ME NO OWN FAIRY TAIL
So...here's the next chapter to this story.
I think I'm just trying to focus more on other relationships outside the LuLi friendship and the romances. I guess with this story, I am looking at adding side stories. Like the Cana and Laxus thing that I started to dabble into here.
I do want to touch on team Natsu too, and just a little bit of other characters in the show. If there was anyone you really wanted to have an important side story, feel free to let me know.
In addition, I do want to forewarn you that certain side stories may get full chapters dedicated to them and that's because I don't want this story to be extremely messy or confusing to follow.
Anyways, I love you to the moon and back.

Chapter 8
Her eyes looked out at the mountains, the sunset kissing the land in front of her, painting the scenery a beautiful orange color. It was the first time in the past three months she had felt so calm. Everyone was getting ready to head back to Magnolia tomorrow, but Lisanna was too busy enjoying the scenery. She knew she wouldn't have the opportunity in a long time.
She decided over the months she wouldn't bother participating in the games. She didn't care about that anymore- it didn't matter. The three months did more for her than she ever deemed possible. They liberated her. She was able to have time where she wasn't constantly compared to those around her and that gave her a truly freeing feeling.
Before leaving, she did want to practice one last thing. It was just a clear indication of just how much stronger she became.
And with a change of her eye color, and a whip, the ground in front of her first shook vigorously, then smoked up. Once the smoke cleared up, in place of the plains was a crater.
"Really, you really didn't need to destroy all of that?" she heard a deep voice from behind her say.
Turning around, her lips curved upwards, into a smirk. "You have to admit it's pretty damn bad ass, though."
"I mean, I could tell you that and make your ego grow, or I could pretend it's absolutely no big deal and I like that idea better," she heard his deep laugh.
"Like I pretended hearing whatever her name was scream your name last night was no big deal?" Lisanna teased the older man.
"What are you even planning on doing with that?" Lisanna pushed the topic. "I mean, I know you two have a weird connection but like, you have Cana back at Fairy Tail and honestly, she's my friend and I think she has a right to know about that, Laxus."
The lightning dragon slayer scratched the back of his neck in response, "I don't think you get that Cana and I had this non-exclusive friends with benefits thing."
"I sense bull shit," Lisanna snapped in response. "You two are damn protective of each other and you would make it seem like no one was allowed to hit that ass- sweet Mavis, I've caught on to your vulgar lingo," The youngest takeover mage scrunched her nose in disgust.
"To avoid questions. Neither of was wanted to tell the whole world we were in love with someone else. I wasn't about to say shit about her to the rest of Fairy Tail when we haven't talked since the whole Fantasia incident. And Cana wasn't about to say anything when she was pretty sure her man didn't wait. And shit, I don't blame him. Who the fuck would go seven years without a fucking?"
Over the past three months, the two mages developed quite the friendship. It was almost like the rekindling their relationship needed after Lisanna was sucked into Edolas. Laxus and Lisanna always had a special type of platonic friendship. He saw her as the little sister he never had so when he saw the extremely stressed out takeover mage at the train station looking for Lucy about five minutes too late, three months ago, he couldn't help but want to cheer her up. He wasn't the best at comforting people so he just invited her to tag along. And let's be real, who would deny a three month training session with Laxus.
"I mean," Lisanna thought for a second. "We don't need to talk about people's sex life!"
"So I'm hoping you'll allow us to move along from that topic," Laxus smirked, when he saw Lisanna's cheeks turn bright red. "What are you going to do about Lucy?"
"There's nothing to do. I'm over all that shit. I'm over that why does no one love me shit. I don't even fucking know why I cared so much," she spat in disgust.
Laxus laughed at that, "Now I'm the one calling bull shit. Shit, kid, you're definitely not over it and you know it. You can't get over the fact which is why you still get worked up when I bring it up."
"Shut the fuck up, Laxus," then she paused, "Fuck! I swear, three months with you and I curse like a mother fucking sailor. Do you see what you've done to me?"
"Your sister is going to kill me," Laxus thought aloud, "Anyways, 'Sanna, let's head to the train station."
