Chapter 3
Since team 7 already knew what Kakashi originally planned to teach them, Naruto got them to do that some more until Kakashi had awoken. It only took two days for Kakashi to awaken and he, like Naruto, believed that Zabuza would return in two weeks time. Kakashi wanted to teach them something useful that they could master in those two weeks, but they already mastered tree climbing and water walking.
"Why don't you start us on our nature transformation training sensei. For the two weeks we learn one jutsu of our element and when we return to the village we can seriously get started until the Chunin exams." Naruto said
"That's a good idea Naruto, but I don't have any chakra paper on me now." Kakashi said sadly because it really was a good idea.
I've heard of elemental manipulation before, but that's normally started at chunin rank. I'm surprised that Naruto actually knows about it. No matter, I bet Sasuke gets it completely mastered by the end of the two weeks, Sakura thought
That's another good idea. If he's this smart, why was he the dead last of the class. Forget it, I need to get stronger to kill him! Sasuke thought
"It's alright sensei. I've brought some with me." Naruto said as he pulled out four pieces of paper.
"Alright everyone take a piece." Kakashi said as he grabbed a piece also.
"What do we do with these sensei?" Sasuke asked
"There are five elements that a person can have an affinity to. An affinity is the strongest element that a person can use. The elements are fire, wind, water, earth, and lightning. You first channel chakra into the paper and the results may vary. If you have a fire affinity then the paper will catch on fire and turn to ash. If you have a wind affinity then the paper will split into two. If you have a water affinity then the paper will get wet or damp. If you have an earth affinity then it will turn to dirt and crumble away. If you have a lightning affinity it will wrinkle." Kakashi explained as his paper wrinkled
Sakura copied and her paper became damp. Sasuke looked at his paper and it wrinkled like Kakashi sensei's. Naruto smirked as his paper split in half.
"So that means that I have a water affinity, Sasuke-kun has a lightning affinity like sensei and Naruto has a wind affinity." Sakura said.
Unbeknownst to all except Kakashi the three papers did more than a normal person's would. Although Naruto didn't notice it he already knew exactly what it meant. He planned to reveal the truth to them when he revealed his true gender. He gave Kakashi a look which told him that they would talk later.
"I think Sakura will have the easiest time using water style jutsus on this mission. There will be a lot of water around the bridge and Zabuza uses the hidden mist jutsu which causes the air around the user to be very moist. Making it where Sakura will have less strain on her chakra. The lightning style jutsu will be very effective with that much water around. Naruto won't have any advantages, but I'm positive that he will contribute a lot." Kakashi said as he smiled at his team.
"What jutsu will we learn sensei?" Sasuke asked, very eager to learn more jutsu
"I'll teach Sakura the water style gunshot. I'll teach you the lightning style false darkness. I'll teach Naruto the blade of wind." Kakashi said
The training soon began. Although Kakashi's clone only taught Naruto the hand seals to the jutsu once. Naruto was able to use it easily. Naruto used some clones to work on the jutsu so that they could master it, while some other clones worked on wind manipulation training. Apparently it came easy to Naruto since he already knew exactly what to do. Although it was Naruto's first wind jutsu he learned it was very easy to master it as well. By the end of the two weeks he was able to do it without hand seals. Naruto also tried out the Rasengan and found it easier because of his better chakra control. he decided it could be put to better use later.
Sasuke was able to master the jutsu after the two weeks but just barely. he still needed to use hand seals, but they were very fast.
Sakura mastered her jutsu by the end of the two weeks. She felt confident that she could be helpful to her teammates when they faced Zabuza and his unknown accomplice.
Two weeks later, bridge
Naruto knew that they could easily defeat Zabuza and Haku without all the effort they did originally, but he wanted things to follow their original course at least a little bit. it was necessary that Sasuke awakened his Sharingan and started to see Naruto as a friend and
comrade.
Because of Naruto's actions the battle played out the same way as normal, but Naruto faked his weakness. When the time came Sasuke jumped in front of Naruto to save his life. Naruto at that point started to let loose. There was no more need to hold back so he placed Sasuke's body on the ground and teleported to Haku as soon as he left the mirrors. Naruto punched Haku out the dome with ease. Using his bloodline Naruto was able to effectively defeat Haku without taking any damage. When the time came for Haku to sacrifice his life for Zabuza, Naruto teleported on Kakashi's back and teleported him away from Zabuza who was now being protected by Haku.
"What are you doing Naruto?" kakashi asked as he released the jutsu.
