...Heh look who is FINALLY BACK! ^^; Sorry it took me a while guys...A LOT has been going on lately, but FINALLY we can get back to the story! Lets see who the "Mystery guest" is...
The familiar figure smirked directly at Daisy, before glaring at Mario, who in return glared back. For a moment nothing was said, the unwanted guest just stared at the 6 individuals. Despite the silence the air was tense. The trespasser suddenly stood up causing the 6 friends to jump into a defensive stance.
"TATANGA!"
Both Daisy and Mario shouted furiously, gaining an intimidating chuckle from the intruder.
"Heh heh Yes, it's been a while hasn't it!" Tatanga chuckled again. "Too long in fact…" His smile faded a bit. The group kept their defensive stance. "But I think it's as great a time as any to finally take what is mine!" Tatanga gave a obsessive stare at Daisy. Daisy despite her well-known courage seemed to cringe at Tatanga's words. Luigi stepped in front of his wife defensively.
"Well you CAN'T have her!" He growled his teeth clench, although his legs were slightly trembling. Tatanga let out a amused chuckle.
"My my, how threatening!" Luigi let out a irritated growl. "I'd have more of a challenge fighting a Goombo!" Tatanga mocked. Luigi clenched his fists angrily and took a threatening step towards Tatanga. However Tatanga simply threw a punch at Luigi, connecting it slammed into Luigi's gut sending him flying behind Daisy. Luigi let out a gasp in pain.
"LUIGI!"
Everyone's voice echoed, Luigi however forced himself to stand and yet again charged at Tatanga. However Luigi suddenly felt his body collide with a hard surface. Falling to the ground Luigi looked up shocked to see that NOTHING was in front of him. Daisy quickly turned around and tried to run over to Luigi however an invisible surface prevented her from moving any further. A loud chuckle from Tatanga caught the groups' attention. Tatanga smirked at Daisy.
"I'm sorry my Dear, but these peasants are sitting this battle out!" Tatanga chuckled as he suddenly made a lunge for Daisy.
"DAISY!"
Luigi called out for his wife, as Daisy skillfully dodged the alien's attack.
"VERY skillful my Dear, but dodging isn't going to get you through THIS battle!" Tatanga chortled, once again making an attack at Daisy. However this time Daisy wasn't going to take the defensive route this time. As soon a Tatanga was just inches from her Daisy threw a skillful kick at the fiend's gut. Tatanga gave a irritated grunt as the blow knocked him several inches back.
"WAY TO GO DAISY!"
Both Birdo and Peach cheered with glee, watching Tatanga grimace slightly in pain. However to the girls' shock, he looked back up at Daisy with a insane grin.
"Very well played my Dear, but as you can see…a mere kick cannot defeat me!" Daisy responded also with a grin, however it also had a hint of frustration in it.
"Yeah right, that why you just cringed like a pathetic baby just now?" She snickered, her frustration also in her voice. The smile on Tatanga face faded.
"You choose your words unwisely my Dear, I shall overpower you and will finally take this Kingdom and yourself and my own ONCE AND FOR ALL!" Before anyone could react Tatanga suddenly wrapped his huge muscular arms round Daisy's torso.
"DAISY!"
Everyone called, panicked at what the insane alien had in mind. Daisy seemed to buckle to the alien's heavy weight, she winced as she took her left hand and gripped her offender's underarm.
"YOU'LL NEVER TAKE OUR KINGDOM!"
She suddenly hollered, as she miraculously heaved her offender over her shoulder and unto the ground. Everyone gasped in astonishment and there was a minute long silence. Keeping her distance Daisy stared at the seemingly unconscious alien. Despite the fact that he seemed out cold, Daisy wasn't going to take the chance. It seemed unlikely that an opponent of this size could be knocked out by a simple throw down. And as if one cue, Tatanga suddenly pulled himself up with growl.
"Very impressive….." He hissed, not at all amused anymore. Luigi suddenly caught a slight glimmer at the corner of his eye. Averting his gaze, Luigi saw that the glimmer had come from the red buckle on Tatanga's belt. The buckle gave another glimmer as Tatanga hissed more insults at Daisy.
"That's got to be the weak point….."
Luigi focused at the belt before giving his attention back to the battle itself.
"But now, I-CRUSH-YOU!" Tatanga snarled, with extreme speed throwing a blow at Daisy.
"DAISY AIM FOR HIS BELT! HIT THE BELT!"
Luigi suddenly called, startling everyone, including Daisy. Despite being taken aback, Daisy ducked out of Tatanga's way and threw another powerful kick. The kick hit bull's-eye as Tatanga suddenly buckled over in obvious pain. Seeing that this attack had obviously caused Tatanga the most pain, Daisy made another attempt at the belt. However Tatanga's hand suddenly grabbed Daisy's ankle and knocked her to the floor.
"DAISY!"
Luigi gasped terrified.
"HOW DARE YOU HARM A LADY!"
Birdo shouted furious.
"TATANGA!"
