Sorry it's taken me longer than usual to post this but I really loved writing this chapter and I wanted it to be as close to perfect as possible, so I hope you like it as much as I do. Enjoy!

Chapter 17: Olitz Takes New York Pt 1

Present—2026

Kenny stands outside Olivia's house on her porch, waiting as he hears the sound of her footsteps as she comes down the stairs and wondering how she's going to take the news that he's come to tell her. He honestly could've just called but he was already in the area and thought it'd be better for him to just drop by and see her in person. The door swings open and he smiles pleasantly at her as she returns the gesture.

"Hey, Liv, can I come in?" He asks, knowing she'll say yes since he's come over to visit thousands of times but he still preferred to be polite.

"Yeah, of course." She steps aside and he walks in, keeping his eyes on her. She was currently dressed in a large t-shirt and sweatpants and her hair was in a sloppy ponytail but even in the simplest attire she was still stunning as ever. Throughout the years she has only grown more beautiful but he can still sense the cloud of sadness over her and knows that it's caused by Fitz who he eventually found out about. He wasn't exactly sure what happened between them and he really never asked, he just remembers coming over to visit her one day and her bursting into tears, telling him she and Fitz were done. He still remembers that heartbreaking look on her face and how broken she had been for such a long time afterwards. It had been so painful for him to watch her go through that that he often considered contacting Fitz himself and asking him to give their relationship another go, but he knew it wasn't his place and deep down he still had feelings for her that never went away. Even now he still thinks that he has a chance to be the one she needs and finally help her move on. They had both had failed relationships after the whole Fitz-debacle—his a marriage that resulted in his son, David, whom he loved with all his heart and hers some old boyfriend that resulted in Danny who he knew she loved to death. They had a lot in common and had been the closest of friends since high school, maybe they had a chance together. But ultimately he just wanted to make her happy—that's all he's ever wanted for her.

"So, what brings you by?" She asks, sitting down on her couch and beckoning him to join her. He sits down next to her, catching a whiff of her shampoo and smiling at the scent, but looks away from her, wondering how she's going to handle the news he's about to tell as he answers, "Well, I could've called you about this but I was already nearby so I just decided to come over and tell you in person. But anyways, it's about Starve Hunger charity event."

"What about it?"

"I know that we agreed that James would go this year but unfortunately his grandpa just became really sick all of a sudden and he's in no shape to make it back in time for the event."

"That's terrible. I hope his grandpa pulls through. I need to call him," Olivia says sadly.

Kenny nods as he continues, "Hopefully he'll pull through, but about the event, I would go in his place but my cousin's wedding is on the same day and I just can't miss that. Every single year, at least one of us goes and I know that we can easily just send someone else in the company as a rep but the organizers of the charity themselves have actually been asking for you personally to show up. They've loved you ever since that iconic speech four years ago and they would love it if you came this year."

He watches her expression and he knows what she's about to say. "Is he going to be there?" She asks plainly.

Kenny somberly nods yes. "He's one of the biggest figures coming, just like you. He's gone every year so far, so I don't doubt that he'll be there. If it's too much, we'll figure something else out, Liv. You don't need to feel pressured into doing something—"

"It's fine," she says suddenly, surprising him. "I'll do it."

"Really?"

She nods slowly. "I'll be fine. I can't let him dictate all my life decisions, especially when it comes to the company and charity. And I might not even have to talk to him," she says, but he can hear the uncertainty in her voice and deep down they both know that that's wishful thinking.

"Besides, it'll be nice to see New York again."

"Damn, Liv," Fitz groans out as she thrusts on top of him one last time and then collapses out of breath onto his chest. She sits up on his lap and straddles his waist and slings her arms around his neck as his eyes intently gaze over her beautiful naked body.

He usually preferred to be the dominant one during their sexcapades because he loved feeling her body react to him when he took control, but today he was fine with mixing things up. They had been going at it since they woke up thirty minutes ago in the apartment, which belonged to one of Fitz's friends, that they would be staying in for the week. They had finally made it to New York and so far everything was starting off extremely well.

"Someone has a lot of stamina this morning," he says winking at her, sitting up and pulling her closer.

"I'm never going to get enough of you," she says, pecking his lips. "So, what are we doing today?"

"Well, gorgeous, I wanted to ask you the same. My friends' play doesn't premiere until tomorrow but as much as I'm looking forward to seeing them, I much rather spend today with you."

