Sorry once again for the wait and sorry again this is going to be another short chapter.
3rd Person POV 10 minutes later
Outside the Peach Dome buzzed with excitement, as all the tournament participants took a 30 minute break before the Semi finals. Yoshi and Birdo suddenly came down the walkway, both sweating a bit. Yoshi turned to his Wife.
"Wonder how it went?" he asked a little out of breath. Birdo turned to him.
"She's probably disappointed that we didn't make it in time to see it…." she whispered her voice sounding ashamed. Yoshi walked over to her, sympathy on his face. Just as Yoshi was about to say something to her.
"What an exciting first round today"
"You've got that right, excellent matches ALL over the place"
"But you have to say that the highlight of the first round….
Has gotta be the match between Wario and Waluigi
Vs Shelly and Dash"
Both Yoshi and Birdo jumped at the sound of their Daughter's name.
"They played against those two?" Birdo suddenly gasped as they ran over to the closest TV screen in the area. Both of them stared at the screen still taken aback by the surprised that Shelly and Dash had been pitted against the two BIGGEST trouble makers in the ENTIRE Kingdom. Birdo and Yoshi suddenly looked up at the screen as they saw Wario smack his butt, then the clip switched showing Shelly and Dash's reactions. Both Yoshi and Birdo glared. "Expect him to do something inappropriate and disrespectful like THAT" Birdo huffed glaring at the screen now showing Wario and Waluigi again. Yoshi gave a huff in agreement.
"After a dazzling display and footwork the match goes to Shelly and Dash"
The announcer's voice suddenly sounded. Yoshi and Birdo were both driven from their thoughts of anger at Wario and Waluigi, they both looked back up at the screen. Seeing Dash jumping up and down, while Shelly stood there, a look of disbelief but also satisfaction on her face. Dash suddenly ran up to Shelly almost running into her. The camera then went to Wario and Waluigi. Wario stomping his foot, while Waluigi was pounding the ground with his fist. Birdo gave a snicker as she watch the two boys' embarrassing display.
"Somebody got taught a lesson in respect" Birdo laughed glancing at the screen, as it suddenly went back to Shelly and Dash. Yoshi laughed as well. "That's MY Girl" Birdo replied nodding at screen, which showed Shelly and Dash laughing for their victory. Both Yoshi and Birdo glanced at the screen one last time, then slowly walked away with the smiles growing on their faces.
"ATTA GIRL SHELLY!"