Mario's voice roared. Peach's voice gasped, and Yoshi's voice shouted. Tatanga simply laughed in amusement, as he suddenly grabbed Daisy's ankle again and dragged her towards himself. Daisy herself seemed dazed from the blow, as Tatanga dragged her closer towards him. The 5 friends stared helplessly as Tatanga took his other hand and seemed readying it for the finishing blow. However Daisy's other foot suddenly collided with Tatanga's face, once again knocking him to the ground. Her 5 friends gave cheers of encouragement and also signs of relief as Daisy got to her feet.
"Strike TWO!" She shouted as her fist collided with Tatanga's belt, causing the alien to again growl in pain. However this time the feeling of victory was short-lived.
"Heh…heh…heh…heh…heh…Ha ha ha ha HA!"
Tatanga's laugh filled the room, causing everyone including Daisy to cringe in fear. The entire Castle began to shake and rumble. Everyone except for Tatanga struggled to keep their balance.
"You think you have WON? HA! IT HAS ONLY JUST BEGUN!" The ground suddenly gave an even greater heave as suddenly something burst from the ground where Luigi and Daisy's thrones had stood. The group of 6 gave gasps of shock, as what was unmistakably a large spaceship now stood where Luigi and Daisy's thrones had been. "NOW THINGS GET INTERESTING!" Tatanga's laugh echoed, as he entered his spacecraft.
"WHAT SENSE OF HONOR IS THAT!" Birdo suddenly shouted. "HOW IS FIGHTING AN UNARMED PERSON WITH A SPACECRAFT FAIR!" Tatanga chortled at Birdo's statement.
"I Tatanga NEVER fight fair! Fighting FAIR is for the WEAK! I HATE the weak!" Tatanga cast an jealous glare at Luigi. "I shall DESTROY the WEAK!" With that final bellow, Tatanga suddenly shot a ball of energy at the group of 5.
"NO!"
Daisy called out terrified, as her friends scrambled to avoid the blast. Luigi however was caught in the blast and was knocked over to a nearby statue of Daisy and himself.
"LUIGI!"
Everyone including Daisy cried out in fear. Luigi remained motionless for several moments. Igniting a laugh from Tatanga.
"You SEE? The WEAK are the first to FALL! You chose THAT fellow as your KING? That WEAKLING as your Partner to Sarasaland? I say to that HA!" With that final word Mario suddenly struck the invisible barrier several times with his fists in anger. An obvious growl came from Yoshi. While disgusted and furious glares from Birdo and Peach were thrown in Tatanga's direction. Daisy's face on the other hand was beyond anger, a look of hatred obviously imprinted on her face. She suddenly opened her mouth.
"I'm-a-NOT weak!"
Silence ensued as the voice hadn't come from Daisy. All eyes bolted over to the statue, where Luigi was visibly struggling to his feet. Tatanga simply chuckled as he watched Luigi attempted to stand himself up.
"THAT'S RIGHT MY LUIGI IS TEN TIMES THE MAN YOU'LL EVER BE!"
Daisy suddenly hollered. Tatanga's smile was once again wiped from his face. As anger set in. Without warning Tatanga suddenly shot another ball of energy at Daisy and the others. Thankfully everyone managed to avoid the attacks this time.
"C'MON YOU GOTTA DO BETTER THAN THAT!"
Daisy taunted, drawing Tatanga's attention away from Luigi and the others and directing his attention onto her. Daisy stood her ground, Luigi on the other hand glanced over at his wife in fear several feet away. Suddenly Daisy saw something glittering at the corner of her eye. Quickly glancing over she saw that the glitter had come from the statue. Without thinking Daisy suddenly made a run for the statue. As she ran, Daisy saw that Luigi must have had the same idea as he too was running for the statue. Dodging several of Tatanga's attacks Daisy finally met Luigi at the statue, only the invisible wall separating them.
"Are you alright Sweetie?" Daisy asked, completely concerned. Luigi smiled at his wife warmly.
"Perfect now that you're here." He answered calmly. Daisy returned the loving smile. Both Sarasaland matriarchy suddenly turned towards their foe. Tatanga laughed manically as he stared at his cornered victims.
"Well it looks like my Victory has FINALLY been WON!" Daisy and Luigi glanced at each other and put one of their hands on the invisible wall against each other. "I WILL BE THE NEW SARASALAND KING! AND SHALL TAKE DAISY AT LAST AS MY QUEEN!" Both Luigi and Daisy glared fiercely. Without a second to blink, Tatanga suddenly shot a ball of energy larger than the others towards Daisy and Luigi.
"LUIGI!"
Mario was the first to yell for his brother, but the others' voices soon joined in.
"DAISY!"
Peach's voice was the first to call out Daisy's name, followed by Birdo's and finally Yoshi and Mario's. Despite the yells from their friends, Daisy and Luigi stayed standing in their spots. Tatanga let out another triumphant laugh, as the ball of energy closed in on the couple. Daisy and Luigi stared firmly at the incoming attack. Before anyone could call out one more plea, the attack suddenly struck the statue and with it a blinding light engulfed the entire room. Before anyone could blink a large glowing flower, which everyone in the room could identify, suddenly emerged from the statue. The group could only stare in awe at the sight, when the glowing daisy suddenly shot towards Tatanga's spacecraft. A loud yell erupted in the room and another blinding light filled the room. Several seconds went by before the light dimmed down enough for everyone to uncover their eyes. In the center of the room, Tatanga was hunched over in a kneel. The group could only stare at him, as suddenly his body began to glimmer before suddenly bursting into crystal dust.