She blushes and gives him a glowing smile. "Okay. Well, I've always wanted to go to Coney Island and I know it's not too far from here. Does that sound good?"

"That sounds great," he says, kissing her on the nose. He runs his hands over her thighs and asks, "Shower with me?"

She doesn't hesitate to nod yes and then she scoots off of him and takes his hand as they climb off the bed, untangling themselves from the mess of sheets. They take their time in the shower, relishing in the wonderful feeling of getting to run their hands over and bathe each other. When they're done Olivia goes back into the bedroom and dries off while Fitz stays in bathroom and shaves off a little stubble.

When he's done he takes a towel and wraps it around his lower body as he exits the bathroom. He walks back into the bedroom and sees Olivia walking around the apartment with just her panties and bra on, fishing comparing two pairs of shorts. He takes a moment to just watch her, imagining a life where he could wake up every morning to a scene just like or similar to this one. He was hopelessly in love with her and now that he finally had her all to himself, the thought of her ever not being an important and intimate part of his life scared him so he would work very hard to make sure that never happened.

Her phone begins to ring, she picks it up, and answers as she looks at the window at the city beyond them. He walks up behind her, snuggly wrapping his arms around her abdomen, making her release a slight moan as she melts into him.

"Yeah, dad, I'm still here," she says, tensing up a bit. A sly smile grows on Fitz's face at this as he delivers sloppy kisses to her shoulder, dragging his tongue across her skin.

"Everything's good. H-how are you?" She asks, stammering slightly. She swats his arm, making him chuckle as he caresses his way down her back, kneeling behind her. She arches her back when he hits a sweet spot on the small of her back. He slowly peels off her panties, letting them fall to the ground and grips her ass. He brushes his lips across her skin and then bites down, making her squeal.

"Yeah, I'm completely fine—oh, my gosh…"she says breathily then clears her throat. "Ah…Dad, I'm going to have to call you later."

She listens as he says something on the other end and then she rushes to say, "Love you, too. Bye!" She hangs up and turns around to face him furrowing her eyebrows. "I hate you."

He grips her waist and gently pushes her down onto the bed and climbs on top of her. "You love me. And have I ever told you how sexy you are when you're the least bit angry?" He says, kissing her pouty lips.

"That could've been an important call."

"Was it?"

She rolls her eyes. "No, he was just wondering if I got settled in okay…"

"I'm sorry, but I couldn't help myself. I love seeing you squirm," he says, winking at her.

She glares at him. "Screw you."

He grins. "I want to screw you, too."

This gets a laugh out of her. "Well, then do it already," she says sensually, undoing the roll of his towel and pulling it off his waist. He connects his lips to hers and wastes no time continuing from where they left off earlier.

Ten minutes later, Olivia and Fitz stop their fooling around and get ready to head out. She dresses in a white tank top with a jean vest and black shorts with a pair of matching black Converse. She takes in Fitz who is simply dressed in a baby blue V-neck and cargo shorts with a pair of sunglasses perched on top of his wavy curls, and wonders how it's possible for someone to become better looking every day. His lips curl into a smile when he catches her checking him out but instead of saying anything about it, he asks, "Ready to go, Livvie?"

She nods, taking his hand and letting his enclose around hers as they head out of the front door.

They stop to eat breakfast at a restaurant just a few blocks down from the apartment and then take the subway to Coney Island. They spend the first hour and a half walking around and just taking in the scenery around them, which included watching a hotdog eating contest, a sight Olivia would never forget. They go on a few mild rides in Luna Park before playing a series of carnival games, which gives Fitz the opportunity to show off. Normally she hated it when guys would act all macho and try to show off to their girlfriends, but it was different now that she was in that position, especially with Fitz.

He had won a few prizes for her but now she wanted to give it a try. They were currently playing skee-ball in an attempt to win a fuzzy lion stuffed animal and even though she was actually pretty good at skee-ball, she much rather preferred to have him pressed up against her with his hand on hers as they threw the ball together.

She was playing pretty stupid, basically making him do all the work as she leans against his hard, chiseled chest. "Like this?" She asks, feigning ignorance as he swings their hands together.

"Yep, and then you just release," he says as she finally throws the ball into the highest hole, gaining 500 points.

"Nice job," he says as she spins around and smiles widely at him. He returns her grin, wrapping his arms around her waist and kisses her, taking his time until they hear the guy manning the skee-ball game clear his throat and Olivia pulls back but Fitz still holds her close to him.

