Sorry this chapter has taken so long but I had to put a lot planning into it for everything to fit right and I wanted to get everything into one chapter so I hope I did it justice. Also, sorry for typos, I'll go back and fix those later. Enjoy!
Chapter 19: Olitz Takes New York Pt 3
2015
Fitz fumbles with the keys in the dim hallway as he tries to open the door and it's not made any better with Olivia unzipping his pants and tugging at them from behind. He starts to get angry with himself, having wanted to be inside of her all evening and he was tired of being patient.
"Damn it!" He yells as he finally gets the key in and kicks the door open. He pulls Olivia into the apartment, growling as she grabs ahold of his junk. He pulls down her skirt and takes off her panties, as he presses his lips to hers. He firmly grips the back of her thighs and picks her up, pushing her against the door. He plunges into her as she wraps her legs around his waist and he begins to move rhythmically, making her moan and squeal out his name as he increases his speed and goes in deeper. He didn't know what had gotten into him but he was determined not to stop until they both reached their climax.
"Ahh…Fiitz! Oh, my gah…!" She screams.
"You like that, Livvie? Can you handle it?" He says in a low voice, pounding her even harder and going in as deep as possible.
"Yes, Fitz, yes!" She yells, gripping his hair and pulling. He feels on fire from the amazing pain of his hair being tugged at and the sound of her voice moaning and screaming his name that he's never felt more alive. She cums first but he doesn't stop there, continuing to hold his in. He carries her towards their bedroom but they end up stopping at the doorway, where he places her on the ground and takes her from behind, making her scream and squeal until her voice is hoarse. He finally cums into her and after almost ten minutes falls next to her, catching his breath.
"Fitz, you are a freak. I'm not going to be able to walk properly for days," she says, still panting.
"Are you okay?" He asks, worried that maybe he had gotten a little out of control.
"I'm perfect. That's what I call mind-blowing, out-of-this-world sex, the kind that takes you to another universe," she exclaims. "I really like the rough approach."
"I guess I'll do it more often, then," Fitz says, his ego at an all-time high as she lays on his chest and hooks his arm around her, feeling on top of the world.
After about ten minutes more, Fitz gets up to go get some cloths to clean them up. Olivia slips on a new pair of panties and one of his t-shirts while Fitz puts on a fresh pair of boxers, both of them now comfortably in their usual nightwear. They decide to hang out on the couch and turn on the TV, but there seems to be nothing really good on at two in the morning.
As Fitz continues to flip through the channels, Olivia suddenly sprouts up. "Do you want ice cream? I think I'll get some ice cream," Olivia says, disentangling herself from him and heading, limping and causing him to grin and feel proud at a job well done. He watches her as she leans over and fishes through the freezer for the ice cream and he feels himself getting aroused all over again. She wiggles her ass at him then looks back and winks at him, making him laugh.
She comes back with two tubs of ice cream and two spoons and sits back down next to him, handing him his ice cream. "Thank you, love."
She smiles. "You're welcome." And they both dig in.
"So, did you have fun tonight, I mean, besides the more private and wild part of our night?" Fitz asks with a smirk, hoping their night out on the town after the play with his friends had gone mostly well since she had seemed to enjoy herself.
"Yeah, it was great. I haven't had night out like that in a long time." After the play, they all went out to eat at a Chinese buffet and after spending a few hours getting to know each other, they decide to hit a club and go dancing. All of Fitz's friends had expressed how much they liked Olivia. They thought she was charming, smart, and funny, and she didn't have any trouble fitting in with them, even though a few of them were a little eccentric.
"I think one of most memorable parts of this night was when Sarah walked up to me out of nowhere and whispered in my ear that she thinks you and I will make cute babies," she says with a giggle.
He grins at her. "As long as they all look like you they'll be super cute," he says, burying his face into her neck.
"Except the boys, they'll have to look like you with those charming blue eyes and that wavy hair. And they'll be good with the ladies just like you. In fact, I noticed Mary staring at you all night. I think she has a little crush on you."
Fitz pulls back and cocks an eyebrow. "Hmm, really. I didn't even notice," Fitz says genuinely. As much as he had been happy to see his friends again, most of his focus had been on Olivia since no one could keep his attention better than she could.
"I think she does, but I tried to be a good girl and not make a big deal out of it. I guess I'm getting better at handling my jealousy when other girls go gaga over you," she says, playing with the curly little hairs on his chest. "But you could say I was being a bit of a bitch when I basically effed you on the dancefloor while she watched. But don't get me wrong, I don't regret doing that at all."
