Daphne's POV

I now know everything. I'm pretty sure my dad thought it would sway me and pull me away from hunting but to be honest it makes me want to do it more. I am to entrenched in it not to get more involved. I wake up with a slight hang over and see Uncle Cas sleeping on side and Balthazar staring at the ceiling on the other side. He tilts his head and smiles at me. "Good morning, you feeling ok?"

"Feel like a train wreck but I'm fine." I respond quickly and he frowns. He reaches out and touches my forehead erasing my hang over. "I'm sorry Daphne, I know I should have told you about everything a long time ago."

"Damn straight you should have!" I scream at him jumping up from the bed. Uncle Cas wakes up with me outburst and looks around confused. He notices that Balthazar and I are both awake and looks between us and gives me an awkward grin. "Well I am going to let you two talk about this. I'll see you both later." And he disappears.

A part of me wants to just push this under the rug and pretend it never happened but the stronger part of me wants to get this fight over and done with. ""What the fuck else are you keeping from me?" I continue my rant.

Balthazar lets out a sigh and scrubs his face with his hands. "Daph I can promise you that there is nothing else about your life here that I have not told you. I am sorry for the deception but it was not my place to over step your parents rules."

"Oh don't you Daph me B-zar! You could have opened your mouth at any time. We have never kept secrets from each other before not ever! You should have told me." I huff out throwing myself on an oversized chair on the other side of the room.

"I know that Daphne and I am sorry. I should have told you and I wish I had but I didn't. A part of me regrets its and another part of me is glad that you didn't have this stress your entire life." It's no fun to fight when he won't fight back.

We sit in silence for moment before I start again. "Why didn't you tell me about your grace being in me? Uncle Cas says that a major no no and that we could get in trouble for that. He didn't say it but I could tell he meant we could die for it."

Balthazar runs to my side and knells in front of the chair still in his blue footed pjs that makes me want to laugh a bit. "I promise you that I will never let anything happen to you because of that. I will keep you safe if it kills me Daph. I had to do that though to keep you safe. I know I should have told you but I am not your parents and I didn't have the right."

I hit him upside the head and gives me a indigent scowl. "You are my guardian angel B-zar so I think you have the right to tell me that you left a part of your grace in me. Not only that you are my best friend. Do you know how much it hurts to know you kept this from me? With my parents and even my brothers I get it but from you well I just thought you would always tell me everything."

Whiney much Winchester? I know I sound like a petulant child but I don't care. Balthazar stands and lifts me up pulling me down into his lap and I lean into his chest and let out a sigh. This feels so familiar must have been from when I was younger. "No amount of apologizing will ever make this right but I promise I will not keep things about your life here from you again. It was wrong and you are right, as your guardian and best friend I should have told you."

"Well as long as you realize that." I huff out snuggling into him a bit while his arms come around me and hold me to him. We sit like that for awhile in silence before I start to move. "You might as well take me home I bet mom and dad are freaking out at this point."

Balthazar laughs and I shoot him a look. "I doubt they are out of bed yet. They were at it most of the night."

"Ew, those are my parents!" I snap at him hitting in the stomach. He keeps laughing while he puts his arm around me and we land in my parents kitchen. My dad never adjusted to traveling like this but I have been doing so since I was baby and don't mind it. I notice he put me back in my clothes from last night and he's back in his normal v neck and jeans. He used to wear a god damned blazer too but I told him he needed to go more casual than that.

It's obvious mom and dad don't know I'm here yet because mom is cooking at the stove and dad has his arms wrapped around her and his kissing her neck. "I'm back." I say trying to keep them from going any further than they already are.

Dad jumps back and mom flashes him a smile and continues cooking. "You feeling better honey?" She asks not turning around.

"I'm not completely happy about all this but I am better." I respond not wanting to go into it again. Dad come around the counter and pulls me into a hug and kisses my forehead. "We were just doing what we thought was best honey. We never meant to hurt or upset you."

I let my dad hold me a bit more. "I know you didn't dad but you did." I state. He hugs me tight against him and then lets me go.

