Episode 9:

[It is a month later. Forta is crouched in the tall grass. She has all iron armor on except her helmet is made of diamond. She is holding her bow which is now decorated with a single feather that was dipped in red dye. She stalks a pig who does not suspect her. She aims her bow at the pig's behind and draws it back. She waits for the right moment, and then let's it go, hitting the pig. It dies with a squeal. Forta stands up and collects the meat. Aina comes up from behind her.]

Aina: "Good job."

Forta: "Thanks. It's good luck these pigs have gone into mating season."

Aina: "Without it, we may have died if they didn't."

Forta: "We still may. We now have food for the next 2 weeks, but if we keep up with finding about 10 pieces of meat a day, we should be fine."

[They start to walk in the hot sun of that day through the meadow, looking around for more animals.]

Aina: "At least we don't all have to hunt anymore. It's great that Kiki and Nevin get along so well with Steve."

Forta: "Yeah…"

Aina: "Did something happen between you two? You seem to be cold and distant to him for quite some time."

Forta: "Well… he kissed me before he went to sleep the night I tried to eat rotten zombie meat. I tried to talk to him about it, but he just told me to not speak of it."

Aina: "Why would he say that?"

Forta: "I don't know."

Aina: "What did you want to say to him as a response?"

Forta: "I wanted to tell him...I don't know what."

[The air is silent, they continue to walk through the forest.]

Scene 2:

[Steve is sitting in silence on a hill by the river that Forta and Steve has crossed to get to the camp for the first time, squinting in the afternoon sun. He looks around and then picks a poppy next to him, adding it to his fist already full of poppies. He stands up and starts walking to a nearby stand alone tree. This is where Shiko had stood as he made Forta and Steve empty out their pockets when they first met. He looks around, admiring the view of the river flowing next to the poppies that dotted the hill. Steve turns away from the river and walks up the hill, towards the camp.]

Scene 3:

[Forta and Aina are just taking off their armor and putting their weapons away when Steve comes back to the camp. He makes his way to the structure where Aina and Forta are under the roof. He stand outside the structure looking in at the two.]

Steve: "Good afternoon."

Forta: "You get anything?"

Steve: "A few seeds, caught a pig or two, not much."

Forta: [smiling] "What were you doing out there, messing around?"

Steve: "I got you these."

[Steve shows Forta the bunch of poppies he picked up. Aina sees them and quickly leaves to give them privacy.]

Forta: "Oh."

Steve: "I thought you might like them."

[Steve hands Forta the flowers. She takes them and smiles. She blushes slightly but looks down at the poppies to hide her cheeks.]

Forta: "Thank you Steve. I don't know what to say."

Steve: "I know I freaked you out when I kissed you that night. I felt so embarrassed I couldn't even talk about it. If you feel uncomfortable with me, you can move out or whatever. I don't want to make you uncomfortable."

Forta: "You don't make me uncomfortable."

Steve: "I don't?"

Forta: "No...you make me quite comfortable."

[Forta smiles at Steve and he does the same to her.]

Steve: "Heh, I had no idea."

Forta: "Well if you had let me talk then maybe I could have told you how happy you make me."

[Steve's smile widnes but he tries to calm it down.]

Steve: "Of course I messed something up."

[Forta leans over the low wall of the structure and plants a kiss on Steve's cheek.]

Forta: "Shut up. You didn't mess anything up."

[Forta puts the poppies on the wall and continues to take her armored leggings off and putting her bow and arrows in a chest.]

Steve: "So you like me?"

Forta: "Yeah, did that really need clarification?"

Steve: "Just making sure."

Forta: "I'v saved your life enough times that you should know I want you alive and not dead."

Steve: "Yeah but I'd save Shiko's life and I wouldn't want to kiss him."

[Forta is done putting things away. She walks around the wall of the structure and stands in front of Steve.]

Forta: "Well I want to kiss you."

[Forta plants a kiss on Steve's lips.]

Kiki and Nevin: "EWWWWWWW!"

[Kiki and Nevin were hiding behind Forta and Steve's house.]

[Forta laughs a bit and Steve snickers.]

Forta: "Ew yourselves!"

[Kiki and Nevin run off towards Aina's house. Forta turns back to Steve.]

Steve: "Sooooo…"

Forta: "Sooooooooooo…."

[There is an awkward silence and Steve clears his throat.]

Forta: "How long have you liked me anyways?"

[Steve shrugs.]

Steve: "A while. I guess once we got here I started really developing feelings for you."

[Forta nods, lost in thought.]

Aina: "Steve! Forta! Come here!"

[Steve and Forta run over to Aina's house and go inside.]