Fitz laughs. "What would I do without you, baby?"
"We'd both be lost forever," she says, leaning against him. Her smile fades as she suddenly grows serious. "Babe?"
"Yeah, Livvie?"
"It's just…you know I love you, right?" she says ponderously.
"Without a doubt," he responds without hesitation. "And I love you. What's up?"
"Nothing really. I know I'm jumping the gun a little by thinking about this right now but I know that once we go back home, things will get a little more complicated with our families, especially my dad. So, no matter what happens, I just want you to know that I'm fully committed to you and I won't let anyone tear us apart.
He smiles and runs his hand over her thigh. "Neither will I. I know it's going to be difficult for your father and your whole family to accept us but I've waited so long to be with you, almost a year now, and now that I've experienced this, there's no way I'm going back to not having you in my life. I think my family will love you, despite the whole teacher-student thing, but if your father objects or if anything else happens, just promise me that we'll be truthful with each other. No lies, no matter what it is or how much it hurts."
She nods slowly. "Okay, I promise. No lies."
They seal it with a kiss.
"But for now, let's just have fun and not worry while we can. We still have six more days out here, the city is basically ours, and I want to enjoy it all with my favorite girl in the whole world."
Chapter 19: Olitz Takes New York Pt 3
2026—Fitz
"What do you mean you saw her again?"
"I mean, I actually saw her, in the flesh, but that's not it. We had lunch together, we talked, we laughed…it felt almost like old times," Fitz tells Stephen with a content smile on his face as they lounge around together at his apartment.
"Don't tell me you're catching feelings for her again. Don't you remember how bloody messed up you were when she called it quits on you guys? Don't get your hopes again, especially if she doesn't feel the same way."
"My feelings for Olivia never went away. She's the love of my life. I'm not sure if she feels the same way anymore, but I know she once did and I can work with that. I've spent too much time away from her, Stephen, and I'm going to get her back."
This conversation had been on Fitz's mind all day and it still managed to stay in his mind during the charity event, especially as he watches Olivia hanging out alone on one of the buildings balconies, looking stunning as ever in a dressy red dress and sipping on a glass of wine.
"Hi," he greets, walking out onto the balcony to join her.
"Hi," she says back, smiling lightly at him.
He walks up to the railing and leans against it with his forearms, standing only three feet away from her.
"That wine any good?" He asks casually.
"I love it personally. I would love to have more, but I don't want to get tipsy," she says, finishing the last of it.
They remain quiet for several seconds before Fitz looks back at Olivia and says what's been on his mind since he laid eyes on her earlier that day and especially tonight. "You look beautiful."
"Thanks. You look very nice, too," she says politely but it sounds way to forced and as he looks closer he can see that she's very tense.
"I've really missed you, Livvie," he says, edging a little closer to her.
"Fitz…you can't call me that anymore. I'm not your 'Livvie'," she says shakily.
"You once were..."
"Yeah, well, times change," she tells him coldly.
His mouth falls open a bit, shocked at how distant she seems now. He reaches out to her, placing his hand on her arm that's covered with goosebumps. "Liv, just look at me."
She shakes her head stiffly, determined to keep her gaze focused on the city below. "Look at me," he says again.
"Fitz…" she whispers, her willpower to evade him beginning to fade away as she side-eyes him. He slips his hand down to hers and grasps it tightly as he reiterates, "Look. At. Me."
She finally gives him her attention and Fitz returns her ashamed expression with an encouraging smile. He reaches out his hand to her cheek and lightly rests it there. She opens her mouth to say something but quickly closes it as her lower lip starts to quiver.
He leans in closer to her and before he knows it his lips come crashing down on hers. He kisses her lightly, relishing in the feeling of reuniting with the lips that used to be so familiar to him. She begins to return the kiss, though he can still feel her holding back. He positions both hands on her face but as he slips his tongue out, asking for access into her mouth, she abruptly rips herself away from him and staggers back a few steps.
She breathes deeply and even in the dim light above them he can see her watery eyes. "I can't do this. You don't want me, Fitz. You won't want anything to do with me after you find out what kind of person I am…" she says in a low voice.
He furrows his eyebrows at this, wondering what she meant by that, and by the serious and ashamed expression on her face he could see that it was very serious. "What do you mean? What's wrong, Liv? Are you in some kind of trouble? Did you do something? Let me help you."
