Hello.

For those of you who have not heard of me, I am AuthorD and this is the most recent author's note to the SAF Serial.

For those of you who have, the reason I have not updated is because that this summer was mainly spent preparing for 3 AP courses in my junior year, and they are indeed, tough to deal with. I have not had time to even think about updating, mainly because I'm trying to rest. This is, to be quite frank, my most difficult year yet. It also doesn't help that this is the year I take the ACT, the PSAT, and the Writing Proficiency.

However, I'm not going to pull the plug on this story. I most certainly do not want to, not when I'm actually making and formulating ideas for it.

Besides the real life issues, the other issue is me trying to plan ahead as best as I can. I've been looking at a lot of works where potential ideas just get thrown away, and I'm seeing the downsides of the "Writing by the seat of your pants" trope (With Naruto and Adventure Time suffering from it, Naruto especially, Adventure Time, not as bad, but still there). One thing I want to make sure is that all of the plotlines I make here, and the characters that would relate to it, are not wasted (Though Adventure Time never really forgets its plot points).

Hence, another reason that this chapter is taking so long.

It's going to be about 3 or 4 times longer than the other chapters so far to work. I intend to dump the set-ups for the upcoming plotlines in this chapter, and several others. Why? Because again, I don't want anything to be wasted whatsoever, and I want the dialogue to click. I also want to rewrite Chapter 1 for this purpose. For me, Chapters 2 and 12 work in their current form, but Chapter 1 is garbage, utter garbage. It's an awful way to start off a story and I'm ashamed of writing it. It's the equivalent of me handing in a math test where I don't show my work.

For those of you skeptical of this so-called grand arc, I hereby present several plot details so even if I decide to pull the plug on this story, at least my ideas won't be forgotten.

1. LOVEMUFFIN will not fall to the wayside in favor of the SAF or the upcoming other threat mentioned in the story summary, I intend to have them become deadlier threats down the line, MUCH deadlier, though still comedic. I also want to tie them into the overall myth arc somehow, and spoilers, they're the villains of the 2nd arc.

2. The other organization mentioned in the story summery is called Enigma, the SAF's business rival. You probably know who some of their agents are. Why are they interested in the kids? I won't spoil this one much, but let it be known that it's part of the "Take That" to shipping and romance.

3. As to this "Take That", I intend to take the one ship that everyone talks about in this show (And thus writes fics for): Phinabella (Cuts off hands for typing it), and corrupt it into the most twisted horror this side of various Yandere Anime. How does this happen in story? Heh, heh, that's a secret that involves a snail.

4. And speaking of ships, no Ferbnessa or whatever you call it. I'm not having a love triangle here. I'm not skilled enough, and I've never seen it done right anyways.

5. I intend to introduce 2 other criminal organizations like the SAF and Enigma later down the line.

6. I will include my hatred of two particular topics in this story. Hints on which are on my profile.

7. Any character changes here will be because of plot events out of the character's control, MAJOR plot events.

8. There will be the end of a certain Deus Ex Machina in the upcoming chapter.

9. THE VOID ENLIGHTENS ALL.

Also of note, this Author's Note won't be coming down like the others.