They take their lion and walk away. "I can't believe we're becoming one of those couples."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean the ones that people clear their throats at and tell to get a room," she says.

He shrugs. "Haters gon' hate, but that's not going to stop me from showing everyone how much I love you."

She laughs, knowing that she has the best boyfriend in the world.

They head back to the apartment around 1pm and collapse on the couch, utterly exhausted. They watch a little TV for about an hour before Fitz gets up to fetch them a snack. At first he was just going to grab some crackers or chips but then an idea occurs to him and before he even asks Olivia about it, he starts making sandwiches.

Olivia notices Fitz has been in the kitchen for a while now and goes to check out what's taking him so long. She gets up and sees him slathering peanut butter onto a slice of bread.

"I could've helped you make lunch," she tells him, coming up from behind him and snaking her arms around his torso.

"It's alright. I wanted to do this myself actually." He sets down the knife he just used to slice a peanut butter and jelly sandwich into half and faces her. He rests his hands on her waist and stares lovingly into her big brown eyes. "I want to take you on a picnic date on the beach as our first official date—the one that I've wanted since Hawaii, the one that we never got…if you're fine with that."

A wide smile spreads across her face as she pulls his head down and passionately kisses him. "Have I ever told you how perfect you are?" She asks, pulling back.

He shrugs, flashing her a charming smile. "I try."

She laughs and then steps back, heading out of the kitchen. "Okay, I'm going to change into something more picnic-date-appropriate and then I can help finish things up if you're still not done."

"You look great already, Liv."

"Thanks, but I want to look even greater for this. I won't take long," she says with a wink and then disappears around the corner.

The widest of grins stays glued to her face as she literally floats across the bedroom while sifting through her clothes. She remembers the months after she had left Hawaii and lost contact with Fitz and how she would lie awake in bed every night or daydream a thousand different scenarios of how that picnic on the beach would've gone if she could've stayed. It had driven her crazy but once they found each other again that September, these thoughts soon diminished, however now she would get exactly what she wished for and overall she had gotten much more than she could've ever hoped for. Even though he had professed his love for her, Olivia still found it baffling that he loved and accepted her despite all of her flaws and that he had stuck by her side during all the issues she had endured throughout this past year. She didn't know what she did to deserve him but she was truly blessed and she would do whatever it took to keep him forever.

After searching a bit longer, she finds a white sundress that she had packed last minute and slips it on along with some tan sandals with white straps. She decides to add a little curliness to her hair and some light make-up with lip gloss. With a few sprays of her peach-scented perfume, she goes out the main space of the apartment and sees Fitz finishing up. He glances up when he hears her footsteps and keeps his eyes glued on her as she comes closer.

"Do I look okay?" She asks, wondering why he's staring at her for such a long period of time without saying anything.

"Yeah, you look amazing, it's just I think that's the dress you wore when I saw you for the first time, you know, at that bar. I couldn't take my eyes off of you." He smiles. "You were stunning, just like you are now," he says, kissing her forehead.

"Thank you," she says, glad that she had slipped this dress in last minute.

"Let me just freshen up a bit and then we can head out." Ten minutes later, they have their bags of food loaded and ready, a mini cooler, and a couple of blankets to sit on, along with some light jackets that Fitz brings since the beach tends to be cold.

They take a taxi to Manhattan Beach and arrive there at around 3pm. The beach is pretty much empty, except for a few families and parties dispersed along the sand far from each other, so Olivia and Fitz would surely get a lot of space to themselves, something Fitz was more than happy about.

They lay the blanket down on a nice, soft area of sand not too far from the shore and get comfortable. The weather is nice and moderate so neither of them feels that they'll be needing a jacket any time soon. Olivia starts to unpack their food, smiling when she sees five full peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

"Really, Fitz?" She says, chuckling.

"What? I'm a big boy and I get hungry," he says defensively. "This bread has to get finished one way or another."

She pecks his jawline, rolling her eyes and then takes out a large bag of Nacho Cheese Doritos, a container of fruit, a container of veggies, and a box of granola bars. They both get water bottles out of the mini cooler they brought with them and start eating. Olivia is surprised when all of the sandwiches are gone fifteen minutes later, Fitz having eaten three of them and her two of them, which was unusual but she guesses all that walking around made them extremely hungry.

"Can you believe that while we were in Hawaii we spent an entire week together without knowing each other's names?" Fitz says, shaking his head.

"Yeah, that was pretty ridiculous. Sorry for making you wait an additional two months to learn mine, though," she says with a guilty smile.