She shakes her head and sighs heavily before muttering, "You have a son…"
Fitz thinks he misheard her so he asks, "What about the sun?"
She bites her lip nervously before repeating, this time more loudly and firmly, "You have a son. My son isn't three years old, he just turned four. And he's yours, too."
He looks back at her like she's just told him some sick joke, but when the serious expression on her face never wavers, he knows she's not fooling around. He walks closer to her and says in a low voice, "You're saying that I'm his father? I've had a son for four years that I've never even met or seen?"
She nods slowly, avoiding his betrayed gaze. "I'm sorry. But we should talk about this somewhere else."
He vigorously shakes his head. "No, we're talking about this right now," he growls. "How do I know he's mine?"
"You think I'm so much of a whore that he wouldn't be yours?" She says just as angrily. "Come on, Fitz, you know he's yours. We didn't use any protection that night, I wasn't pregnant before then and I didn't have sex with anyone afterward. He's yours."
Fitz stares back at her as images of that night almost five years ago flood his memory.
About five years ago—2021
Fitz couldn't keep his eyes off of her and neither could anyone else that night as Olivia gave her speech about world hunger on a large stage before hundreds of other people. She had grown so much—he couldn't help but marvel at how much stronger, powerful, confident, and more beautiful she had become in the years they had spent apart. But while he was grateful to see her doing so well, this also left a pit in his heart at the realization that she had actually done so well without him in her life.
When the speaking portion of the event is over, they see each other for the first time in the lobby of the building and it's almost as if the whole world around them stops and everyone vanishes until it's just them, standing there and staring into each other's souls. They're brief connection, however, is ended by a photographer asking to get a picture of a few of the representatives together. As she starts towards him, Fitz can't help but notice how even more gorgeous she looks up close. Much to his luck, she ends up next to him as they pose for the picture and he has to place his arm around her waist, but he finds it hard to control himself once he inhales a whiff of her familiar smelling perfume and with the feeling of her body against his, he can't help but absentmindedly pull her even closer to him. He feels her tense up against him but she soon relaxes into him. They quickly shake hands, though he holds on a little longer than normal to her soft, dainty hand that still fits like a glove inside of his.
She forces a smile for those around them, but once the handshake is over, she takes off as soon as she says goodbye to everyone. He sees her again at the dinner banquet for all the reps and no matter how much he tries, he can't keep his attention from wandering back to her, no matter how many people he tried to talk to to distract himself. He also notices her trying to avoid his gaze but they manage to make eye contact many times. He starts to chug down his scotch, going through two glasses in less than fifteen minutes, but this only worsen the situation, as his thoughts about Olivia begin to turn more erotic and he finds it difficult to control his member. Well before the banquet ends, Olivia suddenly gets up from her seat, takes her purse and heads out of the room. And as if on auto-pilot mode, Fitz stands up, takes one last sip of his drink, and takes off after her without so much as another look in his fellow companions' direction. He walks through the door and sees her striding down an empty hallway, determined to get away from him but he doesn't plan to let her go. He goes after her, keeping his eyes trained on her swaying ass and quickly catching up to her with long strides, even though she's walking as fast as her legs will carry her but her six-inch heels don't do her any justice. He eyes what appears to be a maintenance closet coming up and when he gets close enough, he grabs her arm, opens the door, and pulls her in with him.
As Olivia marched down that hallway, she knew she wouldn't be able to evade him for long. She had slipped out of the banquet early because she couldn't stand his eyes burning holes into her but she should've known that he would come after her. She curses herself for wearing such difficult heels as she puts everything she can into making her legs go faster, keeping her eyes focused ahead—towards freedom. She wasn't ready to face him. But she knew it wouldn't be that easy, and as they near what she suspects is an electrical closet, she hears his firm, confident footsteps right behind her, right before he grasps her arm and pulls her into the closet with him.
She breathes heavily as he stares back at her for a short moment before gripping her face with both hands and pressing his lips to hers, pushing her back until she hits one of the electrical machines. She pushes him back and delivers a hard slap to his cheek. He stumbles back a little but she can see this hardly shocks him as he stares back at her, waiting for her to make her move. She can taste the scotch from his mouth now on her lips and wonders if this is the only reason he decided to go after her as she looks at him with an expression of hurt, confusion, and helplessness. But when she gazes back into his eyes, she sees a longing that's deeper than just lust and she decides to screw all her hesitations to hell and give into what she's been craving for so long, unable to resist him anymore.
