Chapter 6: Pillow Talk

There, in the painfully awkward silence of the abandon shrine we decided to stop at, I faced the pervert head on, praying to God that he would take the story I gave him and fucking accepted it!

"So….your telling me that you're not an alien, but a girl from another dimension that happened to be brought here via the work of those puppets, due to the fact that you read a story about the life of a boy in this world?" nodding my head at his semi sarcastic recollection of the tale I just spewed to him, "and due to the fact you read this particular story you now have fore knowledge of the very world around you?"

Again nodded

"And on top of that you can now mysteriously move the very ground beneath us?"

Nod

A beat of silence followed the very apparent sarcastic re-cap of the shortened version of a very long and very unbelievable truth. Then the old, wrinkly son of a bitch had the absolute nerve to laugh his ass off. His fucking hideous howl echoing through the abandoned area. All I could do was sit there, in my simmering rage, and wait for the bastard to stop and catch his breath.

It took a while but eventually he had the tact to take a deep breath and wipe away the small pools of condensation in the corners of his eyes. A small chuckles making its way out as he proceeded to do maternity breaths, until he fully righted himself to look at me.

Another chuckle

"Yeah and I'm the Sage of Six Paths, reincarnated in to this devilishly handsome gentle man," the fucking dick had the nerve to rest his chin on his fucking oaf sized hands. Ugly bastard!

"I know your old and all but I didn't expect a perv with your kind of libido to be going senile," a heated glare was thrown my way, " But did you already forget why you were taking me to the Hidden Leaf? Well besides the whole 'appearing from a glowing ball bit'?"

His eyes widened a fraction

"You were wondering how I knew that information right? Well reading a work of fiction about said people and place would help that out right?"

He didn't look very convinced

"You honestly think there are no explanations for how you ended up in those woods, with that information?" a completely serious look sliding effortlessly into place, "That ball of light could have been a transportation technique for all I know, you aren't the first person I've met with no chakra, and that information could easily be gathered by a spy."

Now I was stuck between a rock and a fucking hard place. I didn't want to go spouting the whole fucking truth to this douche, especially with his track record for royally screwing up shit, but at this point I had to let something slide through. At least enough to save my sorry ass.

"Well would a spy know anything about you helping a few lost little Ame orphans during the Second Shinobi War?"

.

.

.

I swear on the life of my little Chestnut I never felt tension or killing intent this strong in my entire life, and I lived with a small ball of Puerto Rican anger, that I called mother, for nineteen years of my life. Before I knew it the front of my shirt was yanked forward and I was face to face with a very angry and very concerned legendary ninja.

"How the hell do you know about that alien?"

It seems I needed to explain more thoroughly this time, since it really didn't get through his thick ass skull before.

"My name is Eve and I come from another dimension, in this dimension we have a story call Naruto," the hand holding the front of my tunic twitched, as sis the corner of his eye, "That story is about a boy named Naruto who becomes the savior of the world. Now me not being God, feels no need to tell you all the details so that you in turn have no inclinations to change shit you shouldn't be knowing about in the first place; but now it seems that a secret dark force (how original) has brought me here for that express purpose. Now, for the love of everything holy let me the fuck go you dirty old man!"

And like that I landed, unceremoniously, on my fat ass. Looking up at the dirty old sage, all I saw was a calculating stare.

"And the whole moving of the earth and energy deal?"

"Well shit I just realized I had that shit a few hours ago, apparently instead of chakra I have something called chi that I guess everyone has where I'm from, we just don't know we have it?" my eyes narrowed up at Jiraiya, "I don't really know, okay? Like I said it worked when that ugly blob attacked me"

A pause

"Well show me!"

"What part of 'I don't know how' do you not get?! Is the fucking seal you put on me not working?!"

"How did it happen the first time?

"That thing tried to put a few extra holes in me…."

That's when I saw the calculating look forming on his face. It didn't take a freaking genius to know what got the little hamster wheel in that storage space he called a head going.

"No"

"But we nee-"

"No, you are not going to cause any bodily harm to me!"

"I need to see it first hand, you brat!" a familiar irritated look formed on his wrinkly ass face, "Plus, I'm a professional! I know what I'm doing brat, so go over there and we'll try to recreate this little 'ability' you claim to have."

Giving a swift flick of my middle finger, I begrudgingly go to place where he was pointing at. Reaching behind him he pulled out a small scroll. Unrolling it he did a series of hand signs, and with that a poof of smoke filled the small front of the shrine. When I was finally done hacking up my fucking lungs I saw what Jiraiya had in his hands.

There, lying in a perfect row were a set of kunai

Fuck this!

"There is no fucking way you're throwing those at me you old fucking coot!"