"Yeah…" She sighed. It was back to reality. Back to Natsu and Rogue and Lucy and Mira and Elfman and the Games and…being in the background. Back to the usual.
"Like I said, you're not over it," his voice slightly softened when he saw Lisanna's face fall.
"I'm better than I was though," Lisanna admitted.
To help with her aching muscles, nothing felt better to Lucy than a bubble bath in the comfort of her own home. To her, the moments she spent with Sting before training were fresh in her mind and although they had lost three months training time, she was nothing but thankful for Ultear's magic.
Lucy was, however slightly skeptical of how powerful it could make her, but she decided to trust in the time mage. Enjoying the water completely soak her body, she thought about Lisanna. Lucy hadn't had the opportunity to say goodbye to her newest friend, so she wondered how the youngest takeover mage was doing.
Sighing deeply, Lucy thought about it again. The games were in a week and although she so badly wanted to spend a day with Sting, she wasn't sure how wise it would be. Especially with her aching muscles, travelling wouldn't make the most sense.
Still, she wasn't able to stop thinking about the devilishly attractive dragon slayer. It was on that realization that she decided she would head towards his city and see how he was doing.
Surely, she could pull off being a tourist.
Then again, she most definitely did not want to seem like one of those clingy not-girlfriends following their not-boyfriends everywhere. Lucy didn't want to scare him away.
She…well…she missed his lips. She was also well aware of the fact that when they went to Crocus, it would be much harder to actually go see him. They were competition so if she was caught kissing his ever so sweet lips, it wouldn't look the best for either guild. The reporters would also get quite a kick out of it.
No.
Lucy couldn't go see Sting. It wouldn't be right, even if she did miss him.
But his abs looked so damn nice. They way the bar lights would coat that area of skin, accentuating his already defined midsection with the shadows making them look even more blessed. Just remembering it made her feel all sorts of hot and bothered again.
She couldn't help it that he was damn sexy and just had a way with her. She couldn't help the fact that the chemistry between the two was simply impeccable. She most definitely couldn't help it that he knew how to kiss.
Lucy had dealt with bad kissers before and there was no way he was a bad kisser. He, thankfully did not use his teeth (which happened to her once and she couldn't fathom who thought it would make a good kiss if he tried to have teeth wars with her. Was he trying to bite her damn tongue off? I mean, she didn't mid a few nibbles, but she felt like he was trying to reenact a Walking Dead scene on her…ew).
He knew all the right ways to use his tongue, his body and his presence. Ohhhh his presence! He had such a charisma that you could see from a mile away. He knew just how to talk to impress just about anyone. The way he would put certain things was just perfect.
If there was one thing she wasn't use to, it was this stupid teenaged crush.
What was wrong with her?
She shook her head, deciding it was finally time to end her bath and wash up. Earlier that day, Erza had told her that it would be Team Natsu participating in the Games and the last thing she wanted was a whole other mishap of her sounding like one of Sting's fan girls every time he stepped on stage.
She couldn't help if that he was so damn hot!
After getting clean, Lucy went through her mail for the past three months, making sure everything was fine with respect to her finances. Upon looking through those letters, she couldn't help but smile at a certain, neatly written letter that was addressed to her.
Seeing that it was from Sting, she found herself opening envelope without a second thought. First, she took note of just how neat his writing was before actually reading what was written.
Sexy,
Just wanted to let you know that you literally have no chance at winning the games. Let's just say that Sabertooth's got a few tricks up our sleeves so you're basically screwed.
If you're a little butt hurt about the loss, I'll rub it better.
Sting.
PS, Dinner at Le Baton Rouge in Crocus on guild registration day. I'll be waiting.
Lucy found lips curving upwards, uncontrollably. To think that he actually thought about her to the extent that he wrote her a letter? That was just plain sweet. She couldn't help it if someone she couldn't stop thinking about thought about her.
Then she read over the note again, her smile quickly disappearing.
"I won't be butt hurt!" she screamed out to no one really. "Fairy Tail will win this!"
Did you like it?
