Episode 11:
[Atimai is sitting eating a second breakfast in the dining room of bread and an egg when Shiko walks in. He smiles awkwardly at her and she stares blankly back at him.]
Shiko: "May I sit with you?"
Atimai: "I guess."
[Atimai places a hand on her stomach and rubs it. Shiko sits down next to her and takes a deep breath.]
Shiko: "Listen, this is awkward. This is really really awkward and weird. But I know that's my kid."
Atimai: "Couldn't be anyone else's. Unless Fraus raped me in my sleep, which I wouldn't be surprised if he did."
Shiko: "Yeah he's an asshole. But the point is we don't really know each other very well, but I got you pregnant. Which means I should step up and be hands on with raising this kid."
Atimai: "I think you mean hand on."
Shiko: "What?"
[Atimai points at Shiko's one arm leaning on the table.]
Atimai: "Hand. You only have one."
[Atimai starts to laugh and Shiko rolls his eyes. Shiko starts to chuckle.]
Shiko: "Ha ha very funny. You weren't complaining when I got hand on with you."
Atimai: "Gotta admit, first time I had sex with a guy with one arm. It was...different."
Shiko: "I think the word you were looking for is amazing."
[Atimai cracks a big smile.]
Atimai: "I was drunk out of my mind I don't remember."
[Shiko laughs.]
Shiko: "I don't either."
Atimai: "Maybe we can be friends. Friends who raise a baby together."
[Shiko nods his head.]
Shiko: "How's the doctor?"
Atimai: "Very kind. Kind of a downer though. She lost her baby in child birth so she can get sad during our check-ups."
Shiko: "Fun. At least you aren't a recovering alcoholic."
Atimai: "At least your ex-boss didn't almost sexually assault you."
Shiko: "At least your first love didn't die in a firey explosion set off by a sociopathic killer."
[Atimai stares at Shiko with an almost scared look.]
Shiko: "Too much?"
Atimai: "I'm sorry. I didn't realize."
Shiko: "Hey, how were you suppose to know?"
Atimai: "My first love was a lovely person. But Fraus had her killed and took me from my home."
Shiko: "What was he like?"
Atimai: "They didn't like to be called by a gender."
Shiko: "What?"
Atimai: "They said they wanted to be gender-less. Didn't matter Senku Sha was the most beautiful person I knew. Killed so young, all because I loved them."
[Shiko stares at Atimai who is now staring down at the table blankly. Shiko hugs Atimai.]
Scene 2:
[Forta sits in the meeting room with Steve, Qatil and Premi.]
Premi: "Do you think they have other people in here?"
Forta: "We spent hours interrogating our people. We haven't turned up anything. It's time we move on and plan this attack."
Steve: "We have no idea what this base is even like. We should have some soldiers scout it."
Forta: "You're right. First we will send a small team in to do a scouting report. Then we will have to figure it out from the report."
Qatil: "Maybe this time we shouldn't send a 14 year old girl."
Forta: "Nothing happened to her though!"
Qatil: "She witnessed you killing James. That's something."
Steve: "She hasn't left her father's side since."
[Forta gives Steve a dirty look. Steve gives back a nervous smile.]
Premi: "Look it wasn't the best decision but it could have been worse. At least now she knows the truth about war."
[Forta puts her head in her hands and groans. She suddenly stands up.]
Forta: "I don't feel so good."
[Forta quickly walks out of the room clutching her mouth. Steve stares at her leaving with wide eyes and concern on his face.]
Qatil: "What's wrong with her?"
Steve: "She had to eat some zombie meat for breakfast today."
Premi: "Why? Did no one tell her we had a surplus of steak this week?"
Steve: "Uh, I guess not."
[Steve shrugs and goes back to looking at the map where James had marked the base. Qatil and Premi exchange puzzled looks.]
Scene 3:
[Steve is in The City with his crossbow. He is walking down a road when he comes upon a man stuck in the middle of the road due to a broken leg.]
Steve: "Excuse me sir, are you alright?"
Man: "Get away from me son, I don't know who you are."