"So what now?" He asks me. I know what he means . Do I hunt? Do I not? I look at Balthazar and one look from him says he'll do whatever I want. "I know this isn't the kind of life you want for me but it's what I want. I am not a child any longer and I will have Balthazar with me at all times. I know this is what I am meant for so please just support me."

The kitchen is silent except for the food my mom is cooking on the stove. My dad takes in a deep breath and lets it out slowly. "If this is what you really want then I can't stop you. I know you are trained and you have a great back up but honey at anytime you need us you call us. If at any time you want out you get out."

I run over and hug my dad again. "Thanks daddy." I whisper. I was going to do it with or without their approval but it's better to have it. My mom comes over to us and pulls us both into a hug. "Your dad is right Daphne. If you ever need us you call us and we will be there as quick as you can. I know you know what you are doing but it's dangerous out there. I am glad that you will have an angel with you at least."

Balthazar moves over to us and I move back to stand next to him. "I promise I will keep your daughter safe with my life if that it takes."

Dad gives my guardian a dark look. "You better because I am pretty sure I have a bottle of holy oil in storage somewhere if you don't." He growls out. Mom hits him with the spatula and feigns pain. "Dean you know that Balthazar will keep her safe keep your threats to yourself.

When mom goes back to cooking dad looks at Balthazar and lifts his pointer and middle finger to his eyes and points to Balthazar and mouths. "I'm watching you." With a smile at the end. Balthazar just rolls his eyes and stifles a laugh.

Of all the angels dad and Balthazar have the strangest relationship. Uncle Cas is dad's best friend after mom and Uncle Sammy of course. Uncle Gabe is like an uncle figure even to dad but with Balthazar they are like two teenagers who love to pick on each other but secretly trust each other. I remember when I was a little girl my mom found me crying once in my room because I thought dad hated Balthazar but she just smiled and told me that they have a strange friendship but that they like each other just fine.

"Daphne, can you come with me to the garage real quick?" Dad asks me kissing mom one more time. Mom just smiles at me and ushers me out the door. Dad grabs his keys out of his pocket and unlocks the trunk to his baby and lifts the fake bottom. It's still filled with all of his hunting gear. He may not hunt full time anymore but it always keeps his gear stocked, fresh, and ready.

"Honey I want you to take my baby with you." Dad tells me. I take a moment to rethink about what he just said. There is no way that is what he just said. "Um, hey dad, can you humor me and repeat that."

The sound of my dad's laugh fills the garage and he just smiles at me put and puts his arm around my shoulders. "Baby is meant to be hunting not sitting in my garage waiting to go to the garage and back. I want you to take her with you. She is already protected from just about everything out there and she is set and ready to go."

There's a ninety percent chance that my jaw is hanging wide open but I am in too much shock to notice. I do the only thing I can think to do and this is to hug my dad tightly. "Are you serious?" I squeak out. He chuckles and kisses the top of my head. "Yes Daph, she kept your uncle Sammy and me safe for our entire lives and now it's time for her to keep you safe. Just don't let Balthazar douche it up."

I hug my dad tighter and grab the keys jumping into the front seat. I quickly adjust it to fit me since I am shorter than my dad and smile at him. "Don't worry I won't let him do anything bad to her. I will take good care of her don't worry."

"More importantly she will take good care of you. She will be in charge of taking care of my little girl after all. Nothing is more precious than that." Dad can be so mushy sometimes even though he will never admit it.

"Does mom know?" I ask him not sure what mom will think about this. She oddly loves the car just as much. I get it better now. It was the first place she went after getting broken out of the body farm. Dad shakes his head yes. "I told her last night and she approved as long as we get visitation rights." He says with an eye wiggle.

"Eww dad!" I shout out jumping out of the car like it has cuddies and hit him lightly. He just laughs and jumps out of the way. Once we calm down and I grab him in another hug. "Thanks Dad." I tell him softly. He holds me tighter and I know he is saying goodbye to Daphne his little girl and getting ready to accept me as an adult and a hunter.
