Warning: The following contains LOTS of RinxMikuo fluff. It's part of the story, so please bear with me, 'kay? ;^;

Chapter 3: Interviewing the Power-Couple!

The room was silent, but not the eerie kind of silent that brought forth a bad feeling. It was a good kind of silent, the one where she could put her heels up on her desk and sink back in her office chair while reading the latest issue of Vocalia Magazine. Her red eyes scan over the cover page with increasing fury, and once she's done reading the short headline, she slams the magazine down in rage.

"WHAT?! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!"

Her infuriated wails were responded by a loud bang on the door, followed by the entrance of a certain partner. "Teto-chan! I heard you from the coffee room; what's wrong?"

The drill-pigtailed girl looked over at her colleague with anger and the slightest bit of disappointment. "It's terrible, Ted! Vocalia has beaten us to it! Oh, how could I have let such a scoop pass me by?"

Ted looked at his boss with worry filling his eyes. "I-I'm sorry? I don't think I understand..."

Teto Kasane threw the magazine in her hands right at Ted's face without a second thought. The startled boy fumbled with the issue before he grasped it clumsily in his hands as he read the main article's title aloud. "'Possible Rinkuo failure? The power couple tries yet again to make unstable relationship work'?"

"Yes, yes!" Teto jumped up from her chair and onto her desk. "How did they get such information before us? Unbelievable! I thought Defoko was in charge of FanxStar updates and Squeaks!"

The worried boy looked at his boss worriedly. "She is, but you've given her an extra week of time off because she 'wasn't getting enough sunshine', remember?"

Teto calmly sat back down to think over Ted's words before she snapped her fingers. "Ah! Baka me!" She looked at her partner with an excited gleam in her magenta eyes. "Well, Ted, you know what this means?"

Ted had to admit, he always got nervous whenever his boss got those kinds of looks in her eyes. "N-No..."

"It means," Teto slammed her hands on the table and gave off a determined look, "we will have to do double the work to notify people of how the date goes!"

Ted opened his mouth to say something along the lines of 'dating privacy' when Teto decided to continue. "Inform Momo, my dear Ted! We're having Italian food for dinner tonight!"

Azure eyes stare intently at the black and white clock on the wall as Len waits impatiently for the class to be over. His sister had sent him a text message saying she'd be waiting at home for him, and the want for seeing his sister again caused him to zone out a couple times during his classes (he never really paid attention anyway, so it didn't really matter). All he could do was just sit on his uncomfortable desk and tap his fingers against the wooden surface as he followed the second hand making its way onto the mighty twelve that marked the end of this period.

Which, by the way, was about ten whole minutes away.

"... not here, so a substitute will be taking my place tomorrow. But before you all celebrate, I've instructed him to pick up your homework, so don't go off thinking you got an extra day on that essay!"

Len rolled his eyes at the chorus of groans that erupted from the class. He had finished the assignment long ago, so it wasn't that big of a worry. Now, if only that second hand weren't taking so long to dismiss-

"Kagamine Len! Your teacher has asked you a question, and I find it disrespectful that you're not answering!"

The blonde nearly jumped from the sudden startle. "S-Sorry, Ann-sensei. Um... What was the question?"

He ignored his classmates' not-so-secret snickers as Ann repeated her earlier question, "I asked you if you've gotten any info off of Rin. Knowing you, you probably skipped the entire assignment-"

"I got five pages full of notes, though, I still don't get the point to this stupid assignment," Len angrily mutters the second half of his statement as Kaito shots up with an amazed look on his face.

"Are you serious?!" He exclaims, "I only got, like, a sticky-note full of notes! Rin-chan is so adorable, too. How did you not get distracted?"

Len thought that endless hours of talking about meaningless subjects was distracting enough; the notes he got were hard to come by.

Of course, it's not like he hadn't necessarily hated it or anything... In fact, it was kinda nice to get to know the young artist.

The blonde immediately shook his head, but that didn't stop the telltale blush that formed on his cheeks. Kaito noticed as such, of course, and immediately pointed it out. "You're a little pink there, Len. Had a good chat with Hibiki-san?"

"W-Whatever," Len glared as he shot back at Kaito, his slight blush still apparent, "how'd it go with you and Meiko, huh? Knowing what a failure of a playboy you are, she probably more than thinks you're an idiot."

"Playboy?" The boy winced. He certainly walked into that one. "If anyone's a 'playboy' it's you, Kagamine!"

Said teen was about to reply with a flip of his finger when Ms. Ann stopped the boys' little quarrel. "Guys! Now's not the time to be arguing about such things! If you have a problem with each other, kindly take it outside my classroom because I won't tolerate such behavior!"

Kaito hung his head down in shame and muttered a small apology, but Len said nothing as he slouched back down into his seat. He hadn't even realized he had gotten up in the first place...

Then, like a signal from heaven, the bell had rung.

