ESPECIALLY when they are 3 DAY WEEKENDS! *screams loudly and excitedly* Yeah sorry juggling all the school and the stress that comes with it, a 3 day weekend is REALLY welcomed ^.^ ANYWAY I'll get to what you all REALLY want to see :) CHAPTER 25! We last left our Heroes at Star Shrine (A Mario and Luigi Partners in Time Reference :D ) What will they discover? LETS FIND OUT!
Birdo, Peach and Daisy could only stare completely in awe as they advanced the Star Gate. They had heard stories and Peach had even read about Star Gate as well as Star Shrine in books but NOTHING could have prepared them for this, ACTUALLY standing before such a important icon of their world. Even Mario, Luigi and Yoshi were a bit slow on making their way over to Star Gate, they KNEW the importance of Star Gate and they KNEW that he was to be respected. As the group of 6 suddenly stopped in front of Star Gate, a almost blinding light flashed, causing all 6 Friends to shield their eyes. Upon opening their eyes, the group saw Star Gate himself come to life.
"Ah I've been expecting you!" Star Gate's voice boomed, sending chills to pretty much everybody EXCEPT Mario.
"Yes Star Gate we received your message about the missing items from Star Temple." Mario answered nodding.
"We've also come to ask about the Prophecy that was stolen as well." Peach's voice suddenly sounded, although it was obvious that she was a little nervous about speaking to Star Gate.
"We were told that you know the Prophecy in it's entirety." Birdo also replied. Star Gate looked over at the 3 Females, he couldn't help but notice a great power flowing through them.
"Of course the Prophecy, I have memory of ALL important events over thousands of years, the Prophecy is merely a SENTENCE compared to all the other important things I must keep track of."
"Could you please tell us the Prophecy Star Gate?" Yoshi asked almost pleadingly.
"Of course, however listen carefully I do not care much for repeating myself." Yoshi gulped again as the serious tone of Star Gate somewhat intimidated him. Star Gate suddenly began to speak in a almost monotone yet overpowering voice. The Group listened intently hoping that this Prophecy would help lead them to their missing children.
"Earth and Sky
Ocean and Mountain
Sun and Moon
All in Perfect balance
But a Great Darkness Dwells in sight
Which may put this World a plight
However amongst the peril
A Glimmer of Light may well be in sight
For 4 Stars of Light
Have the Power to vanquish the Darkness
However small these Lights may be
They'll surely grow with Time
But should the Greatest Darkness of Greed
Take control of these Precious things
His Might will Grow
And Victory maybe in Jeopardy"
The Star Gate seemed to pause for a brief second, however before anybody could ask, Star Gate continued.
"3 Larger Lights shall be forced to take
A much unexpected trek
Stars
3 Most Coldly Hated by Him
Must Journey afar
Finding their own hidden source of power
Between Sky and Mountains
With the 3 Stars of their eyes
Who will also need their own hidden power
To gain access where the Final battle lies
Hurry they must
For time runs short
The Essence of Being
May already be in Great Jeopardy
For if there is no Essence In these last Chosen 3
The Remaining 1 will cease to be
And Victory cannot be seen
The Greatest Darkness will make this World
A very dark one Indeed"
A moment of silence alerted the group that Star Gate had finished. Everyone except Yoshi looked a bit confused. Thoughts rushed through his head, as one of the Prophecy's lines was very familiar to him.
Stars, 3 Most Coldly Hated by Him
That very sentence while not entirely the same was pretty much what he had heard in his dream, the night before he had discovered Shelly's footprints. The VERY sentence that had given him a new rush of determination to search the Island top to bottom again despite searching it already. If it meant finding some clue, that would help lead him to the whereabouts of his missing daughter. Also the mention of the Essence of Being Yoshi had heard about in his dream as well but that segment had already been brought to his attention back at the Mushroom Kingdom Castle. So that part hadn't come as big of a surprise. Was it possible that he had somehow had a dream about the Prophecy? A Prophecy that he HADN'T even heard until just now? Yoshi tried to comprehend what could have possibly caused that phenomenon, however the sound of Mario's voice pulled him out of his thoughts.
