Lucy rose, feeling completely beat. She had been training the past three days with Natsu and felt herself getting drained. Sitting up on her bed, she stretched her muscles out, as she did every morning, then proceeded to the washroom to get ready to take on the day. Before entering the washroom, she looked into her closet for some clean clothes. Deciding on a pink, halter top and black leggings, she turned around.

What she saw filled her with shock. At first she was pleasantly surprised, she couldn't help it.

"Sting," she smiled warmly at him. He actually decided to come in and surprise her. And he brought her breakfast. I mean, who doesn't love croissants?

"Good to know you remember my name," he smirked at her without a doubt, with a hint of cockiness in his voice.

But that feeling of pleasant surprise quickly left her and was replaced with panic as she rushed to her window and closed her blinds. What if someone from her team decided to show up unexpectedly?

They did have a tendency to do that…

"You idiot! Do you not think?" she scolded him for his carelessness as she smacked the back of his head.

"Ouch!" he rubbed the back of his head, "I was thinking, y'know? I was thinking, 'hey, I'm going to be leaving the country for three months to get ready for the Games, so maybe I should go say bye to the girl I'm interested in.' I didn't think I'd get fucking hit for that," Sting told her in annoyance, glaring at her.

"Oh is that what you thought?! How about thinking things through. Like, I don't know, 'what if Lucy's team decides to be so incredibly lovely and wake her up this morning since we're leaving town today!'" Lucy knew she shouldn't be so angry at Sting, but she definitely didn't want to explain his presence to her team. She wasn't up for the awkward chats or them being upset she didn't actually tell them.

"…sorry?" Sting replied, completely and utterly confused.

I really don't get why she's mad, Sting thought to himself, looking down at his pastries, before looking back up at her. Sure, they haven't been talking for a while, but for the first time in a damn long time, he was only really interested in one girl…and it was her.

He wasn't even sure why. All he knew is that this girl in front of him grabbed his attention in a way most others didn't. She made him yearn for her, without her even knowing it. She got him to go out of his way to visit her and say bye before he left and that definitely wasn't something Sting did for women.

He hit it and quit it. He didn't hug it and care about it. That wasn't his style. Yet here he was, the day before he left for training in the apartment of a girl he just started talking to.

Even Rogue was in shock when he said he was heading to Magnolia.

The way he was looking at Lucy made her want to wrap her arms around him and just share a sweet morning with the Dragon Slayer. He had a look in his eyes, unlike any other he had given her. Normally, he gave her a lust driven look, or some sort of look of pride.

It was different this time, and she couldn't figure out how.

Sighing in defeat, Lucy took hold of his hand and led him into the kitchen. "Make yourself at home. I'm going to shower," she told him. When he nodded in agreement, she disappeared into the washroom.

As she did, he took out a plate to place the croissants on. He ended up getting them two chocolate filled croissants that morning. Filling two glasses with milk, he sat at the dining table, waiting for her.

What the actual fuck am I doing? Sting questioned himself. This wasn't his damn style and it was bugging him beyond belief. He hadn't really thought it through when he took the train ride to Magnolia just to see her. He didn't understand his actions. All he understood was that she was special. Lucy was damn special.

And when she walked out of the washroom, he noticed her attire and how perfectly they hugged her body. It was impeccable, the fact that whatever she wore would just make her body look so damn defined.

That very second, all his confusion completely disappeared and he walked towards her, his eyes never leaving hers. As much as his desire wanted to so badly ravage the girl, he knew he shouldn't. Not yet, at least.

So instead of doing what he so badly desired to, his hand just slithered around her waist and he pulled her into him, her body pressing onto his and fitting perfectly, like she was his missing puzzle piece.

Then, he just stood there, not really sure where to go. He wanted to just dominate the girl that very moment. The way her ass was so perfectly defined in those leggings made him want to spank it. The way her top was caressing her breasts, although not showing off any cleavage made his curiosity grow. And that little piece of skin she was showing off. Her little waistline, so perfectly cinching in before it grew out for her curves.

He wanted it all but he didn't want to rush it.

And before he could do anything, he felt her warm lips press onto his, so softly kissing him. Telling him that she thought about him, that she missed him and maybe even appreciated his coming. She wrapped her arms around his neck and allowed herself to just melt into him, kissing him ever so gently, because with her sober mind, she knew that, although their physical attraction was real, she wouldn't let that be the basis of whatever their relationship was. She wouldn't let her desire be the prominent role.

At least she hoped it wouldn't.

As Lucy part away from the kiss, Sting whispered into her ear, "I don't see why you're leaving for training when you're going to lose regardless."

That definitely did it.

She shoved him off of her, and glared at him. "You're funny," she noted in sarcasm.

This only caused him to smirk as he responded, "Tell me something I don't know."

"Jerk," She retorted.

"Sexy jerk," he corrected, with that not-that-cute-at-the-moment smirk on his face.

Lucy's glared only lasted a few short seconds because she realized that there was obviously going to be a rivalry between the two guilds. There wasn't much she could do about that. She shook her head and couldn't control her lips from curving upward at that oh-so-dorky grin on his face.

