, I didn't even have to try them.
"Why don't we just go with the straw berry one, it is your favorite after all," I said ready to move on to the next task.
"Well… it is … but I want to know what your favorite is, why don't you try them? Please?" She said giving me puppy dog eyes.
I rolled my eyes at her, "I'm not really a sweets kind of guy, whatever your favorite is will be fine."
"Oh come on Kyouya, you'll have to eat some too so you might as well pick your favorite."
I sighed, "If you insist." I picked up the fork for the chocolate cake and took a bite, too sweet! I took a bite of the white cake, still to sweet. Finally I took a bite of the final cake and realized it was white chocolate and strawberries, it was still sweet but I didn't want to puke. "The last one is fine," I said to her. Was this really necessary? We did have a schedule to maintain.
"Are you sure?" she asked taking the fork from me. "Why don't you take another bite?" I raised my eyebrow at her. What was she up to?
She pushed the fork towards my mouth and rolled my eyes as I opened my mouth like a child. Then, she missed, and put whipped cream all other my nose. "Haruhi?!"
She giggled at me "Yes?"
"You did that on purpose" I said going to wipe it of with a napkin but she stopped me.
"Of course I did, that way I could do this," she said standing on her tip toes to kiss the whipped cream off my nose. I shook my head at her and chuckled, at least her being silly meant she was happy, even for a moment. I captured her in a hug and pulled her into kiss tasting the whipped cream and strawberries on her lips. I let the kiss last as long as she wanted never pushing my boundaries with her. Part of me was ready, more than ready, to take her and lead her to my room but I knew I couldn't, and that I shouldn't so I let everything I was feeling come out in my kissing. I heard her moan when I nibbled on her bottom lip and then she pulled away.
"Oh Kyouya…." She sighed breathing heavy. She opened her eyes and cupped my cheek in her hand. "Kyouya Ootori, I love you" I couldn't help but let a smile spread across my face. "Kyouya, I love you and I am glad you proposed, I am happy to marry you. I hope you know I'm not doing this because I don't want to be alone. I hope you know I'm doing this because you want this and I love you and if I didn't I wouldn't have said yes. I would have told your father the truth. I've been so self centered lately, I just want to make sure you know I love you and I'm here for you too. I hope you know you never have to be alone either," she said finishing off with a kiss.
I deepened the kiss and picked her up spinning her in a circle, a very un-Kyouya like thing to do, but I didn't care. Haruhi had said she loved me, she wanted to marry me!
"eh-em!" I heard my father cough from the doorway. "Kyouya, my son, my wonderful, smart, charming son… what does Ms. Haruhi mean by tell me the truth?"