"So the Prophecy is referring to 6 Stars in total….." Mario said, turning to each of his Friends.
"And the Greatest Darkness…" Peach also chimed in. For several minutes the group simply contemplated on what the Prophecy could possibly mean.
"4 Stars of Light have the Power to vanquish the Darkness…." Mario thought allowed. Luigi suddenly looked confused.
"But didn't it mention 6 Stars?" Luigi rubbed his head proving his confusion. "Why would it only be referring to 4 Stars here?" The Group turned to each other it was obvious that they too were baffled by this fact. Yoshi shut his eyes and tried to think about why the Prophecy would mention the 4 Stars then suddenly mention 6 all together. What made the 4 Stars more special than the remaining 2? As Yoshi thought, he suddenly jumped with realization, he had overlooked one part of his dream.
"Star Child….3 Most Coldly Hated by Him….."
He had totally forgotten that his dream had referred to Star Child NOT just Star.
"Star Children…" Yoshi said aloud, Mario and the others turned to him. "The Prophecy is referring to us….." The Star Gate seemed to have a slight smile on his face upon hearing Yoshi. Looking over at Mario, Luigi and Peach, Yoshi continued. "Mario, Luigi, Peach and I are the 4 Stars of Light….the Star Children" Mario and the others seemed to understand. Remembering the engravings on the wall of Star Shrine, that Star covered in that mist. "And Bowser…." Yoshi shuddered upon saying his name. "Is the Greatest Darkness."
"According to the Prophecy Bowser could possibly have the power to destroy the World." Mario suddenly voiced his thoughts.
"What about the Journey afar, Finding their own hidden source of power?" Daisy suddenly asked.
"It also mentions something similar towards the end." Peach's voice also sounded.
"With the 3 Stars of their eyes, who will also need their own hidden power." Birdo finished.
"Stars of their eyes…..what does that mean?" Luigi asked. Birdo turned and looked at Peach and Daisy, the Prophecy had some mention of the Star Children, which were of course Yoshi, Mario, Luigi and Peach. However WHY would the Prophecy suddenly say 3 instead of 4?
"3 Most Coldly Hated by Him"
Birdo thought for a moment when suddenly it came to her. Obviously Bowser didn't HATE Peach and despite Daisy and herself helping to foil Bowser's plans, that hate CERTAINLY couldn't compare to the 3 Greatest and Well Known Heroes of the Mushroom Kingdom.
"It's US!" Birdo suddenly said aloud. Everyone turned to her, however Birdo mainly had her attention on Yoshi. "When the Prophecy mentions the 3 people most coldly hated, it's referring to the 3 People that Bowser COLDLY HATES…..which as we ALL know are You, Mario and Luigi." Yoshi's eyes suddenly widened with the realization that Birdo was right. Throughout the years he, Mario and Luigi had been the ones to cause Bowser's plans to fail, so it was obvious without a doubt that Bowser hated them with a passion. "We've all come to a conclusion that the Prophecy as a whole is referring to 6 Stars…..Yoshi, Mario, Luigi…" Birdo stopped. "Stars of their eyes is just ANOTHER way of Saying Apple of their eyes…" Everyone was staring now. "Which are Peach, Daisy and I." Yoshi let out a gasp of surprise at his Wife's cleverness.
"So the Prophecy if referring to all 6 of us….and that we need to find some hidden source of Power to get to Bowser…" Yoshi replied.
"But what KIND of hidden power?" Daisy asked. The group suddenly jumped as a loud rumbling chuckle came from the Star Gate.
"Well it seems you've figured out most of this Prophecy by yourselves, so I guess it wouldn't hurt giving you a bit of a hint…." The group stared at Star Gate, somewhat confused. "While the Prophecy doesn't straight out mention this, the hidden source of Power that it refers to are Stars" Everyone still looked slightly confused.
