"Doctor, where are you taking me?" Rose laughed, reaching up and trying to pull the blindfold from her eyes.

"Oi! No peeking, missy," the Doctor said as he took her hands away. Rose giggled as he gripped her hands tightly in his and began leading her out of the TARDIS.

"Seriously, where are we going?" Rose repeated. Wind blew softly around her and she could feel the warm sun against her skin. Grass tickled her bare feet and the smell of something sweet met her nose.

"It's a surprise," the Doctor said in a sing-song voice. "That's why you're blindfolded, Rose."

"No really?" she said. "I thought this because you wanted to play blind man's bluff."

"We can play blind man's bluff it you'd like," the Doctor smirked. Releasing her hands he bounced away, leaving Rose groping at thin air.

"Come and get me!" the Doctor called to her. "If you catch me you can take the blindfold off!"

Rose laughed and stumbled about trying to catch her Doctor. He, in return, would come up behind her and tap her shoulders before scampering away. They continued playing this way for a couple minutes before Rose tripped over a stone and fell forward with a little scream.

"Woah! Careful there!" the Doctor rushed forward and caught her, wrapping his arms tightly around her with a giggle. Rose gripped his coat lapels to steady herself.

"Gotcha!" she said triumphantly. "Hmm, now let's see who this is…"

Rose brought a hand up, tracing the Doctor's features with a smile. He chuckled as ran her fingers along his sideburns, nose, and eventually along his lower lip. Rose hummed as he pressed a quick kiss to her digit.

"Mmm, I think I should be able to take this blinder off now, Doctor," Rose said. "I did catch you."

"Right you are," the Doctor smiled and reached up to gingerly pull the scarf off her head. Rose blinked as bright light met her vision. Soon the Doctor's face came into focus, a happy and excited look on his face. Rose stepped out of the Doctor's embrace and began to look around at their surroundings.

They were in a large clearing, with giant trees stretching to the sky surrounding the grass. The grass was pale green in color, but there was hardly any of it that could be seen. This was because as far as the eye could see, thousands of flowers covered the earth, each one a vibrant color; roses, violets, daffodils, tulips, orchids, and hundreds of different types. The breeze blew petals around, swirling them in the air and around her legs. A smile spread across Rose's face as she took it all in.

"This place is beautiful!" she said in awe, turning back around to look at the Doctor. A giggle left her lips when she saw that he has some rose petals wedged in his hair. He spread his arms out to her and she ran over to tackle him in a tight hug. He laughed with her and spun her about before setting her down gently.

"Happy birthday, Rose," the Doctor smiled in her hair, before pulling back to share a gentle kiss with her.
