WOOT New Chapter on a FRIDAY! :) Yeah I know I normally post on Sunday but it's kinda windy down here and windy means possible random wireless disconnection LOL So I don't wanna risk making you all wait another week for this Chapter SOoooo EARLY CHAPTER! ENJOY everyone :D
Ilario, Angela and Azalea had gathered up Dash, Parry and Koop and were in a discussion.
"It's been a WEEK now….." Ilario whispered looking panicked.
"And they don't even have a CLUE as to where Shelly is…." Angela whispered glancing at each of her friends. Dash, Koop and Parry had been told of Shelly's disappearance by Ilario as soon as he discovered that his friend had gone missing. He felt it was essential to tell his three friends before they had a chance to ask Yoshi and Birdo about it. Both of them were in enough pain as it is and Ilario didn't want the chance of one of his friends asking them about Shelly.
"We can't stand around anymore…..we have to do SOMETHING!" Azalea whispered furiously. All her Friends nodded in agreement.
"We're not helping Shelly by standing around doing NOTHING!" Dash rang in.
"But where do we start?" Parry asked Koop nodded in agreement with his sister. All six friends grew silent for a bit.
"Well for starters, I heard Father telling the search team that Yoshi had searched the entire Island and didn't see any sign of her…." Ilario replied. Angela nodded signifying that she had heard the same thing. "So why don't we start with the beach…the Harbor is there and that is the only Official way to get between Yoshi's Island and the Kingdom" Everyone agreed as they walked into the Garden. Dash suddenly stopped the group.
"What is it Dash?" Koop asked anxious to begin searching for Shelly.
"Parent alert…" Dash whispered pointing around a hedge, everyone poked their heads around the hedge and sure enough, Mario, Peach, Luigi, Daisy, and even Yoshi and Birdo were sitting near the fountain, blocking the ONLY way out of the Castle. All six friends gave disappointed groans.
"How are suppose to get past them….." Azalea whispered irritated.
"There is NO way Mother is going to let us leave the perimeter of the Castle….. Not with Shelly still missing….." Ilario whispered. Angela and Azalea nodded in reluctant agreement.
"Neither will my parents" Azalea whispered as she stared at her parents.
"Should one of us go out there and distract them?" Koop asked turning to Parry and Dash, which seemed to be volunteering one of the three of them.
"We can't risk it, if one of you guys show up and start a conversation, our parents might get suspicious as to why you aren't with us….." Ilario started shaking his head. All his friends stared at him, somewhat convinced. "And on top of that…..Yoshi and Birdo don't seem to be in the greatest spirits for talking right now…." Ilario finished looking over to Yoshi and Birdo who his Mother and Father were now talking to. Ilario insisted they all look over at Yoshi and Birdo, all of them did so. Yoshi and ESPECIALLY Birdo looked completely torn apart. And it was obvious that Birdo had been crying at some point. Yoshi put his arm around Birdo and she covered her face with her hands. All six friends watched their missing friend's parents with extreme sympathy.
"We'll find another way out…..We NEED to do this…." Dash whispered his voice almost cracking. Parry nodded and turned to her brother, her eyes were filled with tears. Koop then turned to the three Royals.
"Is there anywhere on the grounds where there is some point of access?" he asked looking mainly at Ilario and Angela as it was THEIR Castle. Ilario seemed to be thinking. Parry suddenly jumped making everyone else jump.
"I know I can fly over to get a look at the lay of the land…there's GOT to be some other exit" she gasped giggling. Koop shook his head slightly at his sister's over-excitement.
"That might actually work" Koop whispered looking over at Ilario and Angela.
"Great idea Parry" Angela replied smiling. Just as Parry was about to take off, Angela stopped her. "But lets get behind a statue or something so our parents don't see us" Everyone nodded and quietly snuck over to a nearby statue out of their parents' sight. Angela turned to Parry once again. "And be careful not to be spotted by the Palace Guards they're guarding the entrance and the back area, Stay out of sight" she whispered, Parry nodded.
"You can count on me" Parry answered nodding as she took off into the sky, her friends watching her anxiously. While in the air Parry scanned the Castle's perimeter, when something suddenly caught her attention near the back of the Castle there was a hedge. Parry cautiously flew to get a closer look. To her relief as she approached the hedge the Castle Guards Angela mentioned were looking in another direction. Parry slowly landed and crept near the hedge to her surprise there was a very narrow hole in the hedge, JUST large enough for someone to crawl through. "This is it" Parry whispered excited. "We're coming to find ya Shelly" she whispered, completely forgetting to fly and broke into a run to return to her friends. Just as she made it midway of the Castle.
"Parry, what are you doing out here?"