"It was only an illusion…"
Daisy's voice suddenly sounded. Everyone suddenly turned toward Daisy and Luigi. Both Sarasaland matriarchy smiled at each other before sharing a kiss. And with that kiss, the statue suddenly gave off a brighter glow. Before their eyes a familiar sight suddenly appeared in front of the statue.
"We've found it!"
Daisy could only think to herself, tears threatening to fill her eyes. Luigi gave his wife a reassuring smile, as he glanced at the Star, knowing without a doubt, who it was for. Daisy returned the smile and let go of her husband's hand. She approached the Star and held her arms up for it. Just as before a blinding light suddenly filled the room and Daisy felt a overwhelming power flow into her body.
"Number Two…"
Was the last thought that came through Daisy's mind at the glow disappeared. The group of 6 smiled at one another. Silence filled the room for a moment or two before Luigi took his wife by the hand.
"You were AMAZING Daisy!" Luigi whispered, squeezing Daisy's hand.
"But your advice helped a lot Dear." Daisy replied giving her husband a quick peck on the cheek. Mario and the others gave slight amused smiles.
As Mario, Peach and Birdo complimented Luigi and Daisy, Yoshi's attention was drawn to the place where Tatanga had fallen. A strange silhouette seemed to be formed from the crystal dust. Yoshi couldn't quite put his finger on it, but the shape seemed familiar. It almost looked like a house of some sort, only it was fairly large and somehow gloomy looking. After staring at it for a moment or two, Yoshi finally decided to voice his thoughts.
"I think we've found our next clue….." Everyone turned to look at Yoshi, as he insistently motioned his head over towards the silhouette. At first nothing was said, the remaining 5 just stared focused on the shape. Birdo and Peach seemed confused, however Mario seemed a bit unnerved. Silence ensued for several more minutes, before Luigi gave a faint groan as he recognized the silhouette. However suddenly to the groups' surprise a familiar buzzing sound rang through the air. Luigi quickly thrust his hand into his pocket and pulled out the Gameboy Horror. Upon retrieving it the recognizable face of E Gadd suddenly appeared.
"What have you Youngsters been doing? I've been trying to get a hold of ya for hours!" Luigi and the others jumped shocked.
"The Gameboy Horror wouldn't connect us Professor…" Luigi started. "It kept going to static every time we tried to contact you." Luigi finished.
"That's strange…..WAIT a minute…What was I calling you Youngsters for…." E Gadd spoke, suddenly falling silent for a few seconds. "OH YES THAT'S RIGHT, the Star radar went off early this morning! There's a Star hidden somewhere in your area!" E Gadd suddenly finished, excited. Luigi and the others smiled.
"We know Professor…..We've already found it…" Daisy laughed, blushing slightly.
"You all better get a…Wait WHAT you've already found it? That's GREAT work Youngsters!" The Professor exclaimed proudly. "You're all making GREAT progress! It won't be long till y'all have all 6 of them!" The Group smiled at one another, before the Professor's voice caught their attention. "Also….." The Professor hesitated for a moment, he seemed a bit uneasy. "….The strangest thing just happened….." The Professor seemed distracted by something, he appeared to be looking out a window. "Either I'm seeing things….Or that menacing Mansion…Just REAPPEARED outta NOWHERE….." Luigi let out a loud groan, regaining the Professor's attention. "Oh ho ho it looks like I'm not seeing things…." E Gadd chuckled, looking at Luigi's disappointed face. "Judging by that magnificent image behind y'all and that Mansion conveniently reappearing out of nowhere…I'd say y'all have found your next Star location clue!"
"That's just WONDERFUL….." Luigi groaned, not at all pleased. Despite the situation Mario and the others could only laugh.
"Well it looks like I'll be seeing you all in a bit!" E Gadd chuckled. "See you all back at my Lab Youngsters!" The Gameboy Horror suddenly shut off. Daisy childishly elbowed her husband in the arm.
"It looks like we're in for some GHOST BUSTING!" She laughed. Luigi could only let out another disappointed groan, as his friends joined in the laughing.
Yep it was Tatanga! Don't know if it was that much of a surprise. On a quick note I used Tatanga's comic design, instead of his video game one. (For those who don't know Tatanga appeared in a Super Mario land comic and his design was MUCH more intimidating and villainous than his video game one.)
Also "Goombo" isn't a typo... A Goombo is a Sarasaland "version" of a Goomba...Basically Tatanga was comparing Luigi to the "weakest" enemy in Sarasaland...Just thought I'd mention that. :)
So it looks like Yoshi, Birdo and the gang have 2 Stars down….4 more to go! And it looks like the next one may be in a haunted mansion! :D Once again THANK YOU all for your SUPPORT it REALLY means a lot! SEE YA NEXT CHAPTER!