Steve: "No sir, I'm from the rebel army. I'm here to make sure you get medical care and get to safety."
[The man looks up at Steve from his seated position on the pavement. He looks skeptical. Steve shows him the inside of his brown jacket which has the official rebel army seal. It's a small stitched key with wings on it.]
Man: "Ah, the key to freedom. Clever insignia."
Steve: "Thanks, I didn't think it up though. Are you alright?"
Man: "Of course I'm alright! Just a broken leg."
Steve: "I know sarcasm when I hear it. How did you break it?"
Man: "When the war broke out I hid on a shed I kept on my roof. Every now and then looking out to make sure it was clear. But I was chicken and even when it was clear I would stay in. Finally I saw soldiers enter the house so I decided to escape. I couldn't go back inside the house so I jumped down. Lucky I only broke one leg, hobbled my way down here, gave up and a few hours later you're here."
Steve: "You must have been in that shed a long time. How did you survive?"
Man: "Lucky for me, we kept a stock of milk and wheat in there."
Steve: "Yeah you sure are lucky. C'mon, I'll take you to the medical center we have set up. It's not more than 5 blocks from here."
Man: "Thank you son, that means so much to me. Do you think my wife is there?"
Steve: "Possible, if we found her hurt when we did our first rounds after the attack she would have been taken there."
Man: "She wasn't home when it happened."
Steve: "I'll do my best to find her. Alright up ya go."
[Steve carefully helps the man up. Once standing, the man puts his left arm around Steve's shoulder and hops on his unbroken right leg.]
Scene 4:
[Premi and Qatil are standing in a hallway in the wall looking out a window that faces the inside of The City.]
Premi: "Maybe it's just the flu and she doesn't want to take the time off for her sickness at such a crucial point of the war."
Qatil: "No I'm positive this is what it is. It's obvious."
[Premi stares out the window and looks skeptical.]
Premi: "Don't you think you're jumping to conclusions a bit soon?"
Qatil: "No I'm positive. I'm absolutely positive."
Premi: "I doubt it."
Qatil: "I bet my breakfast on it."
[Premi laughs.]
Premi: "Alright if you're right I'll give you my breakfast, if you're wrong you have to give me yours."
[Qatil shakes Premi's hand and giggles.]
Qatil: "Deal."
[Just then a rebel general walks down the hall straight towards Qatil.]
General: "Qatil, the soldiers have returned from their investigation of the base."
Qatil: "Already? I sent that request 8 hours ago."
General: "Yes and they mapped out how to get from the entrance to Fraus' throne room there. They think the best way to do this is to kill Fraus and then attack. Like cutting the head off a chicken."
Qatil: "Exactly what I was thinking."
Premi: "But how will we do it unnoticed?"
General: "Vents. That's how they did it?"
Qatil: "They went to the throne room?"
General: "Yes m'am. They only observed through a vent though."
Qatil: "Wait what the fuck is a vent?"
General: "It's what they called these series of small tunnels in the cielings, they suspect it has to do with the air or temperature or something."
Qatil: "Premi, gather up the others. We have a final battle to plan."
Scene 5:
[Shiko is sitting with Forta in the meeting room. Forta has a hand on her belly and is drinking milk. Shiko has his head in his hands. He sighs, picks his head up and looks at Forta.]
Shiko: "So I wanted to tell you about the new addition to our little family."
Forta: "What do you mean?"
Shiko: "Atimai's child. I'm the father."
Forta: "You know Steve is bad at keeping secrets right?"
Shiko: "Fuck. Well I wanted to tell you."
Forta: "It's alright. We all do stupid shit. Some of us can't save our friends and others get strangers pregnant."
Shiko: "Hey, don't blame yourself for that. Anyways, I spoke to her and we'll be raising the kid together."
Forta: "Good. She's going to the check-ups?"
Shiko: "Yeah. But she said they can get depressing."
Forta: "They sure can."
Shiko: "I didn't know she did general check-ups."
Forta: "Oh uh, she doesn't."
Shiko: "Then why would you-"
Forta: "Shiko, I'm pregnant."