"There we go. Now that you're done being a sour puss, let's eat!" Sting declared, sitting down at her table, waiting for her to join him.

Tilting her head to the side in confusion, she mused, "Sour puss?"

"Unless you want me to taste it to see if you're a sweet puss," he chuckled.

And upon hearing such a comment, Lucy's cheeks turned bright red with embarrassment at his boldness.

"Really? Really! Did you have to say that?" Lucy smacked his arm.

Crossing his arms in response, he held a neutral tone as he said, "You act like it's not going to happen when you and I both know it will."

"This conversation is ending now," Lucy's cheeks flushed furiously as her overactive imagination put images into her head that she wondered why she was thinking about. She really did not want to think about the dragon slayer's tongue creeping up her thighs and…

Dear sweet Mavis, please make these thoughts go, Lucy kept pleading to her thoughts as she turned away from him, mentally slapping herself.

"Notice that you don't deny it?" Sting pointed out, proving his point.

"Stop," She dragged out the word, refusing to turn to face him, finding herself get a little more excited about the thought than she wanted to be.

Before she knew it, Sting had crept up behind her, his arm sneaking up her shirt to plant on her torso. Then, he ever so gently nibbled on the lobe of her ear before saying, "Relax, baby girl. I'll get my taste soon enough."

That moment was so short lived, because he burst into fits of laughter as he felt her body temperature rise at his very touch.

Lucy had just about had it. She turned around, her face blazing red, yelling, "Lucy kick!" as her foot met with his face.

"Enjoy that nap," Lucy gave him a smile.

It didn't make any sense to her. She couldn't understand any of it. Lisanna knew Lucy wouldn't try to get with Natsu again- she just knew it but at the same time she found herself getting incredibly envious of their relationship.

The way Natsu would drag her off. Or say her name. Go to her house, completely unannounced. She couldn't help it if it bugged her. She was human after all.

That, and she did actually like Natsu. Like, she liked him. A lot.

She always liked him. Even when they were children, she knew she had a crush on the pinkette. Lisanna shook her head again. Despite it being a new day, she found herself completely bothered by Lucy and Natsu's relationship.

She knew she had to have a conversation with Lucy, before they all went their separate ways for training. Mira had suggested that she'd go training with her and Elfman, soon. She also heard from Erza that team Natsu would be doing more training, which meant that Lucy would be with Natsu.

Why the hell am I so damn insecure! Lisanna couldn't help but beat herself up for this insecurity. It wasn't normal. Especially when she was beyond certain she was probably just overthinking things.

It had only been three days since the incident and Lisanna knew that she'd be leaving with her siblings to train the next day, so she needed to have the conversation today.

Walking out of her bedroom, Lisanna decided on her resolve and knew she would make it happen. She had to have this conversation.

But did she really? She was sure that they had called a truce and there would be no war for Natsu.

Why am I even thinking about Natsu like this, gosh darn it!

Then, she repeated the name of her distraction into her mind over and over again.

Rogue.

Rogue.

Rogue.

She kept remembering their last encounter as she exited her home. Instantly after, she had a moment of regret and sat on the street in defeat.

She had made such a fool of herself that she was sure he wouldn't want to talk to her again. And her siblings probably scared him off. She was so sure of it.

Elf-nii-chan's protectiveness and Mira's…..Mira-ness…

"I'm doomed to die single!" Lisanna declared out loud on the streets of Magnolia in complete defeat.

"What are you going on about," Sting had suddenly appeared behind Lisanna, rubbing his face in what looked to be pain (as if we don't know why).

"N-nothing!" Lisanna stammered in embarrassment.

Why, of all people, did Rogue's partner have to hear that? It was beyond humiliating.

"What are you even doing here in Magnolia?" Lisanna demanded, definitely trying to divert attention away from the fact that Sting probably heard her.

Sting shook his head, refusing to talk about it. "It honestly isn't much of your concern. You do, however need to not worry about dying single. See, I probably know Rogue better than most people and even though he didn't say jack shit to me, I can read him better than most so don't worry," Sting assured her.

"Now I need to go because the dreaded train is going to leave in 10 minutes. See you in three months," Sting rubbed his face once more before disappearing.

At that moment, Lisanna couldn't help but smile. It was nice to know that Rogue may have felt something. That little shred of hope had given her so much assurance. It wasn't even much since he hadn't even said anything to Sting, but even the slight change in actions mattered to her. She…she liked it.

It was refreshing to know that for once, she was a first choice. She wasn't living in anyone's shadow. She was so use to living behind someone, having her shine taken away from her that it hurt. It was painful. Lisanna shook her head, because she knew that people didn't dull her shine on purpose. They didn't even try to.

If I don't have shine to start, then what's there to dull? Lisanna wondered, as she walked towards the guild, pushing her thoughts far back into her mind. She loved her family. Her guild. She loved them.

She just wished she could have something that made her special.

I don't really know what you think about this, but I really think I can work with this version of Lisanna. Not sure what you think of it but I hope you can see where I'm coming from. I will definitely elaborate on this more in future chapters, but for now, that's all you'll get.

So I do really hope you enjoyed this chapter. I will definitely have more RoLi in subsequent chapters, promise.