"Oh hush brat! They're training kunai, not even sharpened, you'll be fine," again he huffed like an old man, "Now show me what you got!"

With an almost unperceivable flick of his wrist a fucking murder tool was hurling at me much faster than I anticipated. I couldn't even attempt to get enough adrenaline going to try to slow it down. Before I could do anything the kunai slammed right into my left shoulder, sending me flat on my ass.

It felt like I got slugged by a lead softball

"MOTHERFUCKER!"

As I cradled my soon to be bruised shoulder, all I could hear was that fucker laughing his ass off.

"You know what Jiraiya? You can shove your large spiky head right up your chapped asshole and wear it as a hat, you fucking dildo!"

That just made him laugh even more. Once I got to my feet I squared off, and planted my feet in a kick boxing stance.

"Again!"

Sobering up Jiraiya quirked his eyebrows at me, but said nothing more as he picked up another dulled kunai. A sadistic smirk working its way up to his stupid face.

Maybe this was a bad idea

The sky was filled with a deep orange as I made my way to my feet, panting I met Jiraiya's now bored stare.

"A-agin!"

"Listen brat, I'm sure it happened the way you say it did in your mind, but now you're just looking desperate at this point."

The sad part, was that he was right. Why couldn't I feel the warmth? Why couldn't I connect?!

Then it hit me

I needed my life to be in danger

"Throw sharpened shuriken at me, and throw it like you mean it!"

Silence filled the space between us

"Brat I-"

"Grow a fucking pair of balls and do it already!"

Clenching his teeth he pulled out a single, sharpened shuriken. Taking a firm stance he flicked it in my direction. He sped through a series of hand signs.

"Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

About ten more shuriken joined the one in heading straight for my half standing form. If I didn't get it this time it wouldn't just be a few more bruises.

It would be death

Breathing I took a deep breath trying hard to find the river of warmth. I couldn't die here, at least not now. I still had to pay for my sin, for being a murderer, there was no dying at this point!

I had to do it for her!

"Brat!"

Ignoring his shouts I reached. Finally I felt the small stream of buzzing energy in me flexing, sliding its way into the earth; it was searching. That's when I felt the first shuriken sink into the flesh of my thigh.

Clenching my teeth I knew I had to hurry because the next few were not too far behind. I needed to live! For now I needed to live, as much as I wanted nothing more than just go to sleep and never wake up to this nightmare I promised myself and her that I would make this my second chance.

Then I felt it

The large river of blinding warmth

In a swift motion I brought both my arms up in a standard blocking motion, and with it I felt a sliver of the river be pulled up with me, a large sliding sound came from right in front of me. The next thing I hear were several hollow thunks. Slowly opening my eyes I was met with a large chunk of earth, once again. Unclenching my hands and lowering my arms, I slowly made my way to the other side of the slab. Ignoring Jiraiya's incredulous look I took stock of where the shuriken would have hit me. For sure I would have died.

Exhaling, I made sure the buzzing stream still had a hold on the warmth, I widened my stance a little and drew my hands up into the same position. Clenching my hands into fist I thrusted my arms out; and with it went the slab, a grinding sound and trail of dust following it. A small smirk of satisfaction made its way onto my face. Bringing my hands down to my side I simply brought my right foot up and slammed it into the ground, and with that the hunk of earth slid back from where it came with all the little shurikens dissipating into a loud poof.

Twirling around I was met with a lazy ass Jiraiya sitting cross leg resting his big head on a fisted hand. A rather ironic mix of fascination and bored colored his stupid face.

"Well I'll be damned"

Jiraiya was a very guarded man, to say the least being a spy master of the shinobi world, though many took his lackadaisical demeanor as an open invitation. So when a girl from a glowing ball of light with absolutely no chakra shows up and gives him the biggest expedition/headache he's had in years, he wasn't open to believing shit that came out of her foul mouth. From her promise of not running away to her tale about being an oracle (basically), but seeing her actually manipulate the natural chakra that was lying just underneath the surface of the rock they were seated on, and have no sage mode to speak of and using no hand signs, was a rather interesting development.

Not to mention her knowledge about the Ame orphans. Only six people knew about it, three of which he was positive were dead and the other two would have killed this girl long before she would have gotten that kind of miscellaneous information. If she truly was what she said she was than she was in an immense amount of danger. If the wrong person was to hear about her knowledge they would stop at nothing to have her.

Much like those puppets. The ones he took care of said nothing as the slinked their way into action, but once he was finished with his and found his way to the brat he heard the one near him speaking, granted it was in another language. Not that that was uncommon in this world, any shinobi with a world map would know the elemental nations were not the be all and end all of this world, but what was strange is that she responded in the exact same dialect, almost as if they were from the same world. But that was impossible because as disgusting it was that puppet had chakra, and a fair amount of it from what he glimpsed.

