CHAPTER 19 ^.^ Sorry this ones KINDA short... Just another tying up loose ends kinda thing, regardless enjoy the chapter ^.^

Yoshi looked around as his wife, his CLOSEST Friends and the Friends of his OWN child were suffering. Yoshi gave a deep heave of a breathe…They must have been looking for Shelly….otherwise they wouldn't have left the safety of the Castle's perimeter. They had endangered themselves to search for Shelly. And now there seemed little hope that they would ever recover from this attack. Thanks to him not being watchful enough of his Daughter, not only was she taken, but his Friends' children as well and to top it off the severe injuries of 3 of his Child's Friends. Yoshi shut his eyes, if he hadn't asked Mario and the others for help, their Children would STILL be here and Dash, Koop and Parry wouldn't be in the hospital in critical condition….The only option was to return to Yoshi's Island.

"We can't stay here anymore….it isn't helping anyone…."

Yoshi turned to Birdo then walked up to Mario.

"Mario….Birdo and I are returning to the Island….." Mario in fact everyone in the room turned to Yoshi. "We're not helping anyone by being here…." Yoshi finished, Birdo turned to her Husband also with a guilty face. She walked up to him and took his arm in her own. "Thank you for allowing us to stay"

An hour later...

The mist of the ship beating against the waves of the ocean gently sprayed against Yoshi's face. Yoshi stood at the back of the ship on deck. He stared at the Mushroom Kingdom as it became smaller and smaller as the ship sped away from it. They had only been on board for 30 minutes yet it felt much longer. As Yoshi's mind was filled with thoughts.

"Was this Really the right thing to do?"

Up until now Yoshi had no doubt in his mind that returning home was the best thing for him to do. However as the Mushroom Kingdom began to disappear from sight Yoshi couldn't help but feel a twinge of regret. Yoshi gave a sigh as he stared at the water. Home….the Mushroom Kingdom what difference did it make? Either way he and Birdo would be without Shelly… Guilt slowly plagued Yoshi's thoughts, Mario….Luigi….Peach….and Daisy they were in just as much pain as he and Birdo were now…despite the turmoil Yoshi had felt when he had come to the Mushroom Kingdom to ask for help, he still had a sense of comfort and reassurance when he had been there with his Friends.

"Selfish"

His Friends had given him some sense of comfort…..possibly he could have provided that exact comfort to them…..Yoshi's thoughts were suddenly interrupted as the ship suddenly ported on Yoshi's Island's docks. Yoshi's previous thoughts were temporarily put aside as he joined Birdo and they both got off the ship and made their way back home.

The walk home took longer than usual as Yoshi and Birdo's walking pace had been greatly cut. Finally they both came to the door, at first both of them were hesitant in opening the door. Yoshi eventually opened the door and he and Birdo both stepped inside. Yoshi looked around the house and felt the immediate feeling of emptiness, however he simply stepped into the kitchen to get a drink of water. When Yoshi was done he decided he was going to go to bed early. As he headed for his and Birdo's bedroom he suddenly stopped. Birdo stood in the middle of the hall, staring into a room, Yoshi suddenly felt a familiar tightness in his chest as he advanced his Wife. Birdo stared into the room with longing and sadness at the emptiness of it. Yoshi stopped at Birdo's side, his face fell. Looking into the room that was Shelly's….

*Sigh* Looks like Yoshi and Birdo are feeling a bit guilty... Sorry this chapter is pretty short but on the bright side the next chapter should be up by next Friday AND it'll be a longer one ^.^ AGAIN THANK YOU ALL
