"Doctor 's okay," Rose mumbled. "I'm fine really; jus' got a stomach ache that's all."

"No, no, no, see that's exactly why you are not okay," the Doctor argued as he wrapped a blanket around her shoulders and leaned her back against the headboard. "You have a stomach ache, and stomach aches mean pain, and that means you in pain, and that mean not okay."

He placed a hand to her forehead for a couple moments before bringing it away and placing it on her cheek.

"Your temperature is three degrees above average, Rose," he said with concern in his voice. "You're practically burning up! This is very, very not good."

"Oh come on, Doctor," Rose rolled her eyes with a laugh. "It's not that bad."

"You're very hot, Rose."

"Thank you."

It was his turn to roll his eyes as she gave him her tongue touched grin.

"Anyway," he glared at her playfully. "Because you're so hot and have a stomach ache, you have to stay in bed for the rest of the night until you get better."

Rose opened her mouth to protest but the Doctor simply put a finger to her lips and said in a sing-song voice, "Doctor's orders."

"Fine," Rose sighed after he took away his finger. "Maybe I am a little tired…"

"See? I told you so," the Doctor gave her a soft smile and reached out to brush the hair off of her face. "Now you get some rest and then you better feel better in the morning; I've got us booked to see the Elvis Reincarnation Tour in 7560."

"Mmm that sounds fun," Rose hummed as she snuggled down under the sheets. "I promise I'll try not to get sicker."

"Good," the Doctor smiled as he leaned forward to give Rose a kiss to her temple. "Sleep well."

He got up then and was about to leave when Rose murmured, "I'd sleep better if you'd stay…"

Smiling, the Doctor turned back around and leaned over her, with his hands on the mattress. She looked up at him, a hopeful smile across her face.

"If I stay," the Doctor began with a smirk. "Will you promise to not get sick on me?"

"Maybe," Rose said thoughtfully. "Or maybe you could just curl up behind me?"

"Done," the Doctor grinned. Rose let out a giggle as he clambered over her and snuck under the sheets, making sure he was spooned behind her.

"Now get some rest," he said mock-sternly as he placed a kiss to her neck and wrapped a arm around her waist.