The first one up and out of the classroom was Len. Fight totally forgotten, he flew down the stairs and waited impatiently for Piko to come out the school gates so they could walk home together. After waiting for nearly five minutes, he received a text message from his best friend in his phone:

Can't walk home today got practice see ya later

Usually Piko would use perfect grammar whenever he texted, so Len could right away tell that the boy was in a hurry. He didn't mind the message though and focused on getting home, the chance to see his sister again after so long fueling him as he ran the entire way.

Rin looked into her mirror in what must have been the hundredth time that very hour. Even as a model, she could never truly call herself beautiful whenever she looked at her reflection. Other people had praised her for her beauty all throughout her career, but thanks to personal experiences, she never really believed any of the compliments that came out of photographers' mouths. All she ever saw whenever she looked at herself were her flaws, which seemed to be countless in her mind. After all, who in the world would want to date someone with choppy, short blonde hair, stick legs, dull eyes, small lips, no curves, no chest, horrible smile, ridiculously childish bows-

A knock on her bedroom door snapped her from her negative thoughts. She forced herself to look away from the dreaded mirror as she opened the door to let her older sister, SeeU, inside. Once invited in, SeeU immediately gasps at Rin's appearance. "Oh, Rin-chan, you look so cute!"

There's that word again...

Rin gulps slightly as she tries to put on a genuine smile that SeeU seems to buy. "Thanks, onee-chan. I wanted to look good for my date with Kuo. I haven't seen him in so long..."

SeeU smiles giddily and jumps onto Rin's bed out of pure delight and amusement. "You guys are so close, I'm almost jealous! It's so cute how you can't spend too much time apart. I wish Seewoo was like that with me!" She stops her excitement as she looks towards Rin with a grave and serious expression. "Don't ever break up with him. You guys are together like 'for' is to 'ever'."

The older sister smiles when she sees Rin laughing at her small joke. "Of course, dear onee-chan. I have no plans of breaking up with him any time soon anyway."

SeeU's smile broadens at her little sister's words before she steps off the bed and takes Rin's hands into hers. "Now, listen. If he ever thinks about breaking up with you, leave it to the rest of the Hibiki siblings. That boy will think twice before ever daring to break your heart."

Rin knew that SeeU's words rang true. Last time some whore thought she could get her way with Rinto, the eldest sibling, Yohio, was the first to act as he led the rest of the brothers and sisters into action. The Hibiki siblings were probably the tightest family anyone could ever hope to become.

"I'll never forget," Rin finally says as she gives her sister a small hug. "Thanks, SeeU."

"Hey now, don't get all emotional on me. You know I got your back. Now," SeeU breaks the hug as she gives Rin a small, supportive pat on the back. "Go to your Romeo, Juliet."

Rin giggles a bit before heading out the door, feeling as if the entire world had just offered her a lifetime supply of oranges on a silver platter.

Ted groans as his head throbs from the earlier impact. "The things I do for you, Teto. Goddammit..."

Said girl brings her finger up to her lips in the universal 'shh' sign. "Shut up, do you wanna get us caught?"

"I don't even think this will work," Ted says as he brings himself up from the ground, "who's gonna believe this ridiculous disguise?"

"One of the employees bought it, didn't they?" Teto points out before pushing her teammate aside, causing him to swing his arms about so he could find his balance again. "They're here! Oh GOD, Rin-chan looks so freaking adorable today! Kya~ I gotta take a picture...!" She turns towards Ted, only to see him trying to work out his roller blades. "TED! CONCENTRATE HERE, WON'T YA?! WE HAVE PICTURES TO TAKE AND AN ARTICLE TO WRITE!"

The excited red-head doesn't even think twice before snatching the camera around her partner's neck and taking several pictures of the famous singer. While the Utaite* owner/publisher/reporter was busy snapping six pictures per second (which was, in a way, impressive), Ted decided it was best if he actually made himself useful by seeing if he could somehow be the pair's designated waiter. As he somewhat got the hang of his roller blades, the editor made his way towards Rin and Mikuo shakily. He really should have taken those skating lessons Teto had offered him a couple years back. Oh, how he regretted it now...

In any case, when Ted finally made it towards the two's secluded dining table (eating in such a public place and being a celebrity didn't really mix well), he took out a notepad and tried to act as if he really, truly worked at the Italian place by putting on a wide smile. "Hello~ My name's- uh..."

'Shit, I didn't think it this far!' Ted internally cried as he searched inside his brain for any believable names. The couple before him exchanged confused looks with each other until Mikuo cleared his throat to say, "Maybe looking at your name tag might help ya, Yoshida-san."

Ted would've face-palmed, but he feared that if he did so, the celebrity couple would think he was out of his mind. Instead, he simply looked at the name tag that had apparently come with his uniform and tried desperately to memorize the name for now. "Yeah, my name's Yoshida Katsuro. May I take your order?"

Rin smiled up at the waiter politely and folded her hands on top of her lap. "Yes, I'll just have some chicken alfredo; I don't really know most of these dishes." She took one more look at her opened menu before looking back up and ordering, "I'll also just like a simple lemonade."