"Our battle with them is over. Gato is nearby and he's ready to betray them." Naruto said. Zabuza and Haku looked shocked at his words, but no sooner than a minute later and Gato appeared and revealed his plan to betray the two.
"Don't worry this will be over in a second." Naruto said as he looked at Zabuza and Haku. Naruto managed to get to Gato and tie him up for the villagers.
"Please take out any frustrations you have on the remaining men that worked for Gato." Naruto said.
Zabuza was shocked for a second, but then smirked. "That kid is something else. If I didn't know any better, I'd say he was related to the yellow flash. Come on Haku non lethal takedowns only." Zabuza said, low enough for only Naruto, Kakashi, Haku, and Gato to hear. Gato's eyes widened at hearing that because he heard of the yellow flash too. Haku nodded and he and his master defeated the men with ease. The villagers showed up eventually.
"Gato and his men have been captured. Wave is officially free. You guys can now seize all his assets and bring wave out of poverty. Gato and his men are your's to deal with, whatever justice you feel is necessary for these people." Naruto said. Luckily for Naruto Sasuke was still unconscious and Sakura was still a good distance away with Tazuna.
"What about us?" Haku asked
"You guys are free to go. You're just doing what any Konoha nin would do. Following orders. I may not like that way of the ninja, but I respect those that follow theirs." Naruto said as he helped the villagers haul away the bandits.
The next day Team 7 was heading home. The bridge was completed and their was finished. Zabuza and Haku went their own separate way though.
Naruto planned that as soon as they returned he would tell them what he wanted them to know.
Konoha training ground 7
"What was so important that we get out here early Naruto?" Kakashi asked
"I'm ready to inform you all of my secrets. Yes I said secrets sensei, meaning I do have some secrets that you don't know about yet. First on the night of my birth the fourth hokage did defeat kyuubi, but not by killing him. He did it by sealing Kyuubi into his newborn son, me. My mother, Kushina Uzumaki, was the Kyuubi jinchuriki before me and on that night she was attacked by a masked Uchiha. We will meet with him in the future since he is the true leader of the criminal organization known as Akatsuki. Akatsuki is the group that your brother joined Sasuke. They are comprised of S class criminals, whose goal is to capture all the tailed beasts. I originally learned about the Kyuubi on the night of our graduation. After failing, Mizuki tricked me into believing that, although I failed, there was a secondary test I could take to pass. He got me to steal the scroll of sealing from the old man's office. He told me to learn a jutsu from it to pass, but his purpose was to let me take the blame for it. He was going to kill me and take the scroll. Iruka sensei came first. Mizuki revealed that secret and I ran. I would have kept running too, had I not heard Mizuki and Iruka sensei's conversation. Mizuki called me a monster and sensei agreed with the part about what a monster is. He immediately followed up by saying that I wasn't a monster, but a ninja of Konoha. I came out and attacked Mizuki with the shadow clone jutsu that I learned from the scroll. The reason I know all this other information is because that night I had a visitor. An older woman, who claimed to be an older me. i didn't believe it at first, but she showed me memories that I remember living plus everything that happened after team assignments. That's how I knew my team and sensei without showing up. That's how I knew to prepare for your test sensei. That's how I know what would happen on our last mission. I also know of what happens in the near future that needs to be stopped." Naruto said. Team 7 was all shocked at Naruto's words.
"How did you meet your older self Naruto?" Kakashi asked
"I went to sleep and I was having a dream, before I was rudely awakened. I found myself next to Kyuubi's cage. I looked in front of me to see a tall figure in a black hooded cloak. She took off her cloak and it was an older version of my sexy jutsu. I never knew I was showing off my own body with that jutsu. She told me she didn't have time to talk. She just pushed all the memories onto me and I saw everything she saw. A lot of which I don't want to mention right now since it isn't important yet." Naruto said
"I see. First, what are your thoughts on Naruto now?" Kakashi asked. He knew all of what Naruto said except the fact that he was visited by an older version of herself. Kakashi knew of his burden, heritage and gender.