Parry suddenly froze and quickly turned to come face to face with Toadsworth. He stared at the young ParaTroopa with a worried expression.
"Oh, I'm looking for my brother…..Toadsworth Sir" Parry answered somewhat panicking. Toadsworth advanced Parry.
"You shouldn't be wandering the Castle grounds all by yourself Parry…." Toadsworth replied sternly, although Parry could sense a hint of worry in his voice.
"I'm sorry I just got distracted and Koop ran ahead of me…I was trying to catch up with him" Toadsworth nodded.
"Well you steer clear of here alright?" Toadsworth replied.
"Yes Sir" Parry answered nodding.
"Now run along and let your brother know what I said" Toadsworth instructed, Parry nodded again.
"Bye Toadsworth Sir" Parry replied nodding at the elderly Toad and started to walk away. Toadsworth watched the young ParaTroopa disappear from sight. As soon as Parry turned the corner she let out a sigh. "Why'd I have to get caught?" she whispered her pace sluggish. However as she walked she caught familiar voices.
"What's taking her so long?"
Parry jumped at the sound of her brother's voice and broke into a run. Parry turned the corner to see her friends waiting for her.
"Parry there you are" Angela said as Parry ran up to meet them.
"What took you so long?" Koop asked staring impatiently at his younger sister.
"The Castle is a large area Big Brother" Parry panted, looking up at her older brother. Koop gave a slight smile.
"So what'd ya see?" Dash asked impatiently. Parry turned to look at all her friends.
"I found a way out" she replied all her friends' faces lit up. "Near the back of the Castle, there's a hedge that has a hole in it….we can crawl through it" Parry finished. All the friends smiled at each other.
"Great Job Parry" Koop said turning to his sister, however Parry's face fell.
"What's wrong Parry?" Angela asked. Parry sadly looked up at her friends.
"But Toadsworth caught me on my way back…." she whispered ashamed. Everyone jumped.
"What'd he say?" Ilario asked his voice panicked. Parry looked up.
"He told me I shouldn't be wandering the grounds alone and to steer clear of the back area…." Parry answered frowning at her now disheartened friends.
"Where did he catch you?" Azalea asked.
"Midway of the Castle….he looked worried…." Parry answered looking at her brother.
"Well if we're REALLY careful we can sneak between hedges…." Ilario suggested. "Until we pass the area where Toadsworth was"
"But won't that make a lot of noise?" Dash asked as he stared at the hedges.
"NOT if you know how to do it" Azalea laughed, everyone turned to her. "Remember when we all used to play in the garden, I fooled you guys ALL the time" she laughed, her friends smiled.
"And scaring the heck out of us in the process" Ilario laughed at his cousin.
"Show us the way Parry" Azalea replied, Parry nodded.
"This way!" she giggled as everyone hustled into the hedges.
Ten minutes went by and thanks to Azalea's advice all six friends made it to the end of the Castle without alerting anyone. One by one each of the friends slowly crept out of the hedge to avoid alerting the Castle Guards of their presence.
"Is this the place Parry?" Angela asked. Parry quickly nodded.
"Yep YEP" she whispered excitedly. "Right there" she whispered pointing at the small hedge. All six friends approached the hedge.
"Alright we'll each go through one by one, so one of us can keep an eye on the Guards or if someone is coming" Ilario whispered, everyone nodded in agreement. Azalea went first fallowed by Angela, then Parry, Dash, Koop and finally Ilario. As the six friends emerged from the hedges, they were taken aback with shock. The hedge had led to a cliff that the Castle was on, all the friends were just inches from the edge.
"Wow, I didn't think we came this far behind the Castle" Ilario whispered as he looked over the edge.
"Just everyone be careful, no running until we get to a more wide area" Angela instructed. Everyone nodded in agreement and with their backs to the wall slowly walked across to the other side.
The walk took almost ten minutes, when the friends suddenly made it into the clearing.
"Whew….that…that was harder than it looked…" Koop panted as he looked at the ocean, Parry patted her brother's back.
"But we made it Big Brother" she said, Koop smiled at his sister's optimism.
"Yep we did, now let's get to the Harbor" Koop replied nodding at his friends.
"We gotta do this for Shelly" Dash replied looking out in the distance. All six friends smiled at each other, all of them put their hands together.
"YEAH!" they all called together and made a run for the Harbor.
Okay I think for at least 2 chapters I'll try posting once a week...HOWEVER keep in mind I may have to switch back to 1 chapter every 2 weeks...writers block (combined with school) has been a REAL pain...lately... ^^; despite that I hope you ALL enjoyed Chapter 16 ^.^ Have a GREAT Weekend EVERYONE!
