CHAPTER 33: When Relief comes Crashing down

OKAY….It looks like I've lied…. ^^; Well not in a bad way…But it looks like a few fellow Fanfiction buddies of mine (You KNOW who you are ^.^) gave me the motivation to give me that kick I needed to get ANOTHER chapter done! ^.^ Maybe I won't make you guys wait more than 2 weeks anymore… *Feeling Hopeful* ANYWAY lets get to what you all REALLY wanna read….CHAPTER 33!

Birdo 3rd person POV

Birdo wandered silently down a dimly lit hallway, continuously looking back and forth anxiously.

"YOSHI! WHERE ARE YOU!" She suddenly called, her voice obviously fearful. Not even 15 minutes into this horrible mansion and she had already been separated from not only from her friends, but her husband too. When no reply came, Birdo gave a whimper and a gulp and continued to follow the hallway.

"It was only dark for a moment…How did I lose track of them…?"

This thought continued to plague Birdo's mind. The lights had only gone out for 10 seconds tops and Birdo was confident that everyone had been right with her. It didn't make sense on how they seemed to disappear without a trace. With every step Birdo took, the fear and anxiety of ghosts or even worse a Boo attack grew stronger and stronger. Eventually Birdo entered a dimly lit room. Gripping her Poltergust 5001 tightly, Birdo cautiously scanned the room. Despite it being fairly lit, Birdo wasn't going to take the chance.

"Yoshi…..Where are you….?" A whimper escaped from Birdo's mouth as she stopped in the middle of the room.

"I've been here the whole time…"

Birdo felt her heart stop, both from shock and overwhelmed relief. Quickly turning around Birdo gave a gasp, standing only inches in front of her was Yoshi. He was casually leaning against the wall, a slight smile on his face. Without a second thought Birdo immediately ran over to him and buried her face into his chest. Despite looking slightly bothered, Yoshi gave a slight smile and put his arm around Birdo.

"I was so worried!" Birdo whispered in a whimper. After Birdo finished her sentence a smirk spread across Yoshi's face.

"Well you should be…."

Birdo's eyes suddenly opened, still holding onto Yoshi, she slowly looked up at him. Seeing the sight in front of her, Birdo immediately tried to pull herself away, however Yoshi suddenly gripped her arm tightly preventing her from doing so. Birdo let out a gasp as she attempted to pull away again, Yoshi however wasn't letting go. Panicked Birdo took her free hand and attempted to pull Yoshi's off.

"What's the matter Birdo?" Yoshi asked his voice having a mocking tone to it. "Didn't you just say you missed me?" Birdo loosened her grip slightly as she stared at Yoshi. His eyes held an eerie look, like none she had ever seen before.

"You're scaring me Yoshi…" Birdo whimpered, once again attempting to pull his hand off of her arm. Birdo suddenly winced in pain as Yoshi's grip on her arm increased significantly. A evil smile spread across Yoshi's face.

"Perfect….." He hissed. Without even thinking Birdo suddenly pushed Yoshi, causing him to release her arm.

"Yoshi…WHAT'S gotten into you!" Birdo suddenly cried, placing a few feet between herself and Yoshi. Several seconds of silence went by before a laugh came from Yoshi.

"Heh heh heh heh HA HA HA HA!" Birdo shivered and took several more steps backwards. Yoshi smiled. "Well looks like the fun is over…." He shrugged, while still smirking at Birdo. "So LETS get onto business!" Birdo suddenly flinched as Yoshi without warning suddenly pulled his Poltergust 5001 from behind him and charged at her with it. Luckily Birdo's reflexes were fast and despite the sudden action, she too grabbed her Poltergust 5001 from behind her back and deflected Yoshi's attack. Yoshi let out a growl and made another attempt however it ended with the same result. Then Yoshi did something Birdo didn't see coming, instead of going for her upper body he suddenly swung his Poltergust 5001 at her legs, unfortunately Birdo wasn't so lucky as the attack knocked her off her feet. Seeing the opportunity Yoshi suddenly ran over to Birdo and pointed his Poltergust 5001 at her chest. "So it looks like I'm the victor huh?" Yoshi snickered, pressing the nozzle of his Poltergust 5001 against Birdo's chest. Birdo didn't respond, she couldn't understand what was wrong with her husband. Yoshi was NEVER this rough and disrespectful to anyone. Not knowing what was going on, made Birdo fearful beyond words. "Well anything to say?" Yoshi asked smugly, roughly shoving the nozzle into Birdo's chest again.