Their 'waiter' quickly shot down the order in his notepad before looking over towards the young lady's date. "Anything for you, Hatsune-san?"

Mikuo blinked before he grinned at him in a nearly mischievous way. "Chicken alfredo for me as well, and water's fine."

When Ted finished writing down their orders, he excused himself politely and headed towards the kitchen, but stopped by Teto's hiding place to give her his information. The reporter saw him coming and smiled when she peeked at his notepad. "Excellent work, my dear Ted! Oh, this will make wonderful information for the article. And I got tons of pictures of them, too! Now," she pointed a finger towards the kitchen doors and grinned. "Go over there and find Momo. She should be in there, and when you find her, give her the order. Oh, this is so exciting!"

The red-haired man merely nodded in response as he walked over to do as she said. Meanwhile, back at the dining table he had just served, Mikuo took Rin's hand in his and smiled up at her. "Thanks again for cancelling your appointments to be with me. It really means a lot."

Rin couldn't resist the urge to smile as she stared back at Mikuo's teal eyes. "It's no problem, really. Sure, my manager was ticked off, but it worked out okay."

Mikuo laughed and began to rub his thumb on his girlfriend's hand. "So, how's the fam? I'm kinda still paranoid about Rinto jumping me whenever I'm with you."

Now it was Rin's turn to giggle as her smile grew wider. "Everyone's okay. Yohio should be back from his university in a few months, and I'm excited to see him again after so long. We kinda lost touch when I became a celebrity a couple years back. I wonder if he ever found a girl to call his own."

The teal-haired boy shrugged in response before Rin asked, "How's your sister? Is she doing okay?"

At this, Mikuo's eyes turned dull for just a split of a second before a small, fake smile showed on his lips. "Not really. She's the same as always, the doctors haven't really made any progress on her; yet. I still have hope..." He looks away for a little before his jubilant grin is back on his face. "Miku's strong, she'll definitely get better soon."

Rin nodded and gave Mikuo's hand a small squeeze as a small apology for bringing the topic up and as support for his family. The boy's eyes softened to look up adoringly at his girlfriend's own cerulean gaze. "Thank you, Rin. I don't know what I would do without ya."

The blonde felt butterflies inside, but she didn't dare show it as she smiled up at him. "It really is no problem, you know. I'll help you in anything you need."

"I know. And I love you for it," Mikuo cooed as he leaned over to give Rin a small kiss on her forehead, causing a small blush to adorn the singer's cheeks.

The pair was disrupted, though, as a girl with drill-shaped pigtails ran over to them to gush out, "Oh God~ Kya~ You guys are so adoringly adorable! I couldn't stand it anymore and I just had to absolutely interview you once and for all!"

As the girl kept on showing her adoration for the earlier kiss, Rin offered the interviewer a small, strained smile and asked her about her business here. That made Teto stop talking as she grinned wildly at the blonde. "Y'know what I'm doing here, honey, now spill the deets! Is this your last possible date or is the relationship actually going well?"

The artist being interviewed tried not to let any offense show as she looked over at Mikuo lovingly. "We're doing just fine. Sure, we could use some time off to see each other more often, but it's really not THAT big of a problem."

Mikuo, on the other hand, restrained his annoyance at the interruption before speaking. "Yes, we're absolutely fine. Besides," he got up from his chair and walked over towards Rin so he could give her a kiss on her cheek and a warm hug. "As long as I get to see her and love her for the day, I'm happy for the rest of the month."

Teto swooned over Mikuo's loving words before jotting them down on her notepad. "Kami-sama help me, you guys are just meant to be! Smile for the camera you two!" That was the only warning she gave before going into a marathon of pictures. The couple was practically blind from all the flash at the end of it before Teto deemed she had enough pictures and went merrily on her way to type up an article. Ted, who saw the spectacle from a couple feet back, sighed at the display before politely giving 'his costumers' the food they ordered and following after Teto, with Momo not too far behind as well.

The couple ate as they normally would on a date and left the restaurant with full bellies and loving kisses. Unbeknownst to the two, though, Teto was hidden behind a potted plant that was placed outside the Italian facility. She took pictures of them leaving before continuing in following them, oblivious to the fact that Ted had gladly thrown his skates away and Momo stayed behind to order something, seeing as the food was way too delicious to ignore.

A.N./ I told you it contained a lot of RinxMikuo fluff, didn't I? Don't worry, though. This is a RinxLen story, but Rin's relationship with Mikuo needs to be showed at the beginning for me to progress up to that. You will all get your Kagamine fluff eventually, just wait a little, okay?

Anyway, I've been really crappy with updates lately. I'm really sorry. Finals caught up with me, so I needed the time to actually study. Then, a couple days ago, I got really sick and wasn't even allowed to leave my room for two days. I feel a lot better now, and summer's right around the corner, so I should have more time to update all my stories! A huge thank you for all my readers that have been bearing with me until now. I really appreciate ya'll! c;