"Well, I've known you impersonally for about a few years now and all I can say about you from that time is that you are annoying. After team 7 formed and we spent more time with you, I realized you are very annoying, a training freak, and a good person. Hearing about the Kyuubi or your parents doesn't change how I view you. You are still my friend, teammate and comrade." Sakura said
"I'm glad you met your future self. You would have been a pain in the ass if you stayed the same weak, dumb self." Sasuke taunted
"Is that right? Last I checked in my memory our battle record was 3-2 in my favor." Naruto gloated since he knew Sasuke was playing and probably felt the exact same way as Sakura
"Under what conditions?" Sasuke asked
"They were all to the death. The first fight was on the hospital roof. You was mad because I defeated an opponent that you couldn't. You challenged me and I accepted. The fight was ended because of sensei, but had we clashed with jutsu I could have killed you." Naruto said
"What jutsu are you referring to?" Kakashi asked
"I used the rasengan that my godfather taught me, while Sasuke used the chidori that you taught him." Naruto said as Kakashi looked torn. He was disappointed that he couldn't teach Naruto the rasengan, while he was also disappointed in both students for using such high level jutsu on each other.
"In the second fight I used a tail's worth of Kyuubi's chakra while you used the cursed seal that Orochimaru is supposed to give you. You won, but that was because I wanted to bring you back alive. You were aiming to kill. We were at the valley of the end. Fitting place, huh sensei?" Naruto said
"Why were you there?" Kakashi asked
"For reasons that I won't tell you, but I promise it won't happen. The third fight was three years after the second. I was trained for three years by pervy sage, my godfather, while Sasuke was trained by Orochimaru. Sasuke's training was better and I was already tired from fighting Orochimaru with four tails of Kyuubi's chakra. I also add that at that point I lose control and the chakra becomes harmful to myself." Naruto said
"Orochimaru of the sannin?" Kakashi asked as Naruto nodded.
"We had another fight that wasn't all out and we weren't even fighting each other. We was fighting each other as well as a mutual enemy. I take that as a win because although we shared the killing blow, I killed more enemies and destroyed the place." Naruto bragged
"What about the last fight?" Sasuke asked
"We met one final time after the war. We were, at the time, the strongest ninja alive. We came at each other with everything we had. By that time I was done trying to be your friend. It was kill or be killed, so I killed. So 3-2 against the dead last loser." Naruto smirked
"Whatever. This is a new path and that outcome will change more in my favor." Sasuke challenged
"I still want to know about why Sasuke went to Orochimaru." Kakashi said
"The most important part, that the old man already knows about. Orochimaru is planning to invade Konoha during the upcoming chunin exam finals, mostly for Sasuke, but the secondary goal is to take out Konoha." Naruto said
"For me?" Sasuke asked
"How did we fare?" Kakashi asked
"Seeing that we went up against Suna and Orochimaru's newly formed Oto, we did better than good. We repelled the forces and gained victory. We took heavy losses in the form of comrades and our village, but things could have been worse had me and the pervy sage not been there." Naruto said
"What do you mean?" Kakashi asked
"Pervy sage summoned toads that defeated the snake summons that penetrated Konoha's wall. I defeated Sasuke's chunin exam final opponent, Gaara of the desert. He is the one tailed jinchuriki and it my memory becomes the fifth Kazekage to replace his dad who was killed by Orochimaru before the exams even started." Naruto said
"I want to know what he wants from me?" Sasuke asked
"He wants your eyes. He used to member of the Akatsuki, until some time after Itachi joined. He wanted Itachi's eyes for himself, but Itachi wasn't going like that. Now his attention is on you since you are his only known other option. Don't worry Orochimaru won't get you this time around. That's why in these next five weeks we have to train as hard as we did in our three years apart in my memories." Naruto said
"We? Did I train with sensei since you two were gone?" Sakura asked
"No sensei trained alone to better figure out his mangekyou sharingan, but you Sakura was trained by one of the best like me and Sasuke." Naruto said
"Tsunade of the sannin?" Kakashi asked
"Yes. She trained Sakura as a medic in her likeness. In three years, people like Lady Chiyo from Suna was able to see that Sakura was well on her way to surpassing granny Tsunade." Naruto said
"How are we going to get her to train me again. She hasn't been in the village in over 12 years." Sakura said
"I already have a mission with pervy sage to track her down. I can find her easily with sage mode. Hey that reminds me, I haven't talked to Kyuubi yet. I wonder if he saw the same memories I did. If not I'm more than ready to defeat him again." Naruto said
"Again?" The other three asked
"To gain full control over his chakra, I had to release Kyuubi and fight him. To win I had to take his chakra forcefully and put him in a smaller cage. I may not exactly be at that level again, but with my better level of control with my skills I should be able to do it again if I have to. I have to go, the perv is waiting for me." Naruto said as he flashed away.
