Okay sorry guys, here comes another short chapter...heh a long chapter fallowed by a short chapter seems to be a trend here LOL Anyway enjoy Chapter 9 everyone :)

Dash and I were hurried over to where Toadsworth was waiting for us.

"Congratulations you two, you put up an outstanding fight" he replied, handing us our Silver 2nd place trophy.

"Thanks Toadsworth sir" Dash and I both replied. Toadsworth nodded and turned to go back to his post.

"Almost got your Parents"

Dash and I quickly turned around to see King Mario and Queen Peach. My face grew red with embarrassment.

"Yeah…not this time…." I mumbled my face growing redder.

"But still, for your first match that was impressive" King Mario complimented.

"Yoshi and Birdo have been playing for years, you should be proud, that was a CLOSE match" Queen Peach replied, glancing over to my Parents, who both were looking in our direction.

"Thank You….." Dash and I both answered.

"Keep up the good work kids" Both King Mario and King Luigi replied. We both nodded.

"We will" we both said at the same time, Dash laughed at me.

"Good Job Shelly and Dash" came Ilario, Angela and Azalea's voices. We turned to see our 3 royal friends approach us.

"It was SOoooo DARN close" Dash and I both jumped as Koop and Parry came into view as well.

"But still you had them on their TOES" Azalea laughed "The look on your Dad's face when you used his own shot against him was PRICELESS!" All 7 of us laughed. Suddenly Ilario, Angela and Azalea's parents called for them.

"See ya after the Award Ceremony guys" Azalea replied, Ilario and Angela nodded. Almost immediately after Ilario and the others disappeared from sight Koop and Parry's parents called for them as well.

"Bye Shelly, Dash" Koop replied, turning to leave.

"Congratulations Shelly Dash!" Parry called running after her brother and taking his hand.

"We almost CREAMED 'Em Shelly" Dash whispered, I gave a laugh.

"Maybe next time…" I whispered back. As we made our way to the Award Ceremony for my parents. Just as we made our way through the large crowd of people.

"SO Pathetic"

I quickly turned to see a local boy staring at Dash and I. "You could've had that Championship Won if you had just Flutter Jumped that last hit" he replied shaking his head at me. "And YOU'RE suppose to be the child of Yoshi….WHAT-A-JOKE" he scoffed, looking over and walking past us. I was speechless. I suddenly felt Dash's hand take my arm.

"Don't listen to him Shelly" he replied, however I didn't respond. I felt my heart ache and my eyes filled with tears. As I suddenly made a run for the locker room.

"SHELLY!"