She rushes at him, gripping the back of his neck and kisses him furiously, letting out all of her jumbled up feelings. As their tongues dance together, Fitz slips off her blazer and attacks her arms with wet, sloppy kisses. He spins her around, moving her up against another wall and pulls down her panties as she helps him unzip the back of her dress. He takes her hand and holds it over his erect member, showing her how much his love still burns bright for her and how no other woman can affect him like she does. He unbuckles his pants and pulls down his briefs and begins to pound into her from behind, holding his hands over hers higher up on the wall. She throws her head back as her face contorts and she groans out at what he's doing to her mind, soul, and body. He places his hand on her thigh, almost clawing at it and she can't help but bang her fist hard against the wall as her mind goes foggy. He turns her back around and latches onto her lips again.
After they're quick love session, they both get dressed again and try to at least look presentable before heading out of the closet. Fitz opens the door for her and after patting down her hair, she walks out. He goes after her and they stand together, glancing away from each other.
"I'm sorry. We shouldn't have done that," he mumbles with an ashamed expression. But she doesn't feel shame. It's like what they had done had awakened something in her that had been dead for a long time. She suddenly had this big sense of confidence and hope.
"I'm not sorry, Fitz," she admits to him. "I know that I've been trying to avoid you all night but I wasn't sure that you would want to have anything to do with me and I didn't want to have to confrontation with you in anyway but what we just did has shown me more than anything that my love for you will never die. I may be successful business-wise but without you, life has been miserable and…empty. I know that I'm the one that walked away but…I'm better now, and if you give me another chance, if you give us another chance, maybe we can try to mend what was broken," she says, basically putting everything on her heart at the moment out there. She knew she was being impulsive, especially after just having sex with him but the truth was that she did miss him more than anything and now that time had given them a period to heal from everything that happened years ago, maybe they would be able to start fresh. She also figured that he must have the same agenda since he had pursued her.
But his expression only becomes sadder and even more ashamed as he sighs and mutters, "I'm married, Olivia." He holds up his left hand and sure enough there's a ring on his fourth finger.
"What?" Olivia says in a voice as small as a mouse's, all that hope and confidence plummeting and leaving her with embarrassment for spilling her heart out to him.
"I'm married to a woman named Virginia. We got married about two years ago."
She nods as anger starts to creep its way into her. "So, you had sex with me when you're married to someone else…"
"Liv, I'm s—"
"Don't apologize! You're full of crap, you know that? How dare you use me like some whore you got off the street?" she snaps.
"You know that I don't see you that way," he says, inching closer to her and trying to touch her but he stops at her glaring expression.
"Then what am I to you? What, do you expect me to be your mistress and meet up with you at some hotel at your beck and call whenever you feel horny or want to get all hot and bothered?"
"Stop it, Olivia!" He yells, quieting her. "You are not some whore or mistress and don't you ever refer to yourself as such because we both know better. What I just did was incredibly disrespectful and inconsiderate and just selfish and I'm so sorry for giving you false hope and messing with your head. This was a mistake, it should've never happened."
Olivia flinches at his words, hating him for taking advantage of her but also hating the fact that he called they're short love-making session a mistake.
"Virginia and I have established a good life together. We're happy. One drunken session of sex doesn't change the fact that we just don't work together anymore, Olivia. I'm sorry," he says, his face and voice devoid of any emotion. "We both just need to move on. It's for the best."
She stares back at him, not recognizing the man before her at all, but he refuses to show any guilt for his words. So, she decides to match his demeanor before she embarrasses herself anymore. She nods stiffly and mutters, "I guess you're right. I don't know what I was thinking. I deserve better, more than you could've ever given me," she says, wanting to hurt him as much as she was hurting and by the slight break in his demeanor, it gets to him.
His lips tighten together and he looks away from her. "Goodbye," he whispers before, spinning on his heel and heading out of the building without another look back at her. As soon as she knows he's gone for sure, she finally breaks down, sobbing uncontrollably and falling down to her knees, not giving a damn about what whoever might see her would think. She had just gotten her heartbroken for the second time and this time was much more painful than the first. She had a good idea of how he must've felt when she walked away from him years ago now that the tables were turned and it was eating at her core. What she didn't know was that on his way back to his hotel, Fitz could hardly hold himself together either.
Present—2026
"How could you not tell me this?" He yells, not holding back any venom in his tone. "As his father, you didn't feel that I had the right to know?"
