WELL LOOKS LIKE MCGoldYoshi is FINALLY….And I mean FINALLY back! ^^; How long has it been….? A MONTH?! WHEW…..That's a long time…. WELL you'll be happy to know that, I've been getting back into the swing of things….A bit of a warning though, this Chapter may hold some….Well "bad" news…..But I think the bit of good news that comes after will make up for that. SOooo without further ado…CHAPTER 29!
Much to the groups' disappointment it was sunset when they arrived at Sarasaland Castle. Knowing that it would be too dark to continue their search the 6 Friends reluctantly forced themselves to rest, for the night. However early the next morning the group was up and ready to continue their search. They all met in the Castle garden. Both Luigi and Daisy seemed a bit uneasy.
"I tried calling the Professor this morning to see if he had any new information for us." Luigi explained as he looked over at each of his friends.
"Well what did he say?" Mario immediately asked. Peach, Yoshi and Birdo looking hopeful.
"Well that's where the problem comes….." Luigi started, his voice not at all hopeful. "For some reason the Gameboy Horror wouldn't connect to him." Luigi finished, however this time he seemed frustrated as well.
"Which is strange since the Professor called us, just before we docked last night." Daisy said, also looking vexed.
"It's almost as if we've lost all contact with the Mushroom Kingdom…" Luigi spoke again. Mario, Peach, Yoshi and Birdo looked at one another.
"Maybe the connection was just out of whack this morning…" Mario suggested, turning towards his brother. "The Professor could've encountered problems with his connection, try it again Luigi." Mario insisted, Luigi however seemed a bit doubtful.
"I'll try again…" Luigi started pulling out the Gameboy Horror. "But I don't know if it'll…" Luigi was suddenly cut off as suddenly a quiet but screeching buzzing sound erupted from the Gameboy Horror. The group of 6 flinched slightly not expecting that kind of sound. Luigi's face returned to frown as he showed the group the Gameboy Horror. The screen showed nothing but static and blinked a few times before turning off. "I've never encountered this problem before….." Luigi sighed, returning the Gameboy Horror to his pocket. The group seemed a bit disheartened.
"Well we can't stand around moping about this…..Inconvenience…." Daisy's voice suddenly sounded. "We have a Star to search for!" Slight smiles returned to the rest of the groups' faces.
"Daisy is right….We can't rely entirely on the Professor." Birdo spoke up. "The Prophecy spoke of us finding those Stars….And we're going to find them!" Yoshi in fact everyone smiled in return.
"Let's head back into the Castle, maybe we can find some clues." Daisy suggested, everyone agreed. Heading back towards the Castle, Luigi suddenly felt a slight chill run down his spine. Luigi stopped for a moment as a strange sense of foreboding plagued him. He glanced over at Daisy and was surprised that she too had stopped and seemed uneasy about something. However confused glances from Yoshi and the others got them moving again. Upon entering the Castle the sense of foreboding became even more prominent, Luigi glanced around nervously as the group headed for the Throne Room.
"Hey Luigi, what's the hold up?" Mario's voice suddenly rang, causing Luigi to jump. Luigi started to walk a little faster, when the group finally came to the Throne room doors. Just as Luigi grasped the door handles Daisy's voice came into view.
"Hey, is it just me or does the Castle seem a little quieter than usual?" Her voice spoke, causing a quiet echo down the halls. Everyone looked around curious.
"And emptier…" Birdo's voice suddenly replied. The group was silent for a few moments.
"Maybe they're just wandering around elsewhere…." Luigi mumbled nervously, as he tugged the doors, before being met with a startling sight. The entire group stared in befuddlement, at what was before them. A mysterious figure sat several feet in front of them, sitting upon Luigi's throne. A figure all too familiar to Mario and Daisy. A figure that made Daisy slightly cringe at the thought of that horrible memory all those years ago.
YEAaaah I know it's short….But I didn't want to give away the "Mystery Guest" JUST yet….SPEAKING of which….Here's the "bad" news I was talking about….So I'm just gonna rip it off fast….like a Band-Aid…. (^^; Strange I know) SO HERE'S THE DEAL, As I've said I have gotten at least 2 Chapters worth of writing done in these past few weeks…BUT for this particular Chapter I'm gonna add a catch. Before I post ANY more chapters I want at least 1 REVIEW from someone….And that review must include a GUESS on WHO they think Sarasaland Castle's "Mystery Guest" is. Until that happens I'm not touching the story. Sorry guys…I know how badly most of you wanna know what happens, but I'm VERY interested in what the rest of you have to say. So until I get at least 1 review (and a guess on the "Mystery Guest") , "A Complicated Destiny" won't be getting any more updates… Again I'm sorry, but most likely that "hiatus" won't last longer than 2 weeks :) .
Also I have made yet ANOTHER Video game reference in this chapter….I'll even give you all a hint, the reference is made by Mario :p …. If you all wanna take a guess on what THAT reference is, I'd greatly appreciate it! ANYWAY GOOD LUCK WITH THE GUESSING EVERYONE! I'm curious as to what you all will guess. OH YEAH HAVE AN AWESOME WEEKEND!