Scene 4:

[Aina's house is one room. There is a bed right by the door with the head towards the bed, next to the wall. On the back wall there is another two beds, with the head of one touching the foot of another. Then on the left wall, there is large chest and a crafting table. Kiki is sitting on her bed and Nevin on his (the ones on the back wall). Aina is on her knees tending to something on Kiki's arm.]

Forta: "What happened?"

Kiki: "NEVIN TRIPPED ME!"

Nevin: "DID NOT!"

Aina: "Shush. The both of you."

[Kiki and Nevin are surprised by Aina's sudden harshness. Aina stands up after wrapping Kiki's arm in cloth. She turns to Steve and Forta and puts one finger to her mouth. She leads them out of the house and to a hole in the ground. She points inside of it. Forta and Steve strain to look down and see only a couple meters down, a red box with the letters 'TNT' written on them. Forta looks up at Aina in shock. She starts to breath heavily, confused about why it would be there. She takes another look down to see that there is a whole cavern under the camp, completely covered in TNT. Steve pokes his head in the hole, which has just enough space to allow that. Forta sits next to the hole, staring inside at the tons of TNT. They are silent as they can hear Boris barking at Kiki and Nevin.]

Kiki: "Boris shushhhhhh!"

Nevin: "Boris get her! She's got the treasure!"

[The adults are silent as they stare at in the face of death. The children, blissfully unaware that all this time, they were only a lever pull away from the end of their lives. Forta racked her brain, trying to figure out where it had come from. Aina taps Forta who is snapped out of her trance. Steve and Forta watch as Aina points to Kreten's house, and then to the TNT. It was now painfully clear that Kreten had done this. He had the death switch and they all knew it.]

Scene 5:

[Forta and Steve sit silently on their porch, eating bread and chicken as the sun goes down. They have been silent for that last hour, since they realized what Kreten had done. They watch from a distance as Aina does the same routine with Shiko, pointing out the hole a meter or so from Shiko's house. Forta takes a bite of chicken.]

Steve: "So Kreten had control this whole time. He could have killed us at any time."

Forta: "I guess."

Steve: "Do you think Aina knew about this before and decided that Kiki tripping over the hole was just an excuse?"

Forta: "I don't know. Maybe she was trying to communicate that we needed to escape."

Steve: "What do you mean?"

Forta: "The night she showed us the green on the horizon. She was trying to make a boat. She wanted to go there, with us. She was trying to get us to figure out how to make a boat."

[Steve thinks for a moment, staring at the ground in front him. He finally turns to Forta.]

Steve: "Maybe we should then."

[Forta nods]

Forta: "Tonight. Don't tell the others, we will wake them when it's time and let them get ready."

Steve: "We need to know how to make a boat though."

Forta: "I already did."

[Steve stares at Forta.}

Steve: "You sure are smart."

Forta: "I try."

[Steve smiles a bit at her, but Forta seems sad and defeated.]

Steve: "Are you ok?"

Forta: "No. I failed to protect you guys. This entire time you could have been dead."

Steve: "You didn't know. Don't blame yourself."

Forta: "I'm so fucking stupid. Kreten has some sort of fucking magic and I expected him to just let us live. Of course he was planning this all along."

Steve: "Hey [he puts an arm around her]stop. You're amazing, just because you didn't know one thing, doesn't make you a bad person."

Forta: "But I want you to be safe."

Steve: "I want you to be safe too."

[They hold each other and Steve plants a kiss on top of her head.]

Steve: "It'll be ok."

Scene 6:

[Forta and Steve's house. Forta and Steve are grabbing things from their chest, both dressed in iron armor with gold swords. They have everything they own. Forta picks up Oda and the two creep out their house. But once they get out, Kreten is standing there, at the bottom of the porch.]

Kreten: "Well hello you two."

Forta: "Kreten I-"

Kreten: "Shush. Come here, both of you."

[The two slowly walk towards him. They are now all on the grass in front of the house.]

Kreten: "Interesting plan you two had. I knew I should have covered that TNT more. But oh well, the important thing is you two were too stupid to shut up about your plans."

Forta: "Wha-"

Kreten: "Ah Aina must have gotten you two to be quiet that night she showed you the green on the horizon. She made you quiet for a reason."

[Kreten swiftly pushes Steve down. He falls on his back and is in pain.]

Forta: "ASSHOLE!"

[Forta starts to help Steve up , but she suddenly disappears.]

Steve: "Forta! WHAT THE FUCK?"

[Kreten giggles.]

Kreten: "Get up."

[Steve gets up and stares with hate in his eyes at Kreten. Kreten takes out a diamond sword and escorts Steve out of the camp, pushing him to the ground again once they got out.]

Kreten: "You should start running bitch."

[Steve gets up as Kreten throws colored eggs on the ground. He laughs as zombie pigmen spawn all around him and start to chase Steve.]

Steve: "FUCK!"

[Steve turns away from the camp, and runs as fast as he can.]