"We…" Birdo's eyes started to tear up. "We have our daughter….." Birdo stopped again, mentioning Shelly made her heart ache. "…To find…" She finally finished, tears threatening to spill down her face. Yoshi suddenly gave a snort.

"YEeeeah…Like I care about that pathetic brat…" He responded, rolling his eyes. Birdo blinked, she heard but didn't believe.

"How CAN you say that about Shelly!" Birdo suddenly snapped, whatever fear she had was suddenly sucked out of her mind and was replaced with rage. Yoshi responded with another rough shove with his Poltergust 5001.

"You forget who has the upper hand here…." Yoshi snapped in retaliation. "But just for your convenience, I'll repeat myself again…..I-DON'T-CARE-ABOUT-THAT-PATH-ET-IC-BRAT!" Birdo suddenly took a swat at Yoshi's Poltergust 5001 to knock it away, however Yoshi skillfully moved it out of the way and suddenly slammed it into Birdo's abdomen. Birdo let out a whimper of pain as her back slammed onto the floor.

"Yoshi….WHY….?"

Daisy 3rd person POV

"PEACH! WHAT'S GOTTEN INTO YOU!"

Daisy had barely been able to muster that, as Peach's Poltergust 5001 just barely skimmed her face. Daisy had wandered the mansion alone for ten minutes before stumbling upon Peach, who at the time appeared to be unconscious. However Daisy was immediately proven wrong as Peach without hesitation attacked her. This assault had been going on for nearly fifteen minutes and Daisy without a doubt was beginning to get worn out.

"Oh come on Daisy? Don't tell me you're backing out!" Peach sneered mockingly, as she took another swing at Daisy. "Aren't people always saying that you're the tougher one? SHOULDN'T you be putting up more of a fight than just running away from me?" At this comment Daisy suddenly swatted Peach's Poltergust 5001 away.

"If I were running away I wouldn't still be in this mansion dealing with you…." Daisy answered coolly as she stared Peach down.

"Then WHY don't you take a swing at me!" Peach laughed gleefully as she charged at Daisy yet again. This time Daisy was ready, as Peach closed in on her, Daisy skillfully moved out of Peach's range. Upon moving however Daisy suddenly felt a sharp pain in her side. Quickly turning around Daisy was confused to see that there was nothing there. However a loud crash brought Daisy's attention back over to where Peach was. Daisy couldn't help herself as Peach had charged right into a book shelf, Daisy let out a snicker.

"You alright dear…..?" Daisy whispered, somewhat concerned. Peach let out a growl as she without warning turned her Poltergust 5001 on and vacuumed up several books before assaulting Daisy with a barrage of books. Luckily for Daisy she was able to dodge the books, however Peach's last shot hadn't been at her. Before Daisy had time to react the book had slammed hard into the overhead chandelier, causing it to fall. Daisy didn't have enough time to properly react, jumping to get out of the way, Daisy felt something cut into her arm. Wincing Daisy felt her body slam hard onto the ground.

"Are YOU alright DEAR? HA HA!"

Daisy couldn't help but let out a growl in frustration as Peach quite literally skipped over to her. Kneeling down in front of her Peach shook her index finger.

"Well it looks like Peachys' the tougher one NOW! Hehe!" Peach giggled, suddenly pulling her Poltergust 5001 from behind her. Daisy didn't know how to respond, she couldn't believe it, Peach had NEVER stooped to such a low. Daisy hadn't made a single attack on her and yet Peach had no problem trying to crush her with a chandelier. "Any last words Daaaaaisy?" Peach laughed mockingly. Daisy clenched her fists and let out a growl.

"This is NOT the Peach I know…."

WHEW….Things are REALLY getting serious now! Poor Birdo having to hear her husband call their daughter pathetic….TWICE! :o And Daisy having her Best Friend attack her out of the blue and quite savagely at that…. *shiver* Well I'm sorry if this Chapter has left some of you confused…But DON'T worry questions will be answered SOON!