"Those months were torture. I had to refer to you as 'The Girl' the whole time."

"I called you 'mystery man' and 'Blue-eyed McDreamy'," she tells him, giggling at how weird it sounded.

He laughs. "Blue-eyed McDreamy?"

"Yeah, like McDreamy from Grey's Anatomy because I thought you were dreamy…stop laughing!" She says, feeling her cheeks getting warm.

"I love it, baby," he says, wrapping his arms around her in one of those bear hugs that she loved and kissing her on the neck. "I may not have had a fancy name for you but you were always on my mind. It took me a while to approach you at that bar when I asked you if you wanted a drink. I had never felt that nervous about approaching anyone but there was just something about you that captivated me. Then we started hanging out and I got to know you and you frustrated me with all your hardheadedness and snarkiness but it only made me want you even more because you were always on my mind and it drove me crazy but I just continued to fall harder for you."

"I'm sorry for giving you such a hard time," she says, smiling slyly. "I could really be a pain in the ass."

"I love it when you give me a hard time. Your snarky, fiery personality is one of the many things I love about you and I wouldn't want you to change for anything in the world."

"What else do you like about me?" Olivia asks curiously, propping herself up on her elbow and looking at him.

"I love how even though you can be hardheaded and fiery, you have your soft side and how you allow yourself to be vulnerable with me. I love your body, how it feels against mine, how it feels to be inside of you, how smooth it is, how your skin feels under my fingertips, and how no matter what you wear you always look amazing. I love your lips, I love how soft they are and I feel like I could kiss them for hours on end. I love your voice and your laugh, to me those are the best sounds in the world and just hearing them always brightens up my day. But most of all I love your eyes, I feel like I can just get lost in them. They're like circles of freshly melted chocolate but when I look into them I see everything I've ever wanted or needed," he looks away from her, his cheeks a rosy red and he chuckles nervously. "I know that was weirdly deep but I mean every word."

She smiles, her heart swelling with joy and love. "I'm in love with your hair—it's like an ocean luscious curly waves," she says, running her fingers through his hair. "I also love your smile, just seeing it is like medicine and makes me feel better in general. If you think my eyes are nice, you have, like, the Zeus of eyes."

"Zeus of eyes?" He says, laughing.

"Yes, they're divine. But it's your personality that gets me most of all. I just never thought that anyone like you existed, especially for me. You're everything I've wished for and much more and I'm so thankful that I have you."

He smiles.

"Oh, and the sex is amazing, by the way," she adds quickly, winking at him.

"Is that right?" He asks with a daring tone and a crooked smile.

"Mmhmm…" she says, gliding her hands under his shirt.

"I would take you right here but that might not be a bright idea, especially if someone calls the cops. But as soon as we get home, I'll remind you all over again of just how amazing I can be," he growls, lowering his voice by an octave.

She feels an ache between her thighs. "I'm going to hold you to that, Mr. Egotistical."

He smirks. "But in the meantime we can enjoy a little foreplay," he says, grabbing her up suddenly and then rolling over and hovering over her, causing her to giggle as he peppers her neck and shoulder with kisses.

Present—2026

As she sits on Manhattan Beach, Olivia smiles as she remembers their conversation. She pulls her knees closer to her chest and hugs herself tighter as a chill hits her, slightly making her regret not bringing a jacket. She had told herself that she wouldn't come here but as soon as her plane landed and she checked into her hotel, she headed over here. It didn't help much that her and Fitz's date on this beach was the same place she had read up to in "The Girl in the White Dress".

Her thoughts are interrupted when she subtly hears footsteps from behind her but she doesn't turn around to see who it is, thinking it's just another beach-goer, but when she hears the footsteps stop suddenly and the familiar baritone voice that still haunt her dreams say, "Livvie?" She turns around.

It couldn't be, she thinks but when she fully turns to face whoever called her by the nickname she hadn't heard in years, there's no denying that the love of her life is truly only five feet away from her.

"Hi," she croaks out.

"Hi," Fitz says with an uneasy smile.

I know that that was a bit of a cliffhanger and I'll try not to stay away for too long but what did y'all think? Did you like Past Olitz's picnic date? I will have more cute/sexy moments coming up for them, along with stuff with their friends and family that will ultimately lead up to the break up. So, Present and Past Olitz are both in NY and things will get interesting but what do you expect will happen next? Leave me your thoughts. Thanks for reading!