"Stars, like the hidden Stars in our hearts….as Star Children?" Luigi suddenly asked aloud. Daisy shook her head.
"It wouldn't have mentioned Birdo and I if it were referring to that, we aren't Star Children." she answered, Mario nodded in agreement.
"You can't just gain a Star Child Status, we're born with it." he replied. Peach seemed to be thinking.
"What about the Power Stars like at the Castle?" she suddenly asked. Everyone seemed to agree with that and looked up eagerly at the Star Gate. The Star Gate chuckled.
"Now you're on the right track. HOWEVER each Star is found in Unique locations, seeing as there are 6 of you, I would say that you all have 6 hidden Stars to find." Luigi seemed a bit unnerved.
"If they are hidden, do you think we may need more people on the lookout?" he asked turning to his friends.
"I'm afraid you won't be taking the easier way, the Prophecy implies that the 6 of you will find the Stars it does NOT imply that you receive help" Luigi and the Group nodded. "Also the Stars can ONLY be found by the one it is destined for."
"You mean each Star is assigned to each of us?" Daisy asked.
"Correct, which means that even if ALL 6 of you look in the same place, no matter how many times and how thoroughly only the one CHOSEN for that Star will be able to find it."
"How are we suppose to know where each of our Stars are located?" Yoshi asked, somewhat baffled that all this time there were Stars hidden SPECIFICALLY for THEM?
"I am unable to give you the locations of each Star, however what I CAN tell you is that each Star is located in an area that represents the person it belongs to somehow." The group turned to each other. "That is ALL I can tell you, but find all 6 Stars and you will be able to access Bowser's New Location where the Final Battle Awaits." The Group didn't say anything for a few moments. Until finally Mario broke the silence.
"If Bowser stole the Prophecy does he possibly know about these Stars and that we need them to get to him?" The Star Gate chuckled.
"Very good question, that would make your journey that much harder….However the Prophecy that Bowser stole is merely HALF of the original Prophecy…" Everyone jumped startled.
"He only stole half the Prophecy?" Luigi asked baffled.
"Of COURSE did you REALLY expect me to keep the ENTIRE Prophecy where it could be STOLEN SO EASILY?!" The Star Gate boomed seeming a little irritated. "While I CANNOT see into the Future, I still have some insight on the intentions of people who have access to Star Temple. So I simply put HALF the Prophecy on display, in case such a event were to occur…"
"So up to what point does the Prophecy Bowser have stop?" Mario suddenly asked.
"The Prophecy that Bowser acquired ends at…And Victory maybe in Jeopardy…" Mario and the rest of the Group turned to each other. "Which means it is likely that he has no idea that there is a way to possibly defeat him."
"You all know what that means don't you?" Daisy suddenly chimed in. "After he stole that Prophecy Bowser thought that we'd be unable to get to him Let Alone STOP him." Everyone nodded, knowing where Daisy was going with this. "He let his arrogance get in the way of his planning and judgment."
"Well I believe you all got what you came here for." The Star Gate's voice suddenly sounded. "So I suggest that you all get on to finding those Stars."
"Thank You Star Gate." Peach thanked, as the Group turned to leave.
"I wish you luck in your quest FAREWELL!" Another flash of blinding light and Star Gate vanished.
"Lets report back to the Professor maybe he can provide us with more information." Mario suggested. The group traveled back through Star Shrine and back to the Teleport panel, hoping that the Professor could provide them with more answers and bring them one step closer to saving their children.
WOW LOTS of information there :D Sorry if the Prophesy confused you all even more ^^; But it FINALLY looks like Yoshi, Birdo and the others have a plan of action now. ^.^ Finding Bowser may not be so easy as it was in the Past, but at least they have a clue as to what will bring them closer to finding and Saving Shelly, Ilario, Angela and Azalea :D I thank ALL my readers for the continuous support and I Hope to see you all NEXT TIME on "A COMPLICATED DESTINY" HAVE AN AWESOME WEEKEND EVERYONE!
