HEY how's it going? 4 DAY weekend ^.^ So I decided to post the chapter early today. I will be honest, my writing hasn't been going as fast as I had hoped…. ^^; But I don't think a 1 month wait is going to be a problem yet :D Hopefully I can get the next 2 Chapters written these next 2 weeks :D BUT enough of that LETS get on to what you all REALLY want to read ^.^ Without further ado A Complicated Destiny Chapter 27!
As the group wandered down the long hallways of the castle, silence plagued every one's mind. Several minutes would pass before Yoshi decided to break the silence.
"So where do you think we should start searching first?" Everyone slightly jumped startled as they hadn't expected Yoshi to speak and his voice slightly echoed in the hallway. The group of friends slowed their walking pace slightly, followed by a few minute silence. "
I haven't got the slightest clue….." Mario whispered slightly embarrassed. Throughout the years Mario had almost always been the one to save the Kingdom, almost ALWAYS the one saving the day. However this time wasn't the same as all the other adventures. Despite all the adventures, all having their own difficulties and challenges. All of them had at least a hint as to where he was suppose to head. THIS time however they had almost nothing to go on. Sure they knew what they were suppose to do, but they had NO idea on where and HOW they were suppose to find their hidden Stars.
"There are times like this, when a little more information would have been nice…." Luigi mumbled, his voice also echoing down the halls. Everyone gave nods in agreement, when suddenly a loud buzzing sound interrupted their thoughts. Luigi flinched startled, as he realized that the buzzing sound had been coming from his pocket. Reaching into his pocket Luigi pulled out his Gameboy horror, to which the buzzing sound got even louder, sending echoes down the hall. All the adults jumped startled at the Gameboy horror's outburst. Luigi stared at the Gameboy horror also confused, when suddenly E Gadd's face suddenly appeared. "MAMA MIA! OH! PROFESSOR!" Luigi gasped jumping in surprise of E Gadd's sudden appearance. E Gadd laughed.
"Sorry Sonny, it seems you've found something." he replied brightly. All 6 adults looked confused.
"What do you mean Professor?" Luigi asked. "The Gameboy horror just started going berserk so I was checking it to see what was wrong."
"There's nothing wrong with it Sonny, it's just letting you know that you've stumbled across a Star's location." E Gadd said confidently. All 6 friends jumped.
"STAR, we're still at the Castle Professor!" Peach suddenly gasped. E Gadd smiled.
"Well it seems you have found the location of one of your Hidden Stars!" Mario and Peach jumped startled. They both looked around, HOW could there be a hidden Star? They were in a simple hallway.
"How could there be a Star here?! We've lived here for YEARS, wouldn't someone have at least NOTICED it by now?" Mario asked completely astonished.
"Remember Sonny the Star Gate SAID ONLY the one meant to find the Star will be able to locate it." E Gadd reminded. Mario and the others turned to each other, they had completely forgotten about that aspect.
"But how will we know who the Star is for?" Peach suddenly asked. E Gadd looked over at Peach.
"Well Ma'me, I would say you or Mario would be the ideal candidates." He answered, Mario and Peach turned to each other.
"Well Mario has searched through the ENTIRE Castle before TWICE!" Peach started, before Yoshi and Luigi spoke up.
"Yoshi, Wario and I also." Luigi added, Peach nodded.
"And NONE of them found an out of place Star….." Peach stopped for a moment. "And I've lived here my ENTIRE life and I've never noticed a Star, other than our Power Stars…" Peach finished. E Gadd seemed to be thinking.
"Well Ma'am it's possible that the Stars have been dormant for all those years….." The 6 Friends stared, listening intently. "It's possible that they haven't appeared because they haven't been needed until now…." Everyone was silent for a moment. Finally E Gadd broke the silence. "Well that's all I can tell you now Youngsters, just focus on searching for that Star…it's meant for one of ya so you'll find out who it's for soon enough" The 6 friends were still a little boggled and didn't respond. "Good Luck Youngsters!" The Gameboy Horror suddenly shut off. Mario and Peach turned to each other. Who could the Star possibly be for? Mario couldn't help but feel that what the Professor had said was right, the Star was located in their Castle so it HAD to be for either Peach or himself. Mario turned towards Luigi, Daisy, Yoshi and Birdo, finding the Star was going to take a while. If what the Professor said was true Luigi, Daisy, Yoshi and Birdo would be unable to provide help and would be forced to fall back while he and Peach searched for the Star.
"Unfortunately this may take a while…." Mario replied, as he glanced at each of his friends, before turning to his brother. "Luigi, if what the Professor said is true, you, Daisy, Yoshi and Birdo aren't going to be able to help us locate the Star….." Mario started, before Luigi suddenly interrupted him.
"NO way Bro we may be unable to find the Star, that doesn't mean we can't provide some kind of help." Mario opened his mouth to speak, however Luigi continued. "We're all in this search together and don't forget my sleuthing skills can come in handy in these kinds of situations." Luigi replied proudly before continuing again. "And besides all of us can still provide something in this search." Luigi finished, as Daisy, Yoshi and Birdo nodded in agreement.
"Luigis' got a point Mario…" Yoshi replied, nodding.
"EXACTLY, you and Peach aren't going to hog all the Castle searching to yourselves." Daisy added with a smile.
"We're in this together." Birdo also replied nodding. Mario and Peach both turned to each other and smiled.
"Well, let the Star searching begin…" Peach replied. All 6 friends nodded and continued their way down the hallway. Everyone walked in silence as they were all focused on their surroundings. Hoping to perhaps catch a glimpse of something that would somehow point them in the right direction. Mario and Peach were especially focused, knowing there somewhere in their Castle a Star awaited one of them.
WHOO HOO! NOT even out of the Castle yet and they've ALREADY located a Star Location! ^.^ Yeah, I HAD to put one here…BUT who is the Star for? LEAVE your guesses in the review section.
