Sorry this will be my last update for a few weeks ( ^^; Back to school )

-Hours later Back at Yoshi, Birdo and Shelly's house-

Both Yoshi and Birdo stood outside their house, worry obviously shown on their faces.

"The suns' almost gone…..Where is she?….." Birdo whispered, her worry very apparent. Yoshi turned to his wife. He couldn't help but worry as well. Shelly had never come home this late before, she knew how panicky her Mother was about her safety. Yoshi frowned as he stared at the sun, he turned to Birdo.

"You stay here Birdo, in case she comes back" Birdo nodded but was plagued with a strong sense of déjà vu.

Hours later Yoshi slowly trudged back home. He had searched for as long as he could but the darkness had forced him to cut it short. As he climbed up the hill he was disheartened to see Birdo in the exact same spot that he had left her. Upon seeing Yoshi, Birdo burst into tears. This had said everything, Shelly had not come back and Yoshi hadn't found her. Yoshi rushed up the hill and attempted to comfort Birdo.

"What if something happened to her!" Birdo sobbed, Yoshi's face tightened with fear.

"Don't say that…..I'll search the entire island" he huffed. He looked up at the starry sky as if pleading.

The night didn't go well for Birdo, she stayed up all night, not allowing herself to fall asleep. Yoshi try as he might couldn't get Birdo to rest. When the sun finally came up, Yoshi was eager to continue his search. Birdo was persistent in her attempt to fallow Yoshi, but he insisted that it was best that she stayed at home. Birdo could only nod tearfully as Yoshi ran off into the forest.

Hours later

Yoshi panted not out of exhaustion but frustration as he came back home. He had searched the ENTIRE Island top to bottom, even asking his friends if they had seen Shelly. But came back again without his Daughter or any hint of where she might be. As he entered the house, Birdo didn't even look up. She knew without seeing that he hadn't been successful in finding their Daughter. Yoshi sat down next to Birdo, however she suddenly stood up.

"Yoshi…" she whispered, her voice sounded deeply afraid. Yoshi stood up and looked at her. "You don't think she could have went back to…." However she didn't finish, she didn't want to believe that Shelly would go back not after what had happened the first time. Yoshi's eyes narrowed. "You don't think she went back to Blargg's pit….."

"No…" Yoshi responded almost immediately. "She wouldn't go back, she hasn't gone back since that first time" Yoshi hesitated. "She learned from her mistake, she's smarter than that" While he didn't want to believe that Shelly would betray their trust again and endanger herself at Blargg's pit…that had been the only place that Yoshi had not searched for Shelly. He didn't want to believe that after all that had happened to her, that Shelly would endanger herself again by going there. Yoshi looked down at the ground but looked up again. "I'll look there…" he whispered knowing he couldn't just toss this aside he was confident that he had searched the Island top to bottom. The only other place he could search WAS Blargg's pit.

About 3 hours later Yoshi returned home, feelings of both frustration and somehow relief plagued him. The frustration greater than the relief however as once again his search for his Daughter had ended fruitlessly. The only "bright" side he could think of was that he was confident that Shelly had NOT been to Blargg's Pit as he couldn't find any sign that she had been there. However that feeling of relief was short lived as he approached his house…He would once again have to return to his Wife without their Daughter. As Yoshi entered the house he found Birdo sitting on the couch. At first Yoshi thought she was asleep however within seconds she had turned to him. She didn't even have to say anything, the look in her eyes and the expression on her face was all Yoshi needed. He approached her and sat next to her. For a while neither of them said anything.

"It's been almost 3 days…..Yoshi….." Birdo finally whispered, her voice almost breaking. Yoshi shut his eyes tightly, with the reminder of the harsh reality of the situation. "You've searched everywhere and asked EVERYONE on the Island…." Yoshi finally nodded. Despite his determination, he knew that he couldn't continue his search alone.

"If she wasn't at Blargg's Pit, then she CAN'T be on the Island, she must be somewhere back in the Mushroom Kingdom….." Yoshi whispered. Birdo looked over at her Husband. "It's time we asked Mario and Luigi for help." Yoshi turned to Birdo.

"Back to the Mushroom Kingdom"

Well I hope you all enjoyed Chapter 13, as I said this will probably be the last update for a few weeks...hopefully no longer than a month. I just need to get school stuff sorted out and I want to get more of the story written (don't want to get to the point where I update faster than I write (I'd rather you all only have to wait a few weeks rather than a few months)