Jiraiya could only assume that it would only take the risk of confronting him, to get her for that very knowledge, and possibly the little nature ability as a bonus.

Yes, a very dangerous burden

As if reading his mind the little brat looked up from the fire they built to look him in the eyes. There in the glow of the fire and the moon she looked quite beautiful. It was strange that somehow she possessed the body of a woman; with her full figure, large breast, and plump thighs, with the remnants of baby fat clinging relentlessly to her waist and upper thigh. And then have the face of a child; round and pudgy with pouty lips, and large brown doe eyes. Eyes filled with nothing but self-loathing and a deep resentment for the world. Jiraiya wasn't a stranger to eyes like those, in fact they reminded him of Tsunade's eyes quite a bit, but unlike the Slug Princess's eye the little brats still had a small semblance of innocence. Once again Jiraiya had himself wondering just how old she was, and why he had a pool of pity slowly filling up his gut…

"Earlier you changed the subject when I mention the orphans. I don't really care about them at this point but we need to talk about where I stand with you about this," calling him out without any hesitation, how bold, but she wasn't wrong. Those childlike eyes now hardened like flint, like how he was use to them being.

"Ah, so I've been caught!" he called dramatically, always playing the loud fool, "Well that's a pretty vague question you have there, so let me ask you one in return. How do you want to be standing with me right now?"

"I need you not to breathe a word of my foreknowledge to a single person from this village or any of your associations."

Straight to the point again. Giving the area a sweep, and deeming it safe, he discreetly activated the privacy seal he placed on the shrine courtyard.

"Now why would I do such a thing?"

"Because you know there are higher ups in your village that would use this information to achieve the devious little schemes they have up their sleeves."

Danzo and the council; so she knew about them.

"Still not enough of a reason for me to save your hide."

A pause. She seemed to be deeply contemplating something. With a deep sigh she continued.

"Has the Uchiha clan been wiped out yet?"

Jiraiya stiffened. Yes, in fact it happened not but two months ago. Leaving one eight year old Sasuke Uchiha an orphan, and his traitorous brother one of the most wanted rouge ninja from the Leaf. His pause must have given her her answer, because the next words were a rhetorical and cryptic inquiry.

"Now knowing who Itachi Uchiha is and what he stood for and who his clan is, do you really think he pulled this whole thing off of his ow volition?" at this point she wasn't even looking at him, just staring dazedly into the warm embers.

Letting his head fall into his hands Jiraiya clenched his eyes shut. He had heard the rumors of a possible coup' from the noble clan, but they were just that, rumors. To think that Danzo would….

And his teacher covered the whole thing up.

But that would explain the joining of the Akatsuki thing. Opening his eyes and facing the girl Jiraiya made a solemn vow.

Itachi Uchiha's sacrifice would not be in vain!

"I'll bite, but only if you answer one question honestly," his quick silver eyes capturing her coopery brown ones, "In the first village we were in you mentioned being a murderer, what did that entail?"

A deafening silence blanketed them as their gazes held one another. One of a burning need and heavy revelation and the other of a spiteful spirit and somber acceptance. He needed to know her, to know her sins before he could protect her.

"I killed my younger sister."

More silence

"I was told by everyone that it wasn't my fault because it was an 'accident', but in the deep inky pit that's my soul I know I murdered her. I was always jealous of how she was treated, how special she was deemed by people who would, and could never show me the same softness. So now she's rotting in a pine box in a shitty cemetery. She'll never know love or heart break. She'll never know what its like to go through finals or what it feels like to do all-nighters. She'll never have sex, get married or have kids. I stopped all of that by putting her in that shitty box at the age of thirteen."

"What was her name?"

Getting up and heading for the spot where she laid her blanket she called over her shoulder.

"I don't have a right to say her name, maybe if I've redeemed myself and you're still alive by then, I'll tell you."

Laying down she rolled over to face the forest.

"I can assume that I've bought your silence, so do me a favor and come up with a cover story for tomorrow, will yah?"

Grunting Jiraiya got up and quickly put out the fire. He couldn't help but find the whole thing darkly hilarious, the brat and Tsunade were eerily similar.

Two bitter souls searching to redeem themselves of deaths they think they indirectly caused.

Sighing as he leaned up against the nearest tree, Jiraiya couldn't help but feel older and heavier. As much as he wanted to have faith in his teacher, the Second and Third Shinobi War showed him just how gullible and forgiving his teacher was to the council and his old team mate.

What had the old man gotten himself into now?

By mid day the shitty pervy sage and I had finally made it to our destination
