Rose walked down the TARDIS hall, rubbing sleep from her eyes.
"Morning, Rose!" the Doctor's voice called. He was shuffling along in the opposite direction and gave her a wave. She returned with a yawn, "Mornin' Doctor."
He smiled and walked past her. Strange, he usually would accompany her wherever she went once she woke up. Shrugging, she continued walking down the hall and went into the kitchen.
Sitting at the table, a half cup of tea in his hands, was the Doctor.
"Morning, Rose!"
She blinked at him. Her mouth opening and closing silently as she stared at him. Hadn't he just been in the hall? There was no way he could have walked past without her noticing. What was he doing here?
"Is there something wrong?" the Doctor frowned. He got up from the table and walked over to her, concern on his face.
"Er," Rose started and shook her head. "No, I don't think so?"
"Well that's good," he beamed and then went behind to gave her a small push toward the table. "I made you some coffee!"
"Oh, thank you," Rose smiled. "I need some of that."
She turned her head to look at him—Where'd he go? The Time Lord wasn't behind her anymore.
"Rose?"
Whipping her head back around, she saw the Doctor standing by the table again, holding up her coffee.
She gaped at him.
He grinned back.
"Okay, hold on just a second," Rose walked up and pointed a finger at his chest. "What's going on? How are you getting from the hall to here, to the table to behind me, and to here again?"
"Who said I'm not still behind you?" the Doctor's voice breathed in her ear. Letting out a squeak in surprise she jumped away and heard the sound of dual laughter.
"Oh you two!" Rose crossed her arms and stared at the two time lords before her. Both were wearing identical suits and grinning like idiots.
"Gotcha!" they said in unison and then proceeded to high-five themselves.
"Very funny," Rose tried to keep a stern face but couldn't help but smile.
"Aren't we just?" One of the Time Lords said and the other nodded. Together the turned to Rose and said, "Oh yes!"
Letting out the laugh she'd been holding, Rose ran toward them and wrapped an arm around each of their necks, pulling them down for an awkward three-way hug.