"I didn't know what to do!" Olivia cries. "I wanted you to get to know him but I was afraid that you wouldn't want anything to do with him when you already had a family with Virginia. I didn't want to expose him to the same kind of rejection I got from my mom when she ran off with another man. A parent who says that they'll be there for you but never shows up. I didn't want to put him through that."
"So, you thought it'd be better if he didn't know me at all? I am not your mother. How could you think that I would ever reject our son? Even if I was with another woman I would've wanted to be in his life as much as possible, I would've even…I would've even tried to make us work again. I never stopped loving you, even when I was with Virginia, that's why we divorced. I told her that I cheated on her, she still forgave me, but I told her that I would never get over you and eventually our marriage just fizzled out. I would've done anything to be in both of your lives, but you never even gave me the chance."
"We agreed that we were done after that night. We made it clear that we'd never see each other again—"
"We will never be done," he says sternly. "You know that and I know that, no matter what we say. I'm never going to get over you, but Liv, if this is going to work between us, you can't lie to me, especially with a lie this big. Remember when we made a promise to be truthful with each other no matter how much it would hurt or disrupt our established lives?"
She nods. "I'm sorry…I was just trying to protect him. I should've known that you would've never neglected him just because of me. We could've been a happy family by now if I hadn't screwed things up…"
"We still can be," Fitz says almost in audibly but Olivia hears him and stares back at him with a surprised expression. "I want to see him."
She nods. "He'll be with me again as soon as I'm done with this New York trip. He's staying with my parents. He has a birthday party coming up next Saturday. Of course you can see him before then but just so you know."
"Okay. Do you have any pictures of him on you right now?"
"Yes, plenty," she says with a light smile. She gets her phone from her purse and taps on an album. Immediately a swarm of pictures come up of a little boy who looks exactly like Fitz except for the caramel tint of his skin, but if Fitz had seen a picture of him earlier, he would've known instantly that he was looking at his own flesh and blood. He had the same curly hair as Fitz, though it was a little lighter in color like Fitz's had been as a boy, but those grayish-blue eyes were his. He flips to another picture where the boy has a wide smile on his face—Olivia's smile—and he's dressed in a Superman costume, with his hands on his hips and his chest proudly puffed out.
"That was Halloween last year," Olivia says. "He loves Superman."
"He was my favorite superhero, too," Fitz says as a smile fills his face, but he suddenly realizes that there's a vital piece of information that he doesn't know about his son. "What's his name?"
"Daniel," Olivia answers. "But everyone, including me, calls him Danny. I think he prefers it, too."
Fitz nods, staring in amazement at the pictures of the son he couldn't wait to meet. "He's beautiful," he says, his voice full of emotion and pride. Even through all the turmoil and heartache he and Olivia had been through, they had still managed to create something that had turned out perfectly.
"I have to thank you for raising such an awesome son. I know it couldn't have been too easy."
"It wasn't but it was all worth it. He's the best kid anyone could've ever hoped for. I can't wait for you to meet him," she says with a small smile.
He returns her expression. "Neither can I."
They stand in an awkward silence, realizing that they've just had probably their most life changing moment on a balcony for hundreds of people to see but Fitz doesn't care.
"Well, we should probably go back inside," Olivia says nervously, starting towards the door, but Fitz catches her hand and spins her back to face him.
"Or we can just get out of here."
They take a taxi instead of their personal drivers, wanting to stay together as much as possible. They stop in front of Olivia's hotel and decide to go in together. They both kick off their shoes and take a seat on the bed but Fitz eventually leans back onto the headboard and opens his arms up for Olivia.
She's hesitant but she eventually eases into his arms and soon snuggles herself into his chest. Even though things aren't perfect and he and Olivia still have a long way to go and a lot to discuss before they can go back to normal Fitz feels like he can finally rest and exhale now that things are starting to fall into place.
"Can we talk…about us?" Olivia says.
Fitz nods, hugging her tighter against him. "We have all night."
So, I hope you enjoyed that. I knew it was going to be a bigger challenge trying to weave in 3 different timelines in so I hope it all flowed well. So, now you know the story of how Danny was conceived but there's still a little more to it that will be revealed later. Fitz has decided to forgive Liv but they still have a lot of issues from the past to get out of the way. Oh, what did you think of my version of the Closetgate scene ; )? I hope I did that justice! Also, we still have yet to find out what broke them up in the first place. Probably no one will guess what it is, mostly because there are multiple factors that went into "it"—two main things that I have planned, but I'd still like to hear your theories. I know I didn't really ask any questions but any other thoughts? Thanks for reading!
